Clean and quiet. Very little noise from adjoining rooms or hallways. Guests and employees courteous and helpful. Safe and convenient location in theaters district NYC. Elevator system excellent and easy to use with very little wait time. And the revolving bar upstairs so much fun with fabulous view. We'll definitely go back again and again.

For a 4-Star hotel, WiFi should be included in the price of the room, not just in the lobby where connection speed is dismal due to predictable heavy usage. This feature is no longer a luxury convenience used by a few but a fact of every day life for most, particularly those whose travel plans bring them to NYC.

I specifically called hotels.com and the Marriott Marquis Hotel 3 times when I made my reservation to advise that I "required" (not just requested as a preference) a room with 2 beds -- not 1 king size bed -- because I was a party of 3 adults -- mother, father and son. I emphasized that this was not a preference request, but a requirement -- otherwise […] I would book another hotel. I was assured that I was guaranteed a room with 2 double beds. When I arrived to register at the hotel, they had no idea that I needed 2 double beds & asked if I would accapt a room with 1 king bed!!! -- That is terrible and will deter me from booking there again. Check-in did not go well. We arrived at 4 PM. We were told the parking garage, which is for registered guests, was full. No options for parking were suggested by the valet staff. Inside,there was a long line at the registration desk. We were told to check back because our rooms were not ready. We had lunch in the lobby restaurant (Crossroads) where […] the waiter was nice, but the sandwiches were overpriced and the wait for our sandwiches was unnecessarily long. After lunch, I got back in line and was told my room was still not ready. The clerk offered to buy me a drink while I was waiting. I declined because I am traveling with my four young children, so we sat in the lobby and continued to wait. I got back in line to check on our room several times. We were finally given room keys at 6:15. We had tickets for a 7:30 Broadway show, so we rushed to get the family ready in time. Although we did not get connecting rooms as requested at the time I made the reservation, they were very clean. The view from the rooms and the location of the hotel were great. The TV did not work in one of our rooms, but someone did come to fix it in the morning. When told them we were less than satisfied with our Marriott experience, they offered us late check out, which we did not need because we had tickets for a morning show. Read more

THE HOTEL LOCATION IS PERFECT, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYTHING!! THE STAFF WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL, THE FOOD IN THE RESTAURANTS WAS GOOD AND THE ROOMS FOR NYC VERY SPACIOUS! I AM HEADING BACK TO THE CITY THIS SUMMER AND WILL STAY AT THE MARRIOTT MARQUIS AGAIN!

Located in the heart of the action, with amazing views of Times Square. We were up high enough (floor 35) so that the noise was not an issue at night. Our room had a king sized bed and sofa-bed. This is the 4th or 5th time here. Treated more like cattle than returning guest. Coffee pot broken. Took many calls and trip to desk to fix. As checking out...used bellman abut needed time before cab. When in cab line bellman walked luggage and guests in front of us. Never again.

First time trip to NYC. Marriott has a great property of a hotel on Times Square in the Marquis. No comment offered on the restaurants. We wanted to eat as local as we could, so we ate elsewhere to experience "the real deal". We enjoyed our stay. The staff went above and beyond with friendliness, etc. our room was very spacious and of course we had an excellent view of Time Square to the point that our kids would sit at the window and just watch and watch. Excellent location and CLEAN!!! Very helpful, friendly staff. Items in hotel very expensive including all food items so take advantage of freebies such as free WIFI on 8th floor, free bag check, free tourist info etc.....would definately stay here again and highly reccommend!

The best thing about the Marriott Marquis is the location. It is right in the heart of Times Square. This may not work for everyone, but for me it was fantastic. From my room, I had a partial view of the Square and could watch filming of Good Morning America. At night, you could easily walk to all of the Broadway theatres. The room itself was clean […] and I felt was large in size. My room had 2 queen beds and a pull-out sleeper love seat. One thing I thought very odd, was the low height of the toilets. For older folks, or those with decreased quad strength, this could be quite a problem. I actually asked the front desk staff about this, and was told all toilets are indeed low and the same in all rooms, except for the "accessible rooms". Also for the price paid, the quality of the towels was pitiful. Towels are much better at any Holiday Inn Express. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here very much. However I might try another hotel in Times Square next time, to get a few more luxury amenities. Read more

All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The corner room that we stayed in had a great view of the Times Square Area, but the curtains/drapes were designed so that the lights did not seep into our room at night.
