Overall the hotel is great. staff was excellent, the Lobby is beautifully set up, While decor in our room was a tad dated, it was very well kept up and has comfortable bed and pillows. Nice to have frig and microwave in room.The landscaping is beautiful and pleasantly moderated

1. Upon entering our room I immediately noticed that there was no refrigerator or microwave as was stated on my reservation. Had to call front desk to get them. They were quite timely in getting them delivered. Television was analog. 2. When we went to use the pool it was not available for swimming due to a crew cleaining it for bottom resurfacing, […] although the sign posted on the gate stated the pool repairs were to be completed May and our stay was for May 29 -31. 3. Then the work crew was very loud and used foul profane lanquage while we tried to relax and read while they were dismantling some tents on the pool deck. 4. When we went to have breakfast we were informed that our room rate did not include the complimentary breakfast. Something that was not disclosed prior to the purchase of the room on-line or at check-in. 5. When we went ot the restaurant for dinner on Thursday the restaurant was dark and there was no staff in the restaurant. We waited for 15 minutes for a hostess or waitress and no one came. When we went to the front deask to ask if the restaurant was open they were clueless. We have stayed at many Clarion hotels and although this one appears to have been recently taken over by Clarion, you have a long way yo go to bring it up to the standards of the other facilities we have stayed at in the past. Generally an okay place for the price we were paying. The promised refrigerator and microwave were not in our room, but we didn't need them. We were also under the impression that breakfast was included, and indeed, they gave us vouchers three days in a row, then told us that it was not included. So that was a bit strange. The main area with rooms surrounding […] an expansive lawn and pool area is pleasant. The rooms were comfortable and clean though they forgot to clean our room one day and had to be reminded twice. The pool is big but needs some maintenance which is happening this month (June 2013) The fitness room equipment is very basic and we had a hard time getting into it because the lock wasn't working. The location of the hotel is a little hard to access as one has to go through the Arden Mall parking lot. Read more

Shower in bathroom was completely not functional - no way could it work with the plumbing fixture. Was moved to another room where the toilet lid was in the bedroom. Restaurant was advertised but you could only eat in the bar with a limited menu. Carpet was stained. Bed extremely uncomfortable. Reserved a king room and was given a double!

Has multiple buildings and I was placed in an older one. Clean with good linens and shower, but room was old - a gap showed light around the exterier door. This hotel was horrible! As soon as we got there the older guy at the front desk was standoffish and rude. We got to the room the carpet and shower was filthy!!! The remote to the tv didn't work. We called for batteries which they replaced with the wrong size and when right size still didn't work. They advertise a ice machine but didn't have one. AC in room needs improvement. Mine it's self did not work. It kept stopping due to water overflow. Tv was not working, all ice machines did not work, keys to my room did not work, had about 8 keys and only one worked. This hotel has a lot of potential, just needs much maintenance repair

Hotel room was OK, not quite the level of cleanliness I'm use to for a Clarion hotel. Shower handle was EXTREMELY tight to pull on, unknown to work, NOT NOTIFIED by front desk when checked in. When clerk tried it she had to pull very very hard to get to turn on, NOT what was expected from me. Manager never called me back like clerk said he would.

Upon check in I had to wait without greeting while the clerk and night shift manager wrapped up a conversation. So, I thought, but the older night shift manager did not know how to use the computer and frequently interrupted my check-in. No excuse me, just barking questions to the clerk, delayed my check in by another 10 minutes. Get a room and I guess […] because it's booked through 3rd party, sent me to the furthest corner room and when I opened the door, what a stench...like it hadn't been aired out for quite some time. Also, light did not turn on and door lock was not aligned. Switched rooms and the stench is not as bad but is still around. And I'm a smoker...so you know it has to have some serious aroma for me to complain. Furniture old, popcorn ceilings, box TV, brown carpets, green walls, ugliness all around. I would spend the extra $40 - 60 else where. But, if you're on a real tight budget, and have limited options, I guess it'll do. As for me, can't wait till check-out. Read more

Good price but is two-star vs. a three-star due to outdated facilities and location near a major highway. As with most hotels of this sort, the lobby looks top-class but the rooms look like budget specials. Management needs to seriously look into building new facilities and demo-ing the present ones.

Strange location, but rooms were good size, comfortable enough bed, major downfall for us was poor plumbing, low water pressure in shower, water got all over floor, not enough towels, and towels smelled strongly of cleaner.... and no bathtub...

Thin walls and connecting Door, you could hear your neighbors like they spoke to you. Thin ceilings you could hear every move the people above made. The bed hung through and I woke up with a sore back and when the heater/AC kicked on it was so loud that it woke me up. Hard to find and you hear the freeway, trains and airplanes overhead.

1.Heavy noise volume! Lots of partying going on late into the night. We stayed two nights. First night was quiet but the Saturday night was very noisy. 2.When we first got there, our room key didn't work. So, late at night my husband had to run all the way back to the lobby to get it straightened out. We were given keys to the room next door. Nice and […] clean, comfy beds. But one of the lamps didn't work, and the toilet didn't work well. Both of those issues were fixed promptly the next day, but (because of the room change?) our room was never cleaned the next day. .The staff was more than conciliatory, and promptly brought us more towels, cups, etc But it was too late when we discovered that the room had not been tended, and no one available to do it. The best part about our stay was the breakfast. We stayed 4 nights and the sheets were never changed. Had to call to get coffee for the in-room coffee maker. Staff was friendly enough. The sprinkler system sprayed all over the cars parked closed to the planters, leaving water spots. The hotel overall is old and needs updating.

This is the worst Red Lion I've ever stayed at. The lobby is not bad at all, but once you get to your room, OMG! It was really old and smelled for stale smoke; the carpet was stained all over the place, there was someone elses hair in the bathroom and on my bed.
