"Wonderful location and service"
We had a great time at the DoubleTree, walking to the street fairs on Saturday morning and jogging on the river trails, just across the bridge in the back of the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfort and Convenient"
The hotel was very comfortable and convenient to all our meetings. Will definitely stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Upscale not luxury"
Too noisy, right by railroad.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"near lovely walks along the river and University"
Very comfortable and convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is an older hotel. It is a great location and had great food and great service. The weather had changed and the air conditioning wouldn't work. We were able to open the slider to cool the room down.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We loved staying here and will for sure come back again! Loved the girls at the front desk! Super cute, friendly and helpful!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Had a room on the river with a deck."
The room had a nice deck overlooking the river which I highly suggest. I am in Hilton Honors so my room was large. There were chairs on the deck. The restaurant had a good menu and also overlooked the river. The food was good but not great. This is the nicest hotel in Missoula and is a block from downtown. It is easy to walk most everywhere.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Location can't be beat"
Bathroom lights (fluorescent) hum incessantly and air conditioning/heat is very noisy. Needs updating. But it is still the best location in Missoula.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location near the University downtown area."
Great breakfast in the riverside restaurant prior to visiting the University, then quick trip to the downtown area for other great restaurants for dinner.Genuine Expedia guest review
Nice hotel. Great staff and great location right on the river and walking distance to the university - BUT - boy does it ever need to be brought into this century.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had a great time! This hotel always pleases us with it's consistently good service and nice rooms. The proximity to downtown makes it ideal.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is literally a quick walk over to the University. We stayed for a few nights to accommodate a tour of the school. We were asked to join Hilton Honors as we checked in and then instantly upgraded to a room with a view of the river, which was lovely. Staff very helpful and friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not your typical Double Tree"
Location was excellent! Restaurant was excellent!! Hotel is outdated, feels more like a Motel than a hotel. Our room was way to hot, we turned the thermostat down to 65 and the room never dropped below 78 and eventually had to open the patio door. I mentioned the heat problem to guest services the following morning and was told that we had to turn off […] the thermostat?? We asked for a late checkout so that we could get some much needed sleep and were informed that we would have to pay for a 1/2 day. They ended up giving us an extra hour past their late checkout time but it wasn't easy. It's highly unlikely that we will stay here in the future. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed in Missoula because the weather was bad. It was blizzard conditions and cold. the staff was very friendly and helpful. the food was very good at Finn and Porter. the view of the snowy river was beautiful while we ate. all in all a great value for any traveler!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice view of the Clark Fork from the room."
The women who checked me in were pleasent. I was surprised to need to turn down room service at 9am when I wanted to sleep in, but I could have put the door hanger note on the outside and I forgot to. Great hotel, great location, very clean and staff have a good attention to detail.Genuine Expedia guest review
Stayed for just one night at the Missoula location. Room was clean, smelled clean, furniture was nice, flat screen TV. My only gripe is there was just one tiny waste basket in the bathroom and no fridge.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Quick and Easy"
Thanks to Expedia we got a superb winter rate. At check in, I asked for a room with a view of the river. No problem but we did have to pay an additional $11. Check-in staff we outstanding and even gave us warm oatmeal-chocolate cookies. Room was perfect. View of the "M" and Mount Sentinel was great. All in all, two thumbs up.Genuine Expedia guest review
Friendly, helpful staff. Over sized, very clean room. Breakfast at the Finn & Porter is okay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Decent hotel close to the river."
I slept like a log. The bed was comfortale and the room was quiet. I wish they used disposable cups instead of glass as I am suspect of how they are cleaned.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly and professional. The on-site restaurant is excellent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel room was extremely cold."
The staff was great. The room was clean. The room was extremely cold.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is located near the main town and University of Montana. It overlooks the Clark Fork River which was why I selected this hotel. Unfortunately I had a view of the outdoor pool, and not the river. No microwave, no refrigerator and no breakfast as it was "not included" in the Expedia amount that I paid therefore I was a little disappointed. They […] are asking for $18 for a full breakfast if you wish to eat at their restaurant. The room was clean and spacious but I am not a fan of duvets which were too warm for me. The gift shop on the premises was delightful, full of wonderful and interesting clothing, jewelry and souvenirs. The warm cookie that Hilton boasts for people arriving was not warm. "great location, nice rooms"
Overall our stay was pleasant. Downside was that the water in the shower fluctuated to very hot whenever someone used the sink or shower in an another room. The room was not very sound proof because we could hear the footsteps, door closing in the room above. Lastly, it was very disappointing to find that the bar/restaurant closed about 9:30 on Friday […] and was closed Saturday evening as well. Brunch was nice, but a bit pricey for food that looked that looked like it had sat for some time in the chafing dish. Therefore, in retrospect the price seemed a little high. "Most Likely the best place to stay in Missoula"
Not as nice a Doubletree as we have stayed in, it is undergoing renovations, but it is still comfortable, and is a Hilton Brand.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel but needs a few things"
We are Hilton honors members, therefore we upgraded with a slight fee. Hotel did not give our complimentary water or newspaper delivery. The free breakfast was nice thought but burnt bacon isn't a good idea.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel in Missoula"
