Was sorely disappointed in the fact that the restaurant & bar were falsely advertised! Said there was a full restaurant & bar with pool table.. Not true! This hotel sits right on The main strip in Eureka. Seems truckers like to park behind it rest. Room are nice, a little out dated. They charge for a breakfast which other hotels have complimentary. Of suggest to go out for food, a much better option.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"close to state parks and beaches"
The restaurant has horrible service and is in the bar. This is not pleasing for families! Also, the order was not right and we had to ask several times for the right order. "Red Lion Rookie"
Never had stayed at a Red Lion. Front desk service was great and very nice. The gym was awesome! Rooms were clean but pretty dated and had an "old" smell but not terrible. "Not so great room in refurbished old hotel"
This old hotel is supposed to be all nonsmoking, but the minute you open the door to the room, you can smell the old smoke of years ago: I know this is hard to eliminate, but paired with the ugly view of the roof (and the only natural light we could get in the room was to open the curtains to this), that there was only ONE comfortable chair in the room, […] and that our room was not even vacuumed from the first day to the second...hmm. We needed a reasonable priced hotel for the nice while visiting friends for the weekend. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable and we loved that our sweet lab could join us. Pros: VERY friendly staff, comfortable bed and pillows, good hot water and pressure, shower head selections were nice, tea (reg and decaf) with in-room amenities, microwave and mini-fridge worked well, good room climate control, quiet (both from outside the hotel and inside). Location is also good - close enough to walk to just about everything I wanted […] to get to (which was good after a few beers at the brewery!). Cons: The only gripe I have is that the desk chair was uncomfortable, rickety and too short - but I used a throw pillow to sit on and it was OK. This was my first time back in about 4 years, and it seemed better than my previous visits, and I will definitely stay there again on my next trip to the area.
