This hotel was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, many of the employees spoke English. The hotel is located in a very nice area and right in the middle of the city center. There is a beautiful park and historic cathedral literally right outside the main doors. The river walk and shopping is about a 5 minute walk. My husband and I even walked […] to the river at night and was totally comfortable. We will be visiting this hotel again, and I would definetly recommend it. The hotel staff was very helpful in helping us plan our visit around the city. Also, it is located right accros from a park that is loaded with iguana's and a beautiful church. The hotel itself is in the process of remodeling, they put us in the new tower and it was beautiful!

you need to replace the carpet on the reception area and vent the room to get the mold smell out of it , other than that it was a good stay, very friendly staff and helpful, the food is excellent.

In downtown Guayaquil, the hotel offers a secure location close to the city sights. Malecon 2000 is only two to three blocks away and the hotel is across from the Parque Seminario. (That is where the iguanas live) The service wasgood. AC is each room as well as good service. The hotel is more along the lines of a 3 star hotel.

Good location. Close to the malecon and museums. Great breakfast. Service at front desk is very slow. Exercise room needs updating with better equipment. Rooms are comfortable and well furnished. Public areas of hotel are very cold. Also not able to control temperature in the rooms, too cold.

The hotel is located in the center of downtown within a few blocks of MALECON 2000, and across the street from IGUANA PARK. The staff was courteous but hurried. The bellhops were very attentive. The reception is on the 2nd floor. The hotel is also part of a shopping center area. The UNICAFE was good and buffet style. The rooms were clean and neat. There […] was a alcohol bar, but the alcohol can be bought for less on the street. The shower was stopped up and needed plunged, but that was ok. There was WIFI and acessible. I was also told by the hotel that since I booked this hotel thru expedia and it only showed one passenger that I would have to pay an additional $20.00 per night if my husband who resides in ecuador was to stay with me in the room, I explained that it only showed one passenger cause i was the only one traveling, they could not and would not accept that […] my husband stay with me in my room unless I pay the additional $20. a night extra. I was to say the least very very unsatisfied. I am traveling back to Ecuador in January, 2011., not sure if I want to choose the same hotel, since I normally travel from USA to Ecuador alone, my husband lives in Ecuador. The hotel was all right. Upon entering there was no indication as to where the lobby was, so one has to poke around the various elevator buttons till you get lucky; the right side elevator requires a room card to go up, while the left one does not. The concierge and check in lady were very nice. The bathroom was "petite", but the bed was good, as was […] the t.v. Had a safety box (had to ask the cleaning lady how to operate it (!), but thereafter it worked fine. Wireless internet had good bandwidth. The 1st floor restaurant, has flashy aspirations, but the staff has no concept of cleanliness; the waiter picks up a dropped spoon from the floor, and then proceeds to handle a food plate (yeech!). The sushi bar on the 2nd floor was very good, and clean. The gym is alright, with modern treadmills, weights, etc. The hotel has taxis that are known to them, and not much more expensive than a street cab, but the safety factor is definitively worth it. Overall: stay at the hotel, avoid the 1st floor restaurant. Read more

We stayed in this hotel for one night before we went to the Galapagos Islands and another night after we came back. The hotel is in downtown Guayaquil. It is right across the street from a park filled with large iguanas and a cathedral. It is also a few blocks away from the boardwalk by the river. However, Guayaquil itself is not much to look at. And […] due to the high crime rate, we didn't dare to explore. The hotel front desk also advised us not to take our valuables and passports with us when we go out. The toilet in the hotel room that we stayed in the first night had a slight leak problem. But other than that, both rooms are spacious and quite comfortable. Read more

Convenient and (free - on the way in) airport shuttle. Room clean but not luxurious. Staff very helpful and professional. However, the mall located next to/in the hotel is loud and cheap-looking. Can hear street noise, even with closed windows. Breakfast very good.

The hotel is located a short walk from the Malecon, one of the key attractions in Guayaquil. It is next to a lovely park and a beautiful church, so the views are great. The airport shuttle is free, however the staff forgot to put our names on the list for the driver. Checkin was quick, and complementary drinks were offered, however the checkin staff […] lacked proficiency in English. The room was great, very large with clean sheets and lots of space. There was a flat-screen television, with English-speaking channels, which was nice. The bathroom was large as well, with a full set of complementary bath supplies, however the hot water took 20 minutes to heat. A great hotel, but the lack of English proficiency was a surprise, and disappointment since that was part of the reason we booked with them. Otherwise, a good experience. Read more

El hotel está muy bien ubicado, enfrente de la plaza de las Iguanas, bien mantenido, y ofrece desayuno con pago adicional en la habitación (al menos en nuestra instancia). El transfer ofrecido es desde al aeropuerto al hotel, desde el hotel al aeropuerto se debe abonar, siempre está la opción de tomar un taxi que sale lo mismo, mas barato si son dos […] personas. Esta muy bien mantenido, dentro de un shopping, la entrada es por la Calle de la Plaza, pero nos asignaron la habitación en el otro cuerpo, la habitación era amplia, limpia el baño con dos bachas y compartimentado. Realmente el Hotes es mas que 3*, el personal es amabilisimos. El hotel tiene un mini bus para transfer IN. Para esto hay que coordinar con ellos antes de llegar, ya que te pueen recoger del aeropuerto. Estuve alojado en el hotel sólo por un día. El servicio del personal del hotel y conserjería deja mucho que desear. Muy poco amables.
