BALMORAL - Paris

You could not ask for a more perfectly positioned hotel. No more than 100 steps to the metro and perhaps twice that many to the L'Arc de Triomphe. I am generally a cab person, but the metro in Paris is very convenient, and easy to understand, not to mention being a fraction of the cost of cabs. Furthermore, the Air France bus to all of the airports […] (15€ for adults and about 7€ for kids one way) leaves on the half hour from a stop less than 200 feet from the hotel. Staff is exceptionally helpful and gracious (and multi-lingual), and setting feels likes an old European hotel. Our 2 twin bed room was small but comfortable (particularly appreciated the pants press), and bath was well-appointed. Only downside was the person playing handball, or championship ping pong, of whatever it was, against the walls of the courtyard below our room from 4am to 6am. Then again, I could have been less lazy, and closed our windows in order to mitigate the problem. Very reasonably priced for service and location. Would definitely stay there again. Read more

We booked the last minute as we needed a place in Paris for one night after our stay in Disney. We had stayed at a nearby hotel earlier in the week. Balmoral was by far a better stay and was less expensive. The room was large and had a fantastic modern oversized bathroom. The room was bright and spacious thanks to the configuration. The price was right, the room was more spacious than other Parisien hotel rooms. the bathroom had been updated, but sadly no shower, just a nozzle to spray on while in the tub, which was rather large. Overall, the room was clean and very quiet (we had a room facing the inner courtyard). the location was excellent within a couple of blocks of the Arc […] d'triumph and metros. In the morning, we were right around the corner from the Air France Les Cars which took us straight out to the airport. I'd stay here again. BTW, we didn't have their breakfast which was an extra cost. Instead, we walked around the cornrer for our petit dejunier and coffee. And the elevator in the hotel can only hold one person with her luggage. Very small, but I guess it beats walking up three flights with a suitcase. Read more

I found some of the hotel staff in France to be a bit unhelpful, however all the staff I dealt with at Balmoral were fantastic and eager to help. It is also near the Charles de Gaul Etoile metro station. This metro station has lines that go to the Eiffel Tower, Louvre and the airport.

The downsides were the cold floor in the lavatory, and low pressure in the shower. The service was good, and the staff helpful. This is a really very small hotel which is probably < 20sqm incl. the bathroom. The decor at the lobby looks very renaissance, but the decor of the room we took was really old. There were 2 doors to the room, and only one has a keyhole. The carpet was old and we were able to hear the ceiling creeking whenever someone walked in the room above ours. The […] table lamp wasn't working properly as well. The corridor leading to the rooms were dark. It seems like they were saving electricity as they only switch it on when new guests arrived. However, this hotel is really close to champs elysees and arc de triomph. There is a noticeable absences of hallway lighting at night, which made my wife uneasy. Good points - the staff were, without exception, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent and good value compared with other French hotels. The location of the hotel just around the corner from the Arc de Triomphe and the Charles de Gaulle Etoile Metro was ideal as it was easy to get to many of the main attractions from there. The rooms didn't have tea/coffee facilities, which would have been nice but you could have room service. Great little hotel situated no more than 5 minutes walk from Etoile metro. As is the case in most older hotels in Paris the room a little on the small side but more than adequate for our 3 day stay. Management were extremely polite and helpful. The buffet breakfast at 11 euros was just what we wanted. We would return to this hotel

年末からスーペリアに２泊しましたが思ったより部屋が広く、初めてのプチホテルでしたが内装がパリらしくかわいかったです。　チェックインしてすぐ、ドアのカギが固く開けれなかったのでフロントまで呼びに行ったのですが、親切に対応していただきました。　部屋の広さにしてはクローゼットが大きめで助かりました。　朝食は、お客さんもスタッフも誰1人いなくて心配になりましたが、一人一人トレーで出てきて、ハム・チーズは自分で取りに行く感じでした。パンは言えばおかわりができるし12ユーロなら満足な内容でした。　泊まるフロアはじめ階段はいつもとても暗く、すこし怖い印象でしたが、シャンゼリゼ通りに出るのも苦になるない距離なので、立地的にもまた泊まりたいホテルの１つです。

