"We stayed for 4 nights ."
The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. We would stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
I should mention up front, I'm not a fan of vegas. I was there for a conference and there were no more rooms available at the conference location so I found the Gold Coast Hotel & Casino. There is nothing fancy at this hotel. I'm suprised that there are still places that allow smoking inside, let alone have ashtrays placed throughout the building, but […] in Vegas, I don't think they have such a thing as non-smoking hotels. anyway, the room was decent sized and clean. The shower was OK and the bathroom was also fine. The staff were nice enough and gave me the info I needed to get out of the hotel. I was hit with some additional charges that I wasn't expecting as I checked out. the charges covered wifi access (they offer a 'Premium' wife option which I wouldn't bother with if you're already paying for a regular wifi connection) and a few other miscellaneous items like a shuttle to the strip that I never used. Aside from these charges, I thought the place was about what I could reasonably expect for the affordable price (~$50/day when I was there). The staff were helpful. There was a TGIFridays, Subway, and buffet along with a couple of chinese restaurants. If you need to eat healty food, you may be out of luck. Your sort of far from everything so you'll have to deal with the hand you're dealt restaurant-wise. All-in-all though, it was OK. Clean enough, staff were helpful enough and the price was definitely right. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"just a room"
I've stayed at Hardrock for the same price. Location was good to get to and from convention center.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great place to stay. I'v stayed there on and off for many years , and all ways enjoyed my stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable beds, spacious room and bathroom."
Nice facility, alot of restaurants available within hotel. Morning "all you can eat breakfast" was well worth the cost. Very close to the Strip and many other stores and restaurants. The beds were very comfortable, nicely updated furniture and carpet. I would recommend this to family and friends.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Small, old school hotel"
Unlike the Mega-Resorts, the Gold Coast is small and easy to navigate. Main draw is the Race Book which is well lit and well staffed, offering horse racing from coast to coast.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Better than imagined!!!! 39th Anniversary Get Away"
The Gold Coast was off the strip but in a nice location. The Gold Coast hotel provided free shuttle rides to and from the strip, and at another location off the strip. The drop off location on the strip was at bailey's which worked for us, it gave us time to walk around and enjoy the other sights, and great eating!!!!!!!! If you want to save on lodging […] expense the Gold Coast is the place to be, pretty clean, and the staff was friendly, and very helpful. I was really amazed at the different places to eat on the first floor of the Gold Coast, the food was great!!! My husband and I would stay there again if we ever go back to Vegas!!!! We liked our experience with the hotel and casino. The rooms were big enough to accomodate 2 people comfortably. The casino was nice and had enough to do for everyone.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great place if you smoke but horrible place if you don't. All in all good place to stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
Everything was adequate, but that was it. It also didn't help being woke up at 5 in the morning by a malfunctioning fire alarm. For what I paid, things should have been much better. Especially the internet service.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Mostly good. Some flaws."
Liked the room. Hated the mandatory $14.99 "Hotel Resort Fee" added onto the bill. That would have made a difference in my hotel pick. Great food at the Chinese restaurant, and at the Buffet. The $10 credit per room was only valid if you charged something to the room.(not clear at check-in). They advertised an inexpensive price at the buffet but it […] was for a restaurant around the corner.(Misleading). Nice helpful people. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great hotel for the price. Conveniently located near the strip. The riom was updated with a sleek modern design, cleand and comfortable. Great price for Vegas. I prefer staying in a smaller hotel rather thsn having to walk vast distances across the casino. Parking was convenient. We didnt eat here so I have no idea what the dining was like. Would stay […] here again in a heartbeat. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good for the price!"
Check in at 6PM was only 1 Clerk. 1st room was to be non-smoking and it smelled heavily of smoke. Called and said to come back down to checkin and would give me another room. next room was non-smoking and did not smell of smoke. Rooms appeared to be up dated recently. Could use an outlet on the beside table for phone charger. Had to charge from desk […] which only had a single outlet. I was on the 2nd floor and was quiet. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice accomations but buffet not so good!"
The buffet has really gone down hill..... The food was dried out and could tell it was left over from lunch when we arrived for dinner at 6:00 pm. Desserts were pretty dried out as well. Over all the room accomadations were clean and very comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable, clean, and nice room"
The casino is older, but still fun and intimate. I didnt go for the casino, I went for the room. The room was clean, well maintained, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The only negatives were at check in, the lady was rude, and the a/c didnt cool well unyil we opened the window.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Quality of serviceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We went to Vegas and my friends all stayed in different casinos. I have to say the Goldcoast was by far the one with the biggest rooms. The staff was very nice and friendly. The best part is that there is a TGI FRIDAY'S and it's open 24/7.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Las Vegas vacations"
Great hotel if you are on a budget. In my case the priority was to know as much as I can about Las Vegas, so I decided to assign more money to shows and tours than to the hotel, overall the hotel was clean and nice, the free shuttle service to the strip was extremely useful, as other travelers noted, smoke from cigarettes was intense in the first floor, […] but OK in the rooms. Consider this hotel if you don't want to waste money on luxury lodging. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Warning: "RESORT FEE" Ripoff!!!!"
