"A Wonderful Respite"
So comfortable! The beds were AMAZING!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had a good time. Food was good, a little pricey. Rooms were surprisingly on the lower end. Holiday Inn Express has nicer rooms. Location was great in downtown & to College stadium & parking was very close to rooms.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Alright, but expensive for just a cookie"
Dated hotel with mediocre service. Needs an entire update, getting passed by by newer chains in area. Beds are comfortable, but overall not worth the premium price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location, Location, Location"
Outstanding location, but fairly basic room. No mini fridge, no microwave. Loud train whistles late in the evening. Staff pleasant, professional and helpful. Room was very clean. Excellent restaurant on site. The local newspaper was not delivered to all rooms ...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel has gone through some improvements, the front lobby would lead you to believe the rooms are much nicer than they are. They are very clean but paint & linens cannot disguise how dated the hotel is. You have to pay more to be on the river. I think if you are ground floor you should pay less. It's so noisy, I could hear every vacuum, door slam, […] as well as anyone upstairs. A peaceful nights rest on the river did not happen. I can say, the service is wonderful, friendly & helpful! The restaurant and bar areas are very nice: food and service was excellent. Negatives: pillows were way too soft and uncomfortable; the AC vent was noisy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Ideal location by the Clark Fork river with access to the trail. Minutes from the University campus. Shuttle service available.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"River view rooms, doesn't mean you get one."
Staff was friendly enough and I realize it was a Labor Day Holiday. But our bathroom floor had long black hair on it. We did bring it up to the motel staff, they offered to put us in another room but no guarantee it would be nicer. The Coffee station had no sugar, the mattress had what looked like someone blew their nose on under the bed skirt. ( I […] always look for bed bugs too, thank god they didn't have those) The room could not be aired out with the patio doors because there were so many cig butts laying on the ground where people had stepped outside to smoke. "Just passing through"
Lovely hotel. The view from the restaurant was very nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was the most disappointing DoubleTree I have ever stayed in. Although they did support our request for an early check-in, I was disappointed to find mildew in the grout. The bathroom simply smelled dirty. The room itself was fine.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Blast from the Past"
Not happy with what appeared to be a fixed up HoJo ar first. I felt better after checking in because it was redesigned and updated well. The rooms were large and comfortable. Hated the popcorn ceiling. I don't like motels with outside entrances like this has. But I think it is a good idea to keep older structures in good shape. It fit with the Missula […] personality. "Great location, Hotel is a 70's style"
Rooms and Hotel were great and the Staff was very helpful. If you want to see a real 70's phone station look at the pay phones next to the conference room. The food from room service was great. real close to the downtown without being in downtown.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Make sure which room you're reserving"
I would recommend this hotel. My review is actually of hotels.com. Photos of balcony rooms show the river. I reserved a king balcony room but you can be sure I would have never ponied up the extra dollars for a balcony overlooking a parking lot. The reservation options need to be more clear about this. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has, sadly, paid […] extra for a view of a car lot. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

There during renovation so not a fair evaluation.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"we were disappointed"
We WERE DISAPPOINTED. WE HAVE STAYED OFTEN,AND WERE GIVENTHE VERY MOST BAREBONES ROOM-RIGHT ON THE PATH TO THE SWIMMING POOL-LOOKING AT AN ORANGE CONSTRUCTION FENCE-FAR FROM THE DOOR-NO CART TO HAUL OUR LUGGAGE. THISFOR A FOUR NIGHT STAY. NOT WHAT WE MIGHT HAVE WANTED. THE SERVICE AT FINN AND PORTER WAS VERY POOR-SLOW AND JUST SHORT OF RUDE. HOUSEKEEPING […] STAFF LOVELY. Renovation of Hotel andl location of our room-behind an orange fence and on the path to the pool made our stay less than stellar. We have stayedthdere often and felt that we should have been given a quieter room, and maybe even an upgrade. Instead we were given the worst of the worst. Shame on you-loyalty works both waysGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This was my second time staying here and much like the first, everything was great. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful location and service"
We had a great time at the DoubleTree, walking to the street fairs on Saturday morning and jogging on the river trails, just across the bridge in the back of the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfort and Convenient"
The hotel was very comfortable and convenient to all our meetings. Will definitely stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"convenient location, but very dated"
hotel is merely adequate. Nothing special about the this double tree, except its location on the river and close to everything.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Upscale not luxury"
Too noisy, right by railroad.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"near lovely walks along the river and University"
Very comfortable and convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"It's a knock down. Old Old Old"
Old tired hotel on a river. Very expensive for a room built in the 60's.Genuine Expedia guest review
We had is great time. River was beautiful Food was good. Service was very good . Town was Picturesque . Restruants we visited. We're very good. All in all we (party of 6). Had a great time.Genuine Expedia guest review
This is an older hotel. It is a great location and had great food and great service. The weather had changed and the air conditioning wouldn't work. We were able to open the slider to cool the room down.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We loved staying here and will for sure come back again! Loved the girls at the front desk! Super cute, friendly and helpful!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A river runs through it"
A great setting on the river. Close to the university and a short walk to everything. Comfortable room and a helpful staff. A very nice restaurant on site.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Had a room on the river with a deck."
