I was very impressed with the staff at this particular hotel! Our room was better than expected; it's close to everything you want or need to see in Seattle, and the Valet parking worked out great for us! The staff even brought the seafood we had to delivered to hotel from Pikes Place directly to our room... It made our trip stress free!

The Hotel has a great location with easy walking to Pike Place Market and a longer, but doable, walk to Qwest Field and Safeco Park. Parking is convenient (albeit not cheap) and the valet area leads one right into the lobby. The lobby is quaint and nothing elaborate, but allows for quick business at the counter. You can tell that space is limited because of their downtown location but they do make the most of it. There is plenty of shopping and dining options in the area with a Sushi restaurant just past the lobby. It also doubles as a breakfast joint in the morning. It is small, but a good atmosphere, good food, and a friendly staff. The rooms are beautifully decorated but from what I could tell not much in the way of views. They are also quite small, so I would only suggest for business travelers, couples, or anyone that wants to leave the kids at home. My room was very clean and the halls were always quiet. They even left a complimentary paper outside my door, which was a nice touch. Street noise was very minimal. My only disappointment was the size of the room and, as a result, the lack of additional furniture. I was pleased with every other aspect of my stay. If you don't need the square footage and want an effecient, cut to the chase type of hotel, I would highly recommend this place. If you're one that craves the pampering, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

The Paramount in Seattle was a huge surprise. For less than half the cost of others in the area we had a very large, immaculate room, with all the amenities of a 4 star hotel. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, the furnishings were new and we could walk to everything downtown in less than 10 minutes - Pikes Market, Nordstroms and all the other great shopping, Seattle Art Museum to mention a few. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is conveniently located to shop around and to take public transporations. Underground bus station is one block from the hotel, and Pike market and the areas are walking distance. Valet parking only and it's expensive. Also, internet access is not free. Overall, the hotel provides good value. However, I did not like some of the people at the front desk. They are not friendly and almost rude as if they do not want to treat us with full respect as we did not pay full price for the stay.

I trusted the brand having stayed at the Paramount's sister property in Portland. The hotel is a lot closer to things than the location map suggests (maps seem to make things seem more spread out). The good sized rooms had the most comfortable beds of my two week travels. The decor was subdued, not flashy, classy and contemporary, with earth tones, wood, stone, and displayed artifacts. Service was cordial and quick, though not too energetic to please, but not unfriendly.

I have stayed at the Paramount several times since they renovated it and it is a great deal for the money. With the new light rail station 2 blocks away the trip to the airport is a breeze. The rooms are average size, stylish, clean, etc. Views from the rooms aren't good and the fitness room is small and the equipment is cheap - at least there's a flat screen. Also, I had breakfast room service three days in a row and it was sub-par. The restaurant is a Sushi restaurant - the Sushi is very good - but the breakfast needs a lot of work. Overall, stay here for great location, good room, good price - just eat out and go jogging around the city instead of the fitness room.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for three days beginning 8/4/09. We thought the hotel was in a great location, between Pine and Pike, and very close to all the shops, bars, and about a thousand coffee places. We were able to walk from the hotel to Pike's Market comfortably. The employees at the hotel were all very friendly and provided very great tips on getting around the city, things to do, places to eat. The lobby was nothing to write home about, not ugly, but not fancy either. The rooms were very nice and very clean. The beds were very comfortable
