There were 2 things that struck me but were of small consequence. Parking. There are not many choices. On the street or in the structure (there is a fee, should be included with the price of the room). The other thing is that they have gone to a single cup coffee machine in the room. Miss the little pot as it made better coffee. Great breakfast buffet!!!

I love fine dining and never complain about the price as long as the experience coincides with the price. In these tough economic times, the cheapest hotels can give you coffee, juice and a roll included;the hotel restaurant wanted $10.00; $7.50 for a bowl of oatmeal....a bit excessive for Lincoln...

I have stayed at The Cornhusker many times in the last 3 years. My daughter is a student at UNL and I go to see her and always stay there. I usually go alone and I feel VERY safe there. I feel like I'm at home there I have stayed so often. They have always helped me with any needs I have needed.

Reviewed by Kevin of Denver on Apr 7, 2009
The room was nice and clean. The window was really interesting and added character to the room. The bed was extremely comfortable. They had the soft or firm pillows available. The restaurant was nice. The food was very good. I was very disappointed in the pool area. It looked extremely unkept. The bathroom floor had large puddles of water. The tile looked rusted. There was water on the floor all over. The lighting was fairly dim, making the room look unwelcoming.

We found that the hotel was very nice. The lobby and staircase are beautiful and the room was clean and decorated nicely. Room service was prompt and helpful, Wireless access was great and the TV channel selection was great. Since we were sick and couldn't leave the room, it made a nice place to stay and get well. The bed was comfy and the bed linens were clean and fresh. We also got a pretty good rate from hotels.com, so that made it better. :o)

When I called the hotel directly the person I spoke to did not know either. Otherwise, it was a nice place to stay.

The room was clean and well maintained, though a bit small for the price (location is probably much of the cost). Parking is $6 per day in the ramp. We tried to use the hotel shuttle which was supposed to show up in "5 or 10 minutes." After 15 or 20 minutes we walked instead. The pool needed to be unlocked to be used, and we had to wait quite awhile for that to get done. The wireless Internet was very slow at times.
