Spent three nights in town for a wedding/mini-vaca. Overall hotel was excellent. Room was very nice and the convenience to the areas many restaurants was excellent. At first the location seemed undesirable but great dining and arts district was only a 2 block walk.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is beautiful just my room was not as clean the rug was stained it could have been cleaner but i would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great room and location. Valet parking should have been diplayed better. Breakfast buffet is really expensive for what they had. Better off to eat elsewhere.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"In need of repair"
Although this Omni is in a terrific location, for all types of activities in Providence, it is in serious need of some updates and upgrades. The lobby was taped off and filled with boxes and construction materials. The reception area was a mess, and the staff looked uncomfortable and tired. All staff were kind, helpful, and professional, but for the […] cost and location of this hotel, I would hope that the corporation would put some serious effort into modernization and cleanup of the entire structure. The air conditioner in the room was extremely loud and the hotel was under construction which I did not know when I made the reservation, that is probably why I got such a low price for the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"An okay Hotel."
stayed for the labor day weekend. There was some renovations being done to the hotel so navigating through certain parts was a bit confusing due to lack of signs. We stayed in a 3rd floor room, it was quiet for the most part considering we were facing the interstate. The room was clean, beds were not very cozy but manageable and the sheets they used […] for our room had small holes and stains on them. They should have been thrown out instead of reused. Aside from that the staff is excellent and friendly, the location is great for business travelers but not so much for leisure in my opinion. In conclusion, there were some minor annoyances however a nice hotel. I feel rooms on lower floors facing the interstate is a bit a over priced and parking rates should be much less than what they are for hotel guests. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"OVERPRICED And NOT WORTH IT"
Spent $300 for 1 night in a tiny King sized room with very limited space and torn wallpaper in the bathroom. Very Very disappointed with my stay and WILL NEVER be back and DO NOT Recommend anyone else spend their hard earned money at such an outdated and SMALL room for $300! Pretty stupid of me but Lesson Learned. Stay AwayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Conveniently located downtown hotel in Providence, walking distance to some attractions, many restaurants and a large shopping mall. Room was comfortable. Partly peeling wallpaper in bathroom, but everything works. Only gripe is the charge for wifi, which is free in most hotels I have stayed lately.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Didn't meet expectations"
I stayed at this hotel over Labor Day weekend with friends. Nice place & great location in Providence. Service wasn't as good as you'd expect from an Omni Hotel. Called 3 seperate times to have the room turned down and nothing. At. All. Spoke with 3 people who advised that the room would be taken care of while I was out.. and Nothing. I was turned off […] and wouldn't return to this hotel if I came back to Providence Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, great beds"
This was a great location. We could walk to the Fire Water celebration on Saturday night as well as to local bars and restaurants and downtown, even up to Brown University which is rich in architectural treasures. The beds were extremely comfortable, and on the 25th floor we had a panoramic view of Providence. They were doing some reconstruction work […] on the lobby which made getting to the parking garage a bit difficult, though. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fancy Price with No Frills"
The Omni coasts on its name, but having stayed at 9 hotels in 12 days, I'd say that the Omni had the highest room charge and offered the least perks for their guests: no WiFi, no continental breakfast, no free parking, no ice bucket in room, no complimentary coffee in the lobby, and our room had a broken bathroom door, which wouldn't shut.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"water fire event"
Hotel was next door to Providence Mall and A short walk to the "Water Fire Event". Hotel staff was very friendly. The only annoyance was our hotel room door rattled every time another guest shut their door. I would also recommend hotels (not just Omni) to make an effort to separate families from couples. We enjoy children but the family in the next […] room were very noisey late into the night. Overall however, I would recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The room we stayed in was next to the emplyee elevator. It was quite loud and kept us up for hours. After a certain hour the elevator should not be used as to keep up the guest in the rooms that are adjactent to the elevator roomGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to river & Providence Mall - easy access"
Our stay was very nice. The hotel was clean & staff was friendly although twice we asked questions that they either didn't know the answer to or gave wrong answer. Beds were very comfortable although small (double), would have been nice to have queen. Views from room were nice - breakfast buffet very good and the bartender in the lounge was excellent. […] Thought it a little strange that you had to use a credit card in order to access the in-room safe. This should be a courtesy. But, I would book here again. "Good but expensive"
Very nice, great staff, AMAZINGLY comfortable bed (I slept 'till 10:30! A.M.). Not sure if the price is justified in Providence, RI though. I paid a NYC price, even through Hotels.com.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great hotel, perfect location, clean, wonderfully helpful staff from the valet to housekeeping, can't say enough good things about the Omni. Only top would be to if you park use the parking garage right behind the hotel as opposed to te valet through the hotel- parking garage is $18 while valet at hotel is $28. $18 parking garage connects to hotel (park […] on 4th floor). "Great Boutique Hotel in Providence"
The Hotel Providence is located in the heart of downtown, walking distance from dozens of great restaurants and bars. the hotel is comfortable and clean. They have a PC in the lobby with a printer attached.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great rooms in a great location!!"
