My stay was comfortable and the service was excellent. I walk to a local restaurant, The Sea Grill. The food there was fanaminal.

I loved the ambiance of the wonderful old Eureka Inn -- it has so much "personality" compared to the chain hotels! The lounge/bar and lobby are gorgeous. The breakfast could have been a bit more robust.

The hotel was better than I expected, being in a town with such... character as Eureka. The room smelled how I imagine the 70s smelled, that could be good or bad it's up to you. The toilet was excellent, lower than usual allowing for good body mechanics. Though it might pose a problem for the elderly or people with mobility issues. "Not worth the money"
Hotel desk staff disorganized, at check-in they spent more time on the telephone dealing with staff issues than waiting on people checking in, apparently they didn't know how to use the "hold" button. "Was a good choice for an overnight stop"
Had some other choices in Eureka but were more expensive. I think we got good value for our stay. Luggage carts were always available. I liked that there were two vanities, both in and outside the bath. Fridge comes with room. TV was huge/new, comes with the good stations. The Hot Tub was teeny (3 people max) and was really well used. Pool was nice. […] This is right across from the Chalet House of Omelets which we didn't get to try but comes highly rated on other sites. Staff were friendly rooms clean. This location could use an upgrade though. "Stay away from the pool !"
We stayed on the 3rd floor, unfortunately we were above the pool. Pool hours were posted to 10:00PM but they allow people to swim until 11:00PM. Our first night a family with kids were in the pool and the kids screamed the whole time. I call the front desk at 10:45PM and asked if they could do something and the answer was "the pool is open to 11:00PM". "Room off balance, Bathroom door would not close."

"affordable, close to attractions"
recently stayed here with my family for our vacaton to the redwood forest. Room was ok, housekeeping didn't vacuum the whole week we were there. The first thing I always check is the bedding, clean and no bed bugs. My only petty complaint(s) was the stuffiness of the room. There wasn't fresh air flowing through the room and the loudness of the ac/heat vent...which made the room slightly more stuffy. I brought my pet with me and was assigned a room on the 3rd floor. I couldn't open the window for fresh air because the window had no screen on it and it was ground […] level making it unsafe for my dog so I had to keep my window closed.
