Hotel is well maintained, very friendly staff. We had a little trouble getting our room cool enough for our liking, but no real problems. They were also on a shuttle route to the Dallas Convention Center, that was extremely handy. The hotel is also located within walking distance of some really good places to eat, if you wanted to leave the hotel proper. We had an enjoyable stay.

1. I didn't get the room I reserved "because you used expedia." They said "that type of room wasn't available." 2. Waaaaay too expensive for an average room. 3. Difficult location to reach. Roads next to hotel blocked due to construction. 4. Valet parking only. Expensive. 5. Hotel restaurant VERY expensive. 6. 4 ppl in the room yet only 3 washcloths provided. 7. Don't use anything they provide in the room or it will cost extra.

I was so disappointed in my room the two beds look like twin beds or smaller. To tub was so small a 10 year old would be to big to fit in it. I would have never dreamed that this hotel would such poor accommodations. I could have stayed in a holiday inn express and got a better bed. Very clean room, good hotel services people and nice neighborhood. Love walking to the park.

The hotel was great! It was beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful and the checkout was easy with no added charges like some hotels like to slip in at the last minute. The valet staff was very efficient and helpful. We did not like to have to pay $25 for parking, but it was great knowing our vehicle was safe and ready for us when we wanted it. The only issue was that we thought we were getting two queen beds and arrived and were told the only thing available was two double beds. Thankfully, the beds were very good and comfortable so it turned out not to be a problem. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable and the location was great! We walked to eat and to the American Airlines center. Be prepared to pay extra for internet, water, and parking. There was a starbucks in the hotel and that was nice. We did not eat at the hotel and it was very pricey.

This was a last minute reservation because we needed to take our daughter to a nearby medical facility the next morning. We arrived late at night, tired, worn out, and with a miserable kid. The staff was very friendly and professional and the room was extremely comfortable. It was quiet and we were able to get the rest we needed. There is a surface lot just around the corner if you don't want to valet park and also metered street parking (this was completely open when we arrived at 10:30pm and is free overnight, but the spots were all filled at 7:30am when we left). We did not eat while we were there, but there were several options that looked typical for a hotel of this quality.

The hotel is quaint and posh. Some of design is modern with an eclectic flair. service was outstanding. Food and gift shop were off the charts expensive. Drinks were acceptably priced. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, because the people went out of their way to help us.

My wife and I planned a one night getaway, and purchased a room with King bed through Expedia. When we got there, the lobby was a mess and the check in person was seated at a fold out table, and curtly informed us there were only rooms with 2 double beds available.........romantic...........She said Expedia was not the way to go and they were not obligated to honor the details of the reservation. Then when we called down to get our car for dinner.....we had a very inept exchange with a rude lady in valet who told us we would just have to wait because "she never got our call". Hmmm, I wonder who I was speaking to when I called down. I will not stay here again.

The only complaint we had was that upon checkout, I could not get an itemized receipt, which would split the bill between me and my colleague, who roomed with me. This was because I booked through Expedia, I was told. I have not had the "joy" of fighting with my accountant about this yet, but the sad truth is that I don't have what my agency requires.

hotel itself is nice but room service took an hour to get a really greasy cheeseburger that was barely lukewarm and French fries that were completely cold all for a bargain price of $41. It took so long to get the first time I did not call to have it re-done- who knows what it would have had wrong with it a second time and another hour later. I will stay elsewhere next trip.

This hotel is old and dated. The elevators smelled really bad. This is not at all a Fairmont class hotel. I have stayed at many Fairmont's around the world. Worst by far.

Lovely hotel that lives up to its luxury description. We stayed on the 17th floor (concierge level) so we had the added benefit of extra service at our beck and call and all the food offered in their lounge. The lounge desserts were quite nice (missed appetizers). The breakfast was fantastic!!! Complete spread with everything you could imagine. The concierge quickly and readily bumped our checkout time an hour later. The hotel itself has a feel of quiet luxury. The rooms were nice and very spacious. The thermostat was too cold if anything. The view was magnificent. The hotel was very quiet but if it had not been, the rooms were far from soundproofed. Nor were the windows. While, I enjoyed the noise of the city below, if you want completely quiet rooms, dont stay here. The bathroom was nice. No tub. Great water pressure though! The valet parking is mandatory but very professionally handled. Felt very pampered. The location is in a pretty pleasant part of downtown. However, you still might not want to wander around by yourself after dark. And did not see too many restaurants within an easy walk. Would probably want to eat in the hotel if not driving. (we did not try out the hotel restaurant though).