Clean rooms and great service. Conveniently located as well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was not very clean, a lot of dust on furniture and sheet were spotty and we call housekeeping to change. Housekeeping service was very slow and we expected a lot and it was very unpleasant beacause was round midnight and we wanted to sleep.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice Comfy bedsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The Omni is an outstanding hotel in Providence ! The staff is fantastic and very nice ! The location is very easy right off the highway exit downtown, valet park . In the summer ,If it's nice weather, take a $5.00 cab ride and head up to "Federal hill" and go sit outside at the "Venda Bar" ! It is a great place to relax for a drink and to listen to […] the music ! I recommend eating at "Siena's" down and across the street , it is rated as Providence's #1 restaurant for several years in a row ! "easy drive from 95 and walk to beautiful downtown"
Family stayed here during a sports tournament and the hotel's easy access to I-95 made getting to and from various fields hassle free. The downtown location allowed us to explore Providence, which we wouldn't have done had we stayed on the outskirts. Skywalk to the adjacent mall was great and would be particularly nice during inclement weather. Staff […] was friendly and the hotel (including our room) was clean, bright and quite elegant. "Lovely hotel and staff but VERY noisy"
The hotel and staff were great. The building is lovely, clean and the beds super comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly. However the noise level at night was reall, really loud. Music and motorcyles until about 3:00 a.m. made it hard to sleep. Bring your white noise machine with you!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We enjoyed the location of the hotel, as it was attached to the Providence Place Mall and was within walking distance to Waterfire festivities. The room has been renovated but there was a strong smell of bleach in the room. The beds were comfortable and the bedding of good quality. The pool was not in good condition, very small and dirty. We did not […] use it, much to my son's disappointment. The front desk check in was quick and Manuel was very pleasant and helpful. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
First, it is impossible to find this hotel due to construction in the downtown area. It took us 30 minutes to get to the front door. The self-park instructions were confusing. To make up for our bad beginning, the front desk offered to send us a bottle of white wine. When it arrived it was red, which I am allergic to. The staff person told us the hotel […] was out of white wine. We asked her to check again. She came back with sparkling white wine from Bronco Winery, which is bottom of the barrel. The double room was small and old. There is no fan in the bathroom. The lobby is not furnished. They charge $10/night/device for wi-fi The neighborhood is very sketchy. For $200 a night, this hotel was a disappointment. Avoid! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"No member services if book through 3rd party"
Don't book through a third party if you are accustomed to receiving omni guest services such as complimentary wifi and ironing services. You have to pay for each service when booking through a third party and the hotel will stress that you booked through a third party constantly. Check with hotel before booking would be my suggestion for future travelers. […] Otherwise the hotel is clean and beds are comfortable. Great location! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Customer Service"
I proposed to my fiancé at the Omni Providence. I booked a night at the hotel during the first full water fire lighting of the season, and asked her to marry me in the room. I told the hotel of my plans prior to our arrival, and they were amazing. They not only upgraded us to a very nice room, but the concierge actually walked me up to the room (while […] they were cleaning if for me and I wasn't supposed to be able to check in yet), so I could put flowers in the room before we got there. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are very nice. The beds are comfortable and the climate control works great. The hotel is in the heart of Providence, so there is a ton to do in the area. I would return again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Average down town hotel"
The Omni is your average downtown hotel: The Pros - decent size room; fast elevators; friendly staff. The Cons: We were put in an upgraded room (post renovation) The room lighting was poor, the in-room safe didn't work (to the hotel's credit, a staff person came fairly quickly to try to fix it although we still had to store our valuables with the staff […] in the lobby) and the room door was poorly fitted and required significant effort to close. The hotel's restaurants were very pricey (it's a conference location!) and the lobby is not "sitting friendly". It's downtown so parking's expensive - valet @ $28.day (in and out) or $18/day if you leave your car in the convention parking lot next door - easy walk. We took it out one evening: returning = $12. "Loved it here!!!"
