"Decent Hotel just off the Vegas Strip"
The room was a pleasant surprise after walking through the smoke filled lobby and casino. The rooms must have been remodeled recently as they seemed newer, clean and free of the smoke from downstairs. If management could alleviate the smoke filled casino this property would be excellent.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Quite Good for the Money"
The rooms are very nice for the price, even the standard rooms. Large, and very clean. I stay here every time I'm in Vegas. The staff is always helpful. I enjoy the reasonably-priced restaurants, and Ping Pang Pong has won many restaurant awards. It seems like a more mellow crowd than the huge hotels. The pool is not a "scene", but could use a bit of […] perking up. You have to go inside to get a drink in a plastic cup, and no food is allowed. There is no shade except what the building itself provides. I've only ever been there is April, and not sure if things change during high season, but it might be nice to have some pool serivce. All in all though, I would recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very pleasant stay."
The staff was very polite and friendly . Our room was nicely outfitted and very clean. Valet parking was free and very fast. I would stay there againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed in the cheapest-grade room, which appeared to have been remodeled in the past few years. Layout of the room was quite interesting, including a shower without a door (it works!). Free Wi-Fi was included with the resort fee, which was great! Beds were comfy. Ate at the breakfast buffet, which included drinks and was good quality for the small […] price. This a great hotel! Its close to the strip and has a free shuttle that takes you to the strip. It has different restaurants inside the hotel as well. The only problem I had was the bathroom floor was not very clean which made me wonder how clean the rest was.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great customer service."
Checked in late in the evening, staff provided timely, outstanding service. Provided clear instructions to allow us to get shuttle transportation to the airport scheduled easily. Cleaning staff was wonderful and efficient. Roselyn at the front desk went above and beyond to help get our boarding passes printed the day before we checked out for our return […] home. The breakfast and dinner buffets were were second to none. The fitness center was a little too cold, but the hot tub was outstanding. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Business trip, NAB"
For the most part the staff was efficient and pleasant. Room was clean and acceptable, the location and price were as expected. Check out took a little longer than it should have, I ended up waiting almost ten minutes for someone to appear at the front desk to help me. This happened one other time when I needed assistance at the front desk. When they […] did show up they were efficient at resolving the issue at hand. The restaurants were well staffed with very good service staff and the food was well prepared and very good quality. I would recommend this hotel to others for business and price and I will likely stay here again in the future. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Weak staffing reception and restaurant"
When we arrived we were told we didn't have reservation although guaranteed by Expedia, luckily I had the reservation email still on my phone, then I was given the lame excuse that there was a mix up between first and last names although I gave both. Then we went to the buffet (advertised for $9.99) we paid $13 because we didn't have player cards, the […] buffet closes at 10 pm, they started taking the food right at ten, the waitress dared to ask if the 1.5 year toddler paid for the buffet. Asked the cook to throw the rib eyes on the grill for few extra minutes cause they were bloody, when we got em they were charred. I will not go back to this hotel again. Yes I'm writing all this because I was not happy and I was supposed to be having fun when I go to Vegas. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
When I arrived to the hotel I was placed in a first floor room that had hair in the sink. I requested a new room and was given a new room later the next day. The next day I was given a different room on a higher floor. The floor became soaked after a shower because there was no shower door design in a single king bed room. The bell boy was never by […] his desk someone always had to call and fetch him when I needed service there. Hotel was really outdated . Dinning area was nice though and affordable prices for great food. Limited free wifi wasn't available nor free, they told you you get a certain amount of gb I believe and then tell you if you go over your room would automatically be charged. I didn't like that if I had of gone over I wouldn't have known and it should be unlimited. I give the place a 2 out of 5 stars. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"The gaming and restaurants receive high marks!"
The Front Desk (at registration) was very welcoming and friendly. The room needs immediate updating (yucky carpet, electrical extensions in full view; poor maid service--on the third day of our stay, the housekeeper entered the room, took her $6 tip and left. We returned late that evening to an unmade bed, towels on the floor in the bathroom, trash […] in the trash cans. The gaming was exhilarating and the service and food at the restaurants were both excellent. While I don't believe I would recommend the hotel to anyone, I may choose it as a last resort. It was great! We stopped here on our way to UTAH and we got in late. They upgraded us to a SUITE!!! What a surprise. It was wonderful. Beds were very comfy and the room was very clean!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had a premium room and the bathroom was not clean. My wife had to use half the towels we received just to clean the bathroom of black hair and dirt. When we complained the front desk clerk didn't care. We had to upgrade to a suite to get them to care. Our suite was beautiful but we will never use this hotel again due to ZERO customer service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"This hotel casino has it all"
Great alternative choice to more expensive strip hotels. Great casino. Great sports book. Affordable. Shuttle to strip is convenient. Staff is friendly. Don't expect too much on the rooms though... rooms are clean and comfortable but small and not many amenities.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean hotel for old people"
Gold Coast was clean but it's really a hotel for old people. None of the rooms had mini fridges. The only outlets to plug my phone in were way on the other side of the room which wasn't convenient at all. The walls were so thin that every time someone was in the hall you could hear it. Also, the doors were lose so mine jiggled every time someone opened […] theirs. I had to ask the front desk 4 seperate times for a mini fridge to go in my room, they kept saying they would send it up but never did. Very Clean place but I won't be staying there again. "Nice, cheap, no frills or suprises."