I stayed at the Fairmont Dallas for three nights. The room was lovely; no complaints. The service in several departments needs some work. I had to wait for 10 minutes in my car with no sight of a valet or anyone else to greet me upon check-in. The hotel bar was tragically understaffed -- it was completely full on a Monday evening, with only one cocktail server and one bartender -- my work colleagues waited for more than 30 minutes before anyone came by to take an order, and that only happened after we complained to the bartender. And oddly in the room, the phones were misprogrammed, in that each number I tried was directed to another department -- when I pressed "valet" I was connected to housekeeping ; when I pressed "front desk" I was connected to room service. Everyone who answered the phone was nice and redirected my call to the right number, but it was all unnecessarily confusing.

The only thing we liked about this hotel is the Pyramid restaurant and the cleaning crew.

My husband and I stayed at the Fairmont for two nights. The hotel overall was a nice hotel but the mattresses are firm and not comfortable. My other complaint is that we could hear the elevator going up and down from inside our room and we could also hear the people coming in and out even though the elevator was not right next to us. We could also hear the occupants of the room next to us loud and clear. This hotel did not serve its purpose of providing a quiet comfortable stay.

We stayed her for our anniversary and honestly, couldn't have changed a single thing for the better. The staff was lovely, the room was beautiful with great views (17th floor), and was clean and posh. This is also I think the best shower experience in a hotel we've had too; it is a huge pet peeve of mine when hotels have wimpy little shower heads with little to no pressure, or the nozzle sprays everywhere but where you need it. A small thing, but makes a big difference. We would absolutely stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay. It is a great location, within walking distance to the convention center. We were there for a concert, so the central location was awesome for restaurants and shopping. Loved the hotel bar.....had great ambience and enjoyed the evening there after the concert for drinks and appetizers.

The overall rating for our stay at the Fairmont Dallas was nothing short of incredible. The hospitality shown by every staff member we encountered was remarkable, from Bell Hops to the Manager of the Pyramid Room. Our every request was met with complete satisfaction and the level of professionalism was beyond our expectations. Will highly recommend the Fairmont Dallas for anytime you visit downtown Dallas.

Just an overnight stay for an anniversary. The location was wonderful, could walk to very nice restaurants. Staff was very friendly. Overall great experience.

The hotel was within walking distance to restaurants, bars, and tourist attractions. The staff was great. The rooms were wonderful and very comfortable. When the bathtub's drain did not properly drain, I called housekeeping, and within 5 minutes they were there to handle and correct the problem. Another time we needed some extra bathroom items, and again within 5 minutes they were there. Awesome service. Awesome hotel with great service.

Excellent Hotel & Value in the Financial District; High quality service and amenities and downtown location; One note: the surrounding area in downtown Dallas in the financial district is very slow on weekends, not many restaurants or nightlife. The Uptown district may be preferable for weekend visitors.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean the linen was fresh. The room was spacious and modern. Well cared for hotel. The staff was friendly and professional, they made me feel welcomed to be at the Hotel. I was able to get a good night sleep. The Room service was very professional and the food was more than enough to eat. I had checked out of room and the Concierge was able to place luggage in room while I browse around Dallas.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! My husband and I stayed here after attending the Linkin Park concert, which was also amazing! The hotel was very close to the Gexa Energy Pavillion, which was very convenient for us. The room was nice, bed comfortable, clean and the view of the city was absolutely gorgeous! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool and bar area closed before we were able to experience them, but we were able to walk out on the pool terrace level and check it out before heading to bed. Again, gorgeous views. Highly recommended and we will definitely be staying here next time we're in Dallas!!

Our overall experience was fantastic. The only negative thing I could say was that we had a bit of an over zealous housekeeper. Not that it was a bad thing. The room was great!

Very nice to the children and the rooms are beautiful. pool is perfect for children and adults. has a little 1 foot area for the tots to splash in. very friendly when we had a early morning communication and solved the problem quickly.
