The iconic Space Needle is at Seattle Center, a two-minute monorail ride from downtown. Both train and tower were built for the 1962 World’s Fair. The Seattle Center offers opera, ballet, and theater, as well as the Key Arena, the Pacific Science Center, and Experience Music Project. We took our first trip to downtown Seattle and were a little worried we would end up in a bad neighborhood, noisy hotel, etc. We were so surprised when we got to our hotel all the way through the end of the stay. The hotel is in a quieter spot about a block of of a busier road. We had an interior facing room on the fifth floor, 503 to be exact and was able to sleep with the window open each night for 5 nights. the Room was very clean, staff was very courteous. They helped with everything we needed! We were blocks from the space needle, great places to eat and actually ended up walking everywhere. For our first trip we were so happy. We will actually look to stay here again when we return to Seattle.

Was dissapointed that a room was not available when we arrived at 1.15 p.m. We had to wait 20 minutes for a room to be cleaned. Had a problem with the occupants directly above our room as we heard heavy foot steps until the early hours of the morning. They also had a creaky noisy bed. Informed the receptionist the following morning and it was passed on as not important.

The staff was extremely friendly, and professional..... helpful with a faulty hairdryer, generous with an extra banana when I missed breakfast, and courteous in getting us a cab even chasing for one out of the parking lot (we were late for our grandaughter's wedding at the zoo). As a professional hotel consultant I give the Hotel high praise indeed. They even varied the menu on the breakfast the second morning. One suggestion: change the apple variety..red delicious look good but taste like........nothing....granny smiths were okay for my husbands taste.....we'll certainly consider this hotel first when we make our return trips to Seattle. (we have a house in Leavenworth so we spend considerable time in Seattle).

We stayed here over St. Paddy's Day weekend and had a good time. Nice location in a good area. Breakfast was ok but the fresh baked cookies around 3pm were awesome. Beds and linen were comfy. You do have to pay for parking in their garage $13 per day not too bad. Only complaint is that they do not have roll away beds. They said its a fire safety concern.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel to see the fireworks at the Space Needle for New Year's Eve. It was easy to get to from I-5 and had a parking garage which was a plus. The front desk personnel were very nice and accomodating and even call us in our room to check to see if everything was ok with our room. We also liked that there was a very short walk to the Space Needle and a grocery store very close to the hotel. The bed and sheets were plush and soft but the only thing that we did not like was that the towels were a little scratchy. The continental breakfast was also good. All in all I would definantly recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel is noisy, the housekeeping staff is undisciplined and the breakfasts are awful. I mean, would you want the housekeeper's cart parked outside your door first thing in the morning, while the staff yap away? Would you like to be woken up by the housekeeping staff trying to enter your room at 7.55 a.m.? And then get for your 'hot' breakfast: - cold scrambled egg that apparently is made of egg powder - cold, greasy sausage slices - cold omelette rounds with cold bacon rounds? This is not what I expect from a Hampton Inn hotel.

The hotel is in a handy location if you have something to do at Seattle Center. The room was clean, the staff was friendly. Parking was $12 + tax and was lucky to find a place to park my SUV, as the parking for them was full of small foreign cars. This is Seattle folks, not Waikiki. On second thought, over night parking last fall in Waikiki was $10. The Continental breakfast was outstanding. Room had a safe, the water glasses were plastic (hate that, makes me feel like I'm staying at McDonald's)

There was a small fire during the middle of the night of our stay. The alarms went off & we all evacuated. The whole ordeal was handled very poorly by management. We were supposed to get a refund on the charge for the two rooms we had. But I have not received notification from hotels.com that the charges were reversed yet.

For grandma, traveling with daughter and 13-yr. old grandson, the space provided in the suite was just what we needed. Amenities provided were appreciated, i.e.,ironing board... also the small balconey was a good spot for the boy to escape to play his guitar. The service was efficient and the breakfast was substantial. We especially enjoyed the location where we could walk to the Seattle Center and then monorail to downtown.
