We were actually VERY pleased with our stay. Our room was huge, clean, up-to-date and very quiet. We had room 5 and I recommend it all. Full kitchen, built in DVD to a flat screen TV, so close to the ocean and to town. An easy walk. The front desk lady could have been friendlier, but she wasn't rude. The jacuzzi tub was wonderful too.

We had two big rooms with full kitchen. It was very clean, just block away from the beach. Would go again to the same place if that was not for the noisy fridge and terrible bed.

Their is no breakfast which surprised us, as when i asked the reception said you just head to the restaurant, but she meant to pay, and we had expected the usual best western breakfast included....we did however have two great meals at the restaurant. Excellent clam chowder and a chicken Marsala. The hotel is a "market will bear" hotel so if they are busy, or the season is busy the rates per night will reflect their demand. We did negotiate a very fair nightly rate for the second evening for the view room. (First night the hotel was full and we were over the parking lot and had a party above us, but it wrapped up by 10:00pm). So get an ocean view and you love the tranquility!

This hotel is really well located in Astoria, next to the old trolley tracks, on one end of the wonderful riverwalk which leads you through historical... stops to the sea lions watching. The building overlooks a marina filled by sailing boats. Wonderful at night! It is next to a family fishing company where you can have a taste of seafood. Nearby also a fine restaurant. Staff from the Astoria Riverwalk is very warmful. You have coffee, tea, waffle, cookies, everything at hand. Loved it will stay there again, was nice that they sold post cards and had complimentary stamps to mail them. Most hotels don't even sell post card stamps. Most people buy post cards but forget to bring stamps. The breakfast was freat as well.

From the time we arrived to the time we left, this hotel was the BEST in all areas. Breakfast was great,movies you could take to your room at no cost, bicycles you could use, first come first served, laundry for the guests to use, and to look out your window and have the water and docksright there, it was GREAT! I forgot GREAT cookies.

We have stayed here before and enjoy the view of the boats from the room. Every once and a while a ocean going ship goes by on the river. The port authority owns the property and they are lax in their resposibilty regarding the adjacent restuarant.