From the outside the Gold Coast looks like an old Spanish Mission that got converted into a very family friendly hotel. The buffet is very economical but tastes like TV dinners. The rooms are clean, cozy and roomy and the staff is friendly. The best thing is that its located next door to the Rio, where if you wanna get wild you can hang out there and […] avoid the Vegas strip all together. But if you want to go site seeing, you need to take a cab, limo or a personal vehicle to go on the town. You don't want to do much walking so close to the freeway. Excellent Hotel, First Time Staying And We Will Be Back. We Really Like The Security At Night To Rooms. And The In House Restaurants Are Great. A++++++Genuine Hotels.com guest review
One of the reasons that I chose it is because it had a nice pool. During my stay it was a beautiful, sunny 70 degree day, and there was a sign up "pool closed due to inclement weather". I guess it was a bit windy. Ruined my whole short stay---still charged me the resort fees, despite the fact that I used none of the services (or the pool).Genuine Expedia guest review
"Clean, friendly and reasonable"
I read some negative reviews before I booked, but I was surprised. It had a pleasant stay at a reasonable price and will definitely return on my next trip to Las Vegas.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Unbeatable for the price"
Room was great as was the price of dining at the buffet. Only suggestion would be not to stay on first floor, with the window north facing as I believe room 165 was. There was quite a bit of noise outside the window of our room in the morning, possibly from deliveries and pick ups.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great casino and clean rooms"
Good hotel, with awesome value for the money. Very nice casino. The rooms have coffee maker and free wifi. Resort fee is 11.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Surprisingly nice for the price"
Way beyond what I expected from a budget priced room. Comfortable bed and recent updates made it seem higher end. Only negatives were stained carpet and a slow drain in the shower. Other than that it was very nice for the 40 price.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not family friendly and Poor room design"
I've been to the Gold Coast for their buffet before, which is pretty good and fairly priced. Unfortunately that is pretty much the only reason to go there. We booked a room with two beds for us and our two children. Firstly, the entire floor where our room was located had a weird smell. Everyone who passed through the hall commented on the smell. I […] thought it smelled like eggs. I heard someone else say it smelled like dirty carpet water. Then we entered our room which appeared decent at first, although the kids also thought it smelled weird in there too. We checked out the bathroom which had no real door, only a block of wood that slid across the doorway and had no latch or lock. Oh and it had a giant gape so there was no real privacy. With the "door" closed I could still see the tv or my 4-year old looking at me from the other side of the room. I guess the door, or lack thereof, could be overlooked, but the bathroom had no bathtub, only a shower. When we saw that we immediately told the kids to stop jumping on the beds because we were going to call and get our rooms switched to one with a tub. We were told that only rooms with one king bed come with a tub, which makes zero sense. A single person or a couple sharing a king bed will most likely only require a shower. But a two-bed room will be shared by multiple people including those with children. It makes more sense to have a bathtub in those. So we were stuck in a tubless and virtually bathroom doorless room. After we got over that, the kids were excited to go swimming so we threw on our swimsuits and headed to the pool. My 9-year olds reaction pretty much summed it up. "That's it?!?" For a Las Vegas hotel, the pool was so dinky and small. Motels have bigger pools. At least it was heated. Later we checked out the bowling center. It was fun and we spent a lot of time there. But it's not reason enough to get us to ever book a room at the Gold Coast again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We didn't really come for the Las Vegas action. We drove from Illinois and we were here for a wedding in nearby Henderson. If I was going to do a Vegas trip again I would fly and take a taxi to a hotel on the strip. Everything would be in walking distance.Genuine Expedia guest review
I have stayed at the Gold Coast twice and each time has been wonderful. The rooms are comfortable and the food is good and reasonable. Coffee is available in the room and the Java coffee shop has good Danish, bagels and fruit.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Gold Coast, Las Vegas review"
My stay was pleasant. The hotel need a better pool and spa area to relax outside. I dont like the amount of cigarette smoke. It has the most smoke out of any casino I have been to. The ping pang pong is a good restaraunt. I had oyster shells in fried rice which was scary for me eating. TGI Friday was one of the best I have been to. The WI-FI was good […] with no problems. "Nice Hotel off the strip."
The experience was overall a very good one, although I am a light sleeper and I found the walls were thin or something because I heard every door open and close all night long. Also the air conditioning was quite noisy during the night.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Affordable and convenient"
The Gold Coast is the typical old-school Vegas hotel. The casino floor has seen its better days especially due to all of the saturated smoke (tough to breathe for non-smokers). However, the rooms have been renovated and were very nice. There is access to food 24-hours a day and a shuttle that takes you to/from the strip that was quite convenient. If […] you're looking for an affordable and clean place to stay, I recommend the Gold Coast -- just don't expect to stay there to gamble or be entertained. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would stay again"
Great location just off the strip with easy access to everything. Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. Had breakfast each day at the buffet ($5.50 with your club card is a pretty good deal) Ping Pang Pong and Noodle Express were very good and also well priced. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great off strip casino hotel, plenty of free parking and everything is fairly close. Clean, decent room & you don't spend all day walking or riding elevatorsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We usually stay at the Orleans in Vegas but it was booked. We chose the Gold Coast since it is a sister hotel to Orleans. We were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the hotel. The table in our room was dirty. The carpet in the casino was badly soiled and had trash on it. The campus had trash everywhere.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great hotel , close to the strip"
This is a great hotel to stay at. We were very pleased that the rooms appear to have been totally renovated and it looks and works wonderful. The rooms are modern, the bathroom is modern and well laid out. The glass shower is fabulous. The bed was very comfortable and there was NO smokey scent which I find common in Las Vegas !! The hotel provides a […] shuttle to the strip and it has free wifi for up to 3 devices. The resort fees for this hotel were much lower than other hotels in the area.