The hotel was just beautiful!! Staff was excellent!! Our favorite thing to do in Providence besides eating... Was the La Gondola ride!!! Catch it at 1 Citizen Plaza. It's a nice walk over the bridge. "convenient and comfortable"
The location is easy to get to from most major highways in the area,. I walked to dinner at a good nearby restaurant and was able to catch the free concert and water fires. The valet parking was prompt and courteous. I have stayed her before and plan to come back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect for families"
Very clean and comfortable. My daughter loved the pool and welcome gift they gave her ( backpack with coloring book crayons twisty straw and cards)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The lobby and public areas are very nice. I was on the 4th floor and arrived to find an old room service tray full of dishes and food outside my door. The room, itself was fine. The corridor had some stains on the carpets as well as a few used Q-Tips. Valet parking - very good (albeit $28) service. Front desk - bad first impression. I walked up to the […] desk and rather than "Hello" or "Good afternoon" all I got was "Last name?" The ladies with whom I spoke later in the day and the next day were quite helpful. The best person and most enthusiastic was a woman who was cleaning rooms - as I was leaving she smiled and asked "Did you enjoy your stay with us?" So, a mixed review. Good location if you want to walk to Federal Hill and there are some good pubs even closer. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great stay at the Omni!"
The staff was great at the omni! i've traveled around the world for business and pleasure many times and have stayed in hundreds of hotels. From valet to miguelle at the front desk, these guys were great! I would recommend this to any one looking for a hotel in the area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The beds were very comfortable and great comfy blankets. It was pouring when we were there, so the bridge to the mall (which has a movie theater and restaurants) was perfect. The pool was disappointingly small, a hotel with over 500 rooms should have a pool with the capacity of more than 10! I think it's shameful when you are charged for internet these […] days, so that was not something I was happy about. And parking was expensive, but it always is in cities. But the location is great, close to Federal Hill. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The service here was MISERABLE on many, many fronts. What a disappointment, as I'd always wanted to stay at this particular hotel. Quick example, I called reception FOUR times before checking in to see if I was able to get a room with a balcony. After speaking to different staff and getting the run-around, I figured I'd just check in and press my luck, […] asking one more time. Upon check-in, the staff member (the FIFTH person I'm now asking) tells me that none of the balconies are even accessible. Wait, what? I had to speak to 4 people first, before finding out that my request was inane to begin with? And they wanted MORE MONEY for a room with an inaccessible balcony? I am sure it is nice to have larger windows, but it is beyond me why someone would fork over more money for a balcony that cannot be used. Furthermore, why these employees are not trained to explain that balconies might be pretty and cost more, but are technically unavailable for any guest to enjoy is just one example of their poor training and service. Another would be the in-room drink service, where the bartender sent up 2 mixed drinks (one diet; one with regular soda) without marking them as to signal to the server (or us) which one was which. My friend has a medical condition and needed the diet. After several calls to the bar, we were told (no joke) that the "one on the right was diet". For any of you still reading, I'll let you do the math... Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I was a bit thrown off when Hotel Security Threatened to evict us from our room when the neighbors across the hall were having a party of sorts. There were a lot of events in the city this particular weekend and I got the impression that security was going around to most doors and letting guests know to keep the noise down, even though no one had complained. […] This occurred around 6 PM, a time when most hotel guests are out and about anyways. Though I appreciate the Hotel's efforts to minimize a party atmosphere, reprimanding guests for something they were not involved in is not a good way to win them over. We had flown into JFK from a vacation in Italy and had to be in Newport for a wedding the next morning at 11:30. Needless to say, when we arrived at the Omni Providence, we were utterly exhausted!
