We were not in our room much the afternoon we checked in. At 3:30 we changed clothes, and my husband adjusted our thermostat so that we would be cooler when we returned to our room. We did not return to our room until 1:30 am. The room temp was the same as when we left. We thought we were doing something wrong so we attempted to adjust again. At 2:30 […] am, we realized that our unit was not working properly. It was also making a loud roar. I was quite upset with the hotel and myself for not realizing there was a problem to begin with. The customer service at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas was excellent. However we will probably not book a room there again in the Summer time, as the air conditioning was sub par. "Not a good value"
For the price we paid per night, I expected much more. The room was decent and clean, which wasn't the issue. However they do not offer free wi-fi. I cant remember the last hotel I have been in that didn't offer this with the room. To get WI-FI there is a daily rate OR you can pay for a membership (which is more than the daily rate) to get the 'free' […] WI FI. Very inconvenient to not have free WIFI in the room when this should be standard like the other hotels in the area. The pool was freezing. If the temperature of the water was enjoyable then the pool deck would have also been enjoyable. The cocktails in the lobby were very good. The staff was friendly as well.