The room had a nice deck overlooking the river which I highly suggest. I am in Hilton Honors so my room was large. There were chairs on the deck. The restaurant had a good menu and also overlooked the river. The food was good but not great. This is the nicest hotel in Missoula and is a block from downtown. It is easy to walk most everywhere.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Location can't be beat"
Bathroom lights (fluorescent) hum incessantly and air conditioning/heat is very noisy. Needs updating. But it is still the best location in Missoula.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location near the University downtown area."
Great breakfast in the riverside restaurant prior to visiting the University, then quick trip to the downtown area for other great restaurants for dinner.Genuine Expedia guest review
Nice hotel. Great staff and great location right on the river and walking distance to the university - BUT - boy does it ever need to be brought into this century.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had a great time! This hotel always pleases us with it's consistently good service and nice rooms. The proximity to downtown makes it ideal.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is literally a quick walk over to the University. We stayed for a few nights to accommodate a tour of the school. We were asked to join Hilton Honors as we checked in and then instantly upgraded to a room with a view of the river, which was lovely. Staff very helpful and friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not your typical Double Tree"
Location was excellent! Restaurant was excellent!! Hotel is outdated, feels more like a Motel than a hotel. Our room was way to hot, we turned the thermostat down to 65 and the room never dropped below 78 and eventually had to open the patio door. I mentioned the heat problem to guest services the following morning and was told that we had to turn off […] the thermostat?? We asked for a late checkout so that we could get some much needed sleep and were informed that we would have to pay for a 1/2 day. They ended up giving us an extra hour past their late checkout time but it wasn't easy. It's highly unlikely that we will stay here in the future. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed in Missoula because the weather was bad. It was blizzard conditions and cold. the staff was very friendly and helpful. the food was very good at Finn and Porter. the view of the snowy river was beautiful while we ate. all in all a great value for any traveler!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice view of the Clark Fork from the room."
The women who checked me in were pleasent. I was surprised to need to turn down room service at 9am when I wanted to sleep in, but I could have put the door hanger note on the outside and I forgot to. Great hotel, great location, very clean and staff have a good attention to detail.Genuine Expedia guest review
Stayed for just one night at the Missoula location. Room was clean, smelled clean, furniture was nice, flat screen TV. My only gripe is there was just one tiny waste basket in the bathroom and no fridge.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Quick and Easy"
Thanks to Expedia we got a superb winter rate. At check in, I asked for a room with a view of the river. No problem but we did have to pay an additional $11. Check-in staff we outstanding and even gave us warm oatmeal-chocolate cookies. Room was perfect. View of the "M" and Mount Sentinel was great. All in all, two thumbs up.Genuine Expedia guest review
Friendly, helpful staff. Over sized, very clean room. Breakfast at the Finn & Porter is okay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Decent hotel close to the river."
I slept like a log. The bed was comfortale and the room was quiet. I wish they used disposable cups instead of glass as I am suspect of how they are cleaned.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly and professional. The on-site restaurant is excellent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel room was extremely cold."
The staff was great. The room was clean. The room was extremely cold.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is located near the main town and University of Montana. It overlooks the Clark Fork River which was why I selected this hotel. Unfortunately I had a view of the outdoor pool, and not the river. No microwave, no refrigerator and no breakfast as it was "not included" in the Expedia amount that I paid therefore I was a little disappointed. They […] are asking for $18 for a full breakfast if you wish to eat at their restaurant. The room was clean and spacious but I am not a fan of duvets which were too warm for me. The gift shop on the premises was delightful, full of wonderful and interesting clothing, jewelry and souvenirs. The warm cookie that Hilton boasts for people arriving was not warm. "great location, nice rooms"
Overall our stay was pleasant. Downside was that the water in the shower fluctuated to very hot whenever someone used the sink or shower in an another room. The room was not very sound proof because we could hear the footsteps, door closing in the room above. Lastly, it was very disappointing to find that the bar/restaurant closed about 9:30 on Friday […] and was closed Saturday evening as well. Brunch was nice, but a bit pricey for food that looked that looked like it had sat for some time in the chafing dish. Therefore, in retrospect the price seemed a little high. "Most Likely the best place to stay in Missoula"
Not as nice a Doubletree as we have stayed in, it is undergoing renovations, but it is still comfortable, and is a Hilton Brand.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel but needs a few things"
We are Hilton honors members, therefore we upgraded with a slight fee. Hotel did not give our complimentary water or newspaper delivery. The free breakfast was nice thought but burnt bacon isn't a good idea.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel in Missoula"
The hotel is located right by the river and it's near I-90. Checking in took less than five minutes, and there's plenty of parking. We even received free cookies! The room was clean, and the bed was nice. However, the shower head alternated between cold and hot water, which wasn't exactly relaxing. Also, the ceiling was thin, and I could hear the people […] above opening and closing the dressers loudly. The breakfast was okay. Good coffee, but the ham was cold.