"RESORT FEE" Seriously???? I paid for the room in advance but when we checked in we were told we owed MORE money. Apparently they charge almost $15 per night (inc tax) as a "RESORT" fee. There is a large sign at the check-in counter that indicates that the resort fee is for the following items: parking, coffee in room, internet & wi-fi, use of the […] pool, use of the gym, and shuttle service to their sister hotel on the strip, We said we were NOT going to use ANY of those services & should not be charged, they said we had NO choice. It's charged to everyone regardless. ALL of their advertising states that ALL of those services and amenities are included FREE. That is FALSE advertising!!!! This "RESORT FEE" is highway robbery and this hotel chain is taking advantage of all its guests. There is a HUGE sign stating that the parking lot was provided as a courtesy service to their guests. I guess they like to lie right to your face! DONT TELL ME ITS FREE AND THEN TURN AROUND AND CHARGE ME A RESORT FEE! They are bold faced liars!!!! They must not know the meaning of the words FREE and COMPLIMENTARY!!!! Give me a break, the Gold Coast hotel IS NOT upscale, IS NOT a resort, never was, and never will be. DONT STAY HERE, ITS A RIP OFF!!!! The fee ends up being more than 25% per night or MORE. RIP OFF!!!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
My stay at the Gold Coast Hotel was very enjoyable. A great location without the hassle of being on the strip. Excellent amenities and clientele. It's a gem in every way.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Location was convenient. The service was wonderful. The buffet was great. The price we got for our room was outstanding. The only thing that would have improved the stay was if part of the casino was non-smoking. We did not gamble but had to walk through the casino area to go to our room and to the buffet and the smoke was overwhelming for my wife. […] I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. "First visit, good choice"
Check in personnel not the friendliest. Asked for two double beds, non smoking room with a roll away. Checked in and said that they could not put a roll away in a room with two double beds, just in a room with a king bed. Why anyone would want that I don't know. Again, the resort fees, $14.99 per day, are ridiculous. Small pool and exercise room, that's […] it. Very few people using either. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
i have always stayed on the las vegas strip but this time i wanted something slower and more mellow than the hustle and bustle of the las vegas strip hotels and casinos. being off of the las vegas strip if you like a calmer, slower pace in las vegas away from all the tourist the gold coast is the place to stay at. more of a place for older guests and […] locals. room was clean and adequate and even a coffee maker in the room. free shuttle bus to the orleans casino and to the strip stopping at ballys was a nice touch. shuttle was very efficient and runs from 9am to 12:30am. i liked the buffet a lot. buffet breakfat for $6, $8 lunch,$10 dinner when you show your boyd players card is a great bargain in vegas these days. food was decent too. 2 asian restaurants, a tgif"s and also a steakhouse were very reasonably priced. there is also a subway and a coffee place there. 70 bowling lanes and a huge bingo room are located upstairs. table game area was really smokey. rio and palms casino are just across the street. i did my research and read many reviews on the gold coast before i made my reservation. i suggest you guys do the same. it was the right place for me. booked through expedia with no problems. i would recommend the gold coast hotel and casino. The rooms are old and outdated, the employees are friendly, the casino was too smoky, for the price I was expecting something more luxury .Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We were upgraded to a two bedroom suite complementary. It was a very clean, comfortable suite. You can obviously tell its one of the older hotels in that area but there has been some very nice upgrades to the rooms. I would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice off the strip hotel."
My only issue is the $15.00+ per day hotel amenities fee that was a surprise charge. It was never mentioned during booking or in the reservation confirmation. An extra charge like that needs to be explained up front.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Last Minute for Meeting in Vegas"
I paid $37 for the room on a Thrusday night, imagine my surprise when i checked my bank statement on Saturday and saw $131 charged to my card! When I called, the front desk said they would reimburse me… Room was adequate for a quick sleep for the night. Bathroom had a funny smell, but my husband told me it was bleach.Genuine Expedia guest review
Love this place. Body was a little sore in the morning so the bed might have had something to do with it. Room and bathroom very clean and hot water.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Such a nice room for the price. Resort fee is a gimmick but that is every hotel in vegas now. If they are gonna charge you it should at least work. WiFi was ajoke. Bed was awesome with a great shower and super maid service!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Hotel with shuttle service to strip."
This is a comfortable hotel. The coffee shop is excellent with fair prices and the Breakfast Buffett is also excellent and they make fresh omlettes and other types of eggs.. The help at the Buffett is A1 they are very personable.Genuine Expedia guest review
Gong on the website for Gold Coast, there is a misinformation and a slight billing problem. First, under Key Facts, then under Arriving/Leaving, there is a statement. Check In Time Starts a 2 PM. According to the hotel, Check in Times Starts at 3 PM Second, thank goodness there was a great staff. Hotels. Com had a problem with the hotel. Had there was […] not a challenge, the hotel would double charge the stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel. TGIF is terrible"
I was in Vegas to work. The room was great. Wish they had a coffee shop. TGIF is kinda their coffee shop. The service at TGIF is the slowest, the absolute worst ever!Genuine Expedia guest review
We're at Gold Coast for a reunion event. Coming from lunch at Ping Pang Pong, some of us met others on the casino floor and decided to have a group picture at that instant. Two casino staff seemed irritated that we were blocking part of the casino floor and were heard mumbling unsavory words.Genuine Expedia guest review
