Through some kind of mistake the hotel directly charged my credit card $29 for long distance calls I never made. The front desk told me that there was a snafu in their billing system and that this happened to a lot of guests. They also said that they can't issue a refund, the only person who is allowed to do that is their manager, who was never reachable and never called back either. At my 2nd time at the front desk they told me that their manager is out sick and that it's really no big deal that they charged my credit card. The girl was really quite rude. I finally reached the manager a few days later and hopefully get a refund. Nothing wrong with the hotel itself, just pretty bad customer service.

Free WiFi is always a good thing. Breakfast wasn't very good compared to similar hotels. No elevators! I did not enjoy lugging my family's bags up and down the stairs. Wolfe Road side of the hotel is a little noisy. $0.75 Room-to-room phone charge?? That is so last century! Taking all into account, you cannot beat the price for the location and the general comfort of the hotel.

This is our second time at Wild Palms. A real value for the money. Book early and you will save even more money. The location is convenient to Silicon Valley business sites and not far from Great America Amusement Park. The breakfast is real - not just hard rolls and juice. They have scrambled eggs, sausages, fruit, cereal, juices, coffee, and tea. The rooms have always been clean and pleasant, the WiFi worked okay for us. We recommend the Wild Palms to everyone.

Cheap but not the usual Hotel Joie De Vivre. I have stayed in other locations under this brand and was very happy with the quality. This location seemed like an old ghetto hotel was purchased and remodleled by the chain. The mattresses were still cheap and the hotel seemed wrapped up in a new dressing but still had the feel of an older and less formal hotel. I now understand why it was so cheap! Even the sign looked hand painted and was difficult to read and find. Not the best option if you are staying because of the hotel brand, but if you are looking for a cheaper hotel this may be perfect for your requirements.

Quiet neighborhood, Everything is brightly painted. The pool was good. The breakfast was better than most low-cost hotels. At least five restaurants are within walking distance. Food was EXCELLENT at the Persian one. I will stay here again when in Silicon Valley area.

We usually stay at chain hotels and thought to give a try to a "boutique" hotel and we were very impressed with the quality of the hotel and it's people servicing the customers. The swimming area is located in the middle of the complex and it felt like you were in a totally different part of the world with bamboo growing naturally, cabanas to sit in and comfortable lounge chairs to relax by the pool. The pool was very nice and was heated during our stay. The only thing I will mention I was surprised about that was not a big issue was they mentioned robes in each of the rooms which we didn't have and Aveda products. They provided shampoo, soap and lotion but not in the Aveda line some off brand, which again was not an issue that would cause me not to stay at this hotel in the future. I definitely would recommend this hotel for the location, price and atmosphere of the whole hotel experience.

The decor was bright yellow and blue in keeping with the hacienda theme. The hotel was clean but the grounds could use better care. There is a heated pool but we did not use it because it rained during our stay and the weather was too cold. The hotel provided a small breakfast buffet that was enjoyed by everyone. The rooms were small and had only one comfortable chair but did have a desk and additional chair with free internet access. This will appeal to Silicon Valley visitors whether here for a brief contract stay or for business use. The closet was small but a ironing board and iron were in each room. Parking for building 5 where we stayed was very convenient. The hallways were open to the outside which is typical in tropical locations.

I booked the hotel through a fall sales, so it was very cheap compared with the other hotels in the area where I had stayed already. Given the amount of money I paid and the quality of service I received, this place is definitely a thumbs-up.