The hotel is located right by the river and it's near I-90. Checking in took less than five minutes, and there's plenty of parking. We even received free cookies! The room was clean, and the bed was nice. However, the shower head alternated between cold and hot water, which wasn't exactly relaxing. Also, the ceiling was thin, and I could hear the people […] above opening and closing the dressers loudly. The breakfast was okay. Good coffee, but the ham was cold. Nice Hotel, under construction outside so that was not especially appealing to the eye. The rooms were a bit outdated but the "Bed & Pillows were exceptionalGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to campus and downtown, and the bus stop"
The front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and a beautiful view of the Clark's Fork.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

the room was very nice the beds comfy and the brunch tastyGenuine Expedia guest review
"River view rooms are excellent"
Comfortable rooms and unbeatable if you get a river view room, though would have been very disappointed with a parking lot view room at that Price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is extremely convenient to UM and downtown. Although the rate was high for a parking lot view, the room itself was large and very comfortable. The bathroom is small. This hotel is somewhat of a paradox. Its exterior looks like the roughly 1970s structure that it is. The room interior and bath have been remodeled. The lobby area and, I assume, […] other interior areas have been renovated. We found the restaurant to be quite expensive for the setting and decor. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Older hotel and could use carpeting upgrades but kept clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice to everyone. I will definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Our stay was pleasant at the Doubletree. We were in town at the end of our vacation visiting the University of Montana. The location of this hotel is amazing - we could walk to everything we wanted. Some things about the hotel we weren't impressed with - upon arrival, the "non-smoking" room smelled like it had been a smoking room at one point. It clearly […] wasn't a fresh smelling room. Also when we were getting ready to leave the next morning, the cage covering the lighting fixtures fell out of the ceiling - thankfully I had just stepped out - otherwise would have been hit by this covering! The hotel staff was very friendly. The restaurant was good - however service was very slow. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is close to the university, just across the river. We students like to float rafts down the shallow lazy river on this beautiful summer evening. The hotel is pet friendly. This would be fine if not for the loud woman calling her poddle right outside our balcony.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Needs an update badly."
This hotel is ok. It really needs to be updated. bathroom has old tile, carpet old in rooms and hallways, wall paper old. after taxes and fees paid nearly $200 a night for a queen bed, way over priced.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Right on the river."
Easy to find. Great view of the river. Good town for food.Genuine Expedia guest review
"One night stay at the Missoula Hilton Doubletree."
Great reception upon arrival and check-in. Yes warm cookies...this is an Excellent well cared for property, with a friendly professional staff, wish I could stay longer...Genuine Expedia guest review
"On the water and near the university but...."
We booked a Jr suite with a river view and for the hefty price in Missoula I expected to be blown away. The room itself was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The river view was great from our balcony but this was not enough to make up for the stale wet smell found in the room as well as the water damaged ceiling that was falling down. […] The staff was all very friendly but the "old hotel smell" of wetness and cigarettes was hard to get past. Seems like it is time for an update to the building not just the beds. "Great River view from the lounge"
Very nice hotel right on the river. The patio lounge and happy hour were a highlight. The staff were not too attentive at breakfast but very much so at diner. There is only one elevator near the lobby so that is the way to enter if your on the second floor.Close to downtown.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The hotel was nice, clean, friendly staff."
The hotel was extremely noisy. People slamming doors and hollering down the hallway at all times during the night. Was impossible to sleep. Was the most unpleasant stay we have ever had at a Doubletree Inn.Genuine Expedia guest review
"great for U of M parents"
It was lovely. Cookies are amazing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Missoula - Edgewater"
Clean room, very good hotel service, but a very small fridge, good location for us, and overall had a good stay. However the hotel needs an update/upgrade.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hilton needs an update"
Restaurant was excellent. Hotel staff were not helpful giving directions or recommending points of interest. The hotel looked rather well worn. Chairs on our balcony were rusty. The location was convenient to shopping and restaurants.Genuine Expedia guest review
"High Price, Location OK, Restaurant Poor"
Restaurant is under staffed and over-priced. The rest of our stay was OK. Value overall just was not there.Genuine Expedia guest review
"excellent beds, clean and friendly"
We enjoyed our stay in Missoula. The staff was friendly and helpful, beds and pillows were comfortable. The room was clean and had move about room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"This hotel is so nice and in a wonderful location."
Hotel is great for dinner on the deck overlooking the river at Finn & Porter and is especially nice to stay overnight.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very standard chain hotel with arrival cookies"
This was not exactly what I expected when I made the reservation. For one I thought I was getting a river-facing room which instead I ended up with a pool-facing room. I had bought the breakfast option but disappointed to find out what that got me was a $15 breakfast voucher in the restaurant (so I had to leave a tip which I was not anticipating and […] one person in our group didn't even have enough to cover his coffee and breakfast). It was a little farther from the main downtown area than I expected ( a little too far to walk if you are in a hurry or limited on time to explore). Nice town, very much a hippie college town. The bed was a little too stiff and the room was a little stuffy. Free parking was a bonus and for the most part everything was really clean. Decent bathroom products. "Love the rivier walk.right in front of the hotel."
We stayed 1 night when we arrived in Missoula and then 2 nights at the end of the vacation before flying home. Excellent van shuttle to the airport, loved the river walk right outside our door and walked into town several times. Ate twice in the Finn and Porter restaurant in the restaurant and that was excellent. Would have liked a free breakfast with […] stay like all the other hotels we stayed at during our trip.
