"Get what you pay for"
Stay was pleasant and fun. On the river over a marina, so as long as you like watching boats and fisherman it's perfect. No frills, just low key Astoria hotel. One major plus was free bikes to ride around on!!!

"Wonderful view of the Columbia River"
Had a wonderful stay and would come back. The hotel has a new owner which was meeting the guest as they were checking in. He was really nice and interested in what his guest had to say.

Hotel and staff were nice. There was a check-in problem with lost reservations and at one time there were 23 people in line to check in. No manager available to assist in sorting out the problem. Location and amenities were excellent.

"Great hotel for location and management"
We loved the hotel. The sight outside of our room was great. It was in a great area of Astoria. The boardwalk and trolley was just behind the motel. It was in the center of the town and close to stores and restaurants and sites. I would stay there again the next time I am in Astoria.

"Great location and hotel...cool amenities"
This is a great find! Will probably return for a week next year because Astoria is such a cool spot and this place is great...bicycles to use in a bike friendly town with lots to explore...movies...right on the water - the rear of the hotel is the yacht basin...friendly locally owned hotel managed with great pride and enjoyment by the owners...

"Nice View from the rooms"
Loved it will stay there again, was nice that they sold post cards and had complimentary stamps to mail them. Most hotels don't even sell post card stamps. Most people buy post cards but forget to bring stamps. The breakfast was freat as well.

"What a nice surprise!"
04/27/16 Suzy K Texas
While this may not be the most updated hotel we've ever stayed in, it certainly was very clean, comfortable and had one of the best views out of a hotel room we've ever had. Room and bathroom were clean, bed was comfortable, and the breakfast choices were good. We ate bagels with smoked salmon and cream cheese seated at a large picture window overlooking the marina. Wonderful. Caitlyn, the desk clerk was very friendly too. Would come back again.

The motel is dated, but the views are really great and the staff is super nice. They helped us find things to do and even gave us free tickets to the museums when my husband told them it was our anniversary.

"Enjoyed Our Stay - Will Definitely Return"
04/17/16 scubawakeboarder Oregon
Positives: - Incredibly welcoming and friendly staff. They worked as quickly as possible to check-in people. - Private balcony was enjoyable. I believe all rooms have the same awesome view of the marina, Columbia River, and the Astoria - Megler bridge. Warning: Can get mesmerizing watching ships pass through the Columbia river mouth. - Room with double queens felt adequately spacious to us. Beds and pillows felt relatively new and were quite comfortable. All other furniture were quite old but served their purpose. However, the tv was flat screen, and the mini-fridge and microwave were new. Room was clean, and the housekeeping staff did a great job in keeping it that way, despite our messy ways. - Really appreciated the double sinks, one across from the closet and one inside the bathroom. - Also appreciated the above average soaps which did not irritate sensitive skin. They even provide a make-up remover toilette. - Location was extremely convenient, just one block from Highway 101 and very shortly after crossing the bridge between Warrenton and Astoria. As its name indicates, the inn also is located right on the Astoria riverwalk. So, you can walk, hike, or ride your bike from the inn all the way through most of Astoria. In fact, they provide bikes free of charge. - They also provide DVDs for free. However, no Blu-Ray capability yet, at least not in our room. - We definitely will return to this inn. Not So Great: - When we first arrived, we thought we had made a grave mistake because our first impression was that of a very old motel. Turns out that it was indeed a very old inn, but the new management was working very hard to gradually get it back in shape. It is fairly obvious what items are new and which still need work. - Walls were fairly thin, so we could hear our neighbors, especially those that were not very thoughtful and would slam doors at 2:30am.

"Great hotel"

Not fancy by any means but it has everything you could hope for for the price. I think we booked it if 66$ on booking.com we had 2 queen beds and a water front view. The free breakfast is great. Standard bagels, waffles. Hard boiled eggs, yogurt and even smoked salmon. They even have free dvd rental and free bikes to ride the river walk!

This was a great hotel! It was clean and bright with super comfortable beds. It's right on the marina! Close to several good restaurants and pubs. The coast is close by and it was a great price too. I would stay again for sure.

"fun birthday getaway"
04/09/16 S H Hillsboro, OR.
Stayed here along with 3 other couples for my birthday on the last weekend of February Loved the location and the view from all of the rooms. The bed was very comfy. Woke up on our last morning to a rainy and windy storm. That was even fun. Will definitely stay here again when we are in Astoria.

"The hotel is under new management, with great results"
04/04/16 Tim K Portland, Oregon
I read the revues and they all agreed each room had great views. The Columbia river, the heroic Megler Bridge, Washington mountains and the moorage in front of the hotel. Few were happy with the cleanliness. That has now changed my room was spotless. The motel is older but in good shape.Because of the view I will stay here again.

"LOVE this place!"
03/31/16 T F Redmond, Oregon
This was our 5th or 6th stay here as we love the rooms, the location, the marina right out our balcony, the free bike use, free dvd movies, and cookies in the office and also hot cocoa and tea at all times. They have also added a much better breakfast :) On;ly problem we did have, was a disgruntled maid who did not make up our beds, but threw a blanket over them. The management made sure to make it right and even gave us a free night.

"It was just "Eh""
03/31/16 Torivio G Salem, Oregon
Tube tv with DVD player that you had to plug in and unplug for the cable to work. Figuring out which of the 3 remotes you needed was a different story. We had a large gap under our door that let in a draft that the base board heaters couldnt keep up with. Forget the continental breakfast. Its more like a frozen waffle that you heat up when you get the chance cause there is literally only one toaster for everyone to use. Once its warm enough to cut, you can stand awkwardly in the middle of the isle because theres only a handful of seats. We skipped the breakfast and headed to the local restaurants. Not all was bad, the view was great, the staff was nice, and the view was great. Also, there were free bikes to borrow. That was a neat concept, except it was raining the whole time. Next time we go we'll use the bikes... said nobody, ever. And, parking was plentiful.

"Great views"
03/30/16 Melssel Tacoma, Washington
We enjoyed one day/night on a rare sunny March day in Astoria at the Riverwalk Inn. As many reviews mentioned, the interior of the hotel could use some updating, but the rooms were clean and we enjoyed our balcony with the view of the dock and the bridge. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, even during the busy breakfast time. They definitely could use some more tables for the breakfast area, but the food options were very good and we were able to score a table after just a few minute wait. The hotel is right off of the Riverwalk. We enjoyed a crisp, but sunny walk one morning while our kids biked. We unfortunately missed the trolley as it is apparently both weather-dependent and it doesn't start until noon every day. They do have nice complimentary bikes for guests to use and cookies upon check in. They also have a big DVD library where you can borrow movies for the night (DVD player in rooms). We enjoyed our stay at the Riverwalk and the kids enjoyed the balcony. We would recommend it for a nice place to stay and close to all things in Astoria.