少し小道に入りますが、メトロの駅にも、ＣＤＧのシャトルバスの駅にも近く便利です。向かいに夜遅くまでやっている小売店があって、ちょっとした買い物（水など）にも不自由しませんでした。ホテルの中は小奇麗で部屋も概ね快適です。特にバスルームが綺麗なのと、毎日タオルを換えてもらえるのは高得点です。唯一今回残念だったのは、部屋のチェーンが壊れてて（壊れてても、一応外からはドアは開けられないオートロックでした）、それの修理に中一日かかったこと。まぁ、こののんびり加減はお国柄でしょうか。

水周りを新しくしたばかりだったのか、広くてとてもきれい！快適でした。部屋は古いままのようで歩くたびにきしんだり、隣の部屋の声も聞こえた。ホテルのロビーや、13ユーロほどで食べれる朝食も雰囲気良く、美味しくいただけた。ホテルの斜め向側には小さなお店があって簡単な飲み物なんかはそこで買えた。

地下鉄のシャルルドゴールエトワール駅の５番出口からとても近く便利でした。部屋の備品の取替えや掃除は毎日してくれたので毎日良い気分で過ごすことができました。ワインを買ってきたあとでグラスや栓抜きが無いことに気づいて、フロントに借りに行ったら丁寧に対応してもらい、どちらもすぐに貸してもらえました。２階に泊まっていたのですが、３階で人が動くとギシギシと音が聞こえてくる点は気になりました。でもとても良いホテルだと思います。

１月に続き、２度目の利用でした。前回とてもスタッフ対応も良く、お部屋も可愛く広くツインベットでバスタブもありで気に入り、今回も利用しました。今回はWベットで部屋も若干狭く、スーツケースを広げるのに少し苦労しました。あと、ミニバーが最初故障で、暑い季節なので残念でした。でも、フロントに伝え、ずぐ対応はしてくれたので良かったです。移動にとても便利なのでまた利用したいです。

こちらの都合で部屋を５階から１階に変えて頂きましたが、気持ち良く応じて下さり助かりました。大変立地が良く、凱旋門、シャンゼリゼ通りは、２分かかりません。CDG空港との連絡バスの停留所へも徒歩１分と大変近いです。メトロかRERを使えば、主要な観光地には、最短で到着します。建物は多少古いですが、清潔で良く整備されており、私としては気持ちよくすごせました。古いものの良さを理解できない方は、気になるかもしれませんが、好き嫌いの問題だと思います。

凱旋門、地下鉄、空港へのバス停が近くにあるなど立地条件がよかった。スタッフの対応は素晴らしく、快適に過ごせた。ただ、トイレのドアノブがはずれそうだったり、床の軋みが激しいのが気になった。

L'hôtel Balmoral est un petit hôtel à quelques mètres de l'entrée de métro Etoile et de l arc de Triomphe. ll est néanmoins situé dans une petit rue calme. Le personnel est extrêmement prévenant et il y règne une ambiance familiale. A noter le petit déjeuner délicieux pour un prix modeste (11 EUR).

Cet hotel offre cependant un prix juste. La chambre était surprenant large (pour 3 personnes) et la salle de bains était grande et visiblement rénouvelée […] relativement recemment. 凱旋門、メトロ１号線、シャンぜりーぜ通りも近い 大変便利の良い場所です。毎晩美しい凱旋門を背景に写真を撮りました。大通りから１本入った場所です。ホテルの方は皆さん親切でした。 ７月に３人で2泊しました。同じ大きさのベッドのツインに２人と１人が寝ました。お部屋のインテリアは良くクラシックで部屋は狭めです。エレベーター、冷蔵庫もあります。洗面所は新しく現代的で広めです。どちらも清潔です。部屋が狭いので大きなトランクを開けるとクローゼットや洗面所のドアが開けられないので、部屋の隅に広げました。近くにコインランドリーやホテル斜め前には飲み物、フルーツ、お菓子などを販売している小さなお店あり。部屋は狭いですが、清潔でパリらしいホテルで便利な場所なのでお勧めです。
