When we arrived we stood outside waiting for valet. We had to leave our car in the street and go look cor the valet. We waited 20 minutes for our room even though we arrived at 3. We stayed here for one night while college-shopping in the Philadelphia area. The Latham is excellently located to access many sites in Philly, and aside from being a clean, lovely, bargain hotel, the customer service is beyond expectations. The hotel was very nice and clean. Parking is in the garage around the corner and cost $38 a night - glad I was only there one night. Short walk to Reading Market for great food. Plenty of shopping and restaurants in the area.

The hotel is a lovey, pre war building in the heart of Philadelphia. Service was good, decor is non offensive tan and gray. Valet parking a little pricey.. The hotel is a bit small in terms of lobby and overall space, but it's very nice, good service. They even have a car service that will take you anywhere within a 2 mile radius free of charge. Overall it was a nice place to stay.

Overall very satisfied, and my wife and I enjoyed our stay. Valet Parking is a bit pricey, but we were able to check out and leave our car parked without getting charged an extra day. If arriving late in evening there are less expensive parking options. Minor fixes needed in bathroom as the toilet flushed by itself and ran for hours while we were away […] at a local conference. Although the front desk staff was a tad disingenuous and my room not perfectly cleaned (found previous guests' makeup and hair utensils, tissues askew and not refilled), the place was still sizable, stylish, and comfortable. I only spent one night at The Latham, probably a total 10 hours. Every minute was fantastic. The concierge was very knowledgeable and gave me great advice on where to eat/drink. I also asked the room service staff on recommendations, and he was very helpful as well. Room service was extraordinarily quick, granted, we only ordered some drinks. I had […] called before arriving at the The Latham to find out about parking, they told me about their (paid) valet parking with in-out privileges, also a parking lot further down the block for less (we ended up using metered parking on the street). It was a bit rainy when we were there and the bellman let us borrow an umbrella when we went out for dinner. I stayed here for 3 nights with my wife, who loved the central location when I was out to work. Good shopping, close to Rittenhouse Square, good food, right by a CVS...honestly, very nice. This is my type of place to stay! From the valet person to the front desk, I felt welcomed. When I went out to walk around I was offered directions and the neighborhood is fast paced, fun, and inviting. Definitely the ideal place to stay if you like to eat and shop! Room was comfortable, but the service was terrible. Staff neglected to collect breakfast room service order which was still hanging from door at checkout. Hotel is apparently working on a skeleton staff basis--had to search for receptionist and doorman. Overnight parking was extremely expensive. Not a good experience!

Our first, but not last stay at this Jewel. Beautiful Building, excellent room, outstanding Staff and Service. Close to many Resturaunts and the available free Luxury ride makes just about anywhere in Center City accessible. A True Value. Highly recommended.

The staff is exceptional. They really try to please, are attentive, friendly and helpful. The complimentary car was a plus, although we only used it once because it was often busy and cabs were not expensive. We were able to walk to great restaurants and the Convention Center. We had high expectations for our stay at the Latham. Unfortunately, our experience was a little uneven. While generally, the staff was courteous and responsive - weird quirky things kept happening. For example, a room service order was delivered with no napkins or silverware. It took two trips from a maintenance person to get a full set. Or one day […] we had no wash cloths for the shower...another day, we did. Overall, while generally happy with the hotel and service, we will probably try a different hotel next time.
