"Comfortable stay on a busy weekend."
The Warwick Melrose is so easy to access from interstates converging in downtown Dallas: follow the Oak Lawn exit to a lovely neighborhood. Hotel parking was quite convenient and run efficiently. Despite two weddings and many happy clients, we rested well in a comfortable and elegant room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"NIce older hotel."
Stayed on a Sunday evening. Restaurant, which was reported to be good by friends and family, was closed. Lobby area looked old. Room was good. Only negative comment on the room is wash cloths are paper thin and should be replaced. Hotel staff was very friendly and a great help.Genuine Expedia guest review
"It was OK"
The hotel was OK, it was a bit stuffy. The view was right up oak lawn, easy to get to Eatzis and the shower was hot. But other than that, it was nothing special.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great area, great staff, very helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"WIFI is the problem!"
Nice place BUT It's been a long time since any 3+ star's hotel charged me for WIFI. Here they charged $9. for basic (narrow) which was not enough to open my attachments, etc. You could upgrade to $17./day. The lobby area was the only free WIFI but it's only basic level. Um not good. I am sorry, but we live in a digital world and its old school for […] hotels to charge for a basic amenities such as WIFI. I will have to stay at a place that knows it's as fundamental as shampoo for traveler's. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
From the time I was greeted until the time I left I was treated wonderfully!!! Great staff!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
My only complaint is that the mini fridge is stocked as liquor cabinet. Can't put own items in there for overnight useGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I love staying in older historical hotels and I was not disappointed. The lobby is beautiful and our room was very nice and the bathroom was spacious. The lounge, The Library, is one of my favorite hotel bars with the added bonus of live piano music. The bar appears to be a very popular destination. I will return when visiting Dallas. "Great Staff, great location, great hotel."
This hotel is a must stay in Dallas. Located in the heart of Uptown and the staff is courteous and helpful. The Library bar is wonderful with live musician every nite and the hotel room were large, clean and very comfortable. It truly is a gem.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Charge for mini bar"
I didn't even know the mini bar existed and I was charged 137.00. My room adjoined the bridal room which had no lock. I came back from having dinner and the door was wide open. Thankfully nothing was missing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great stuff very comfortable and clean rooms ."
It was a very pleasant stay. Great restaurant and room service menu. The lobby bar has some famous jazz performers playing in a weekend.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Decent - but needs updating"
It's clear that they freshened up the lobby and common areas, but the room I had looked exactly the same as it did 15 years ago when I first came here. The room looks very dated and tired, even the hallways smell musty. Good service, nice common areas, and conveniently located.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great ambience, old world classic service, music and fun in The Library unique and wonderful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the hotel has an active bar and a generous size lounge and is planning on expansion in the backGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Historic building, not your cookie-cutter chain"
Very nice place, with very good service and friendly staff. And excellent Tex-Mex available right across the street. Not inexpensive, however, and there's extra charges for wifi and parking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel bed was very comfortable and room seemed very clean the area around the hotel is not bad either good stay for decent priceGenuine Expedia guest review
Grand hotel. Lobby abnormally cold/windy all the time!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Service and beautiful property"
I have stayed at the Melrose many times over the years. It always meets or exceeds my expectations. The rooms are nice, beds are very comfortable and the staff at every level is amazing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"It had a Texas feel. We were two woman sharing."
it was roomy and a wonderful location. A shuttle was provided to take us to the 6th floor museum and other places.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice Night at Melrose"
Love the charm of Hotel and the cozy Library Bar with the Piano Player. Room was very spacious and well appointed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Had to stay there to take my exam."
So the only thing that you are not going to pay for is breathing the air. Parking is 25$ a night. It looks old but clean. Breakfast is mediocre at best, both menu and continental breakfast (not included in the stay price). I had to stay there to take an exam, otherwise I would not stay there.Genuine Expedia guest review
The make up mirror was loose. The maid had unplugged the cable for the TV so we thought it wasn't working. Very quiet hotel. Nice and clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Reservation and confirmation thru Expedia- No room"
Booked a room thru Expedia. Arrived at hotel and informed that they were overbooked. They moved me to The Magnolia downtown. This was a definate downgrade from what I paid for and much further from my evening venue. I called to complain that they charged my card $286 for a room and put me in a $100 room downtown. Finally, the accounting office credited […] me $120 for my trouble. The biggest problem is the movement to a sub-par hotel. I will never stay at The Melrose again. "Always a great hotel"
Only issue with this hotel is it is by a fire station, so the sirens can wake you up at night. Otherwise, I always enjoy staying here.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice restored grand hotel"
An repression should not cort $5. This is price gouging. I have migraine headaches and usually need four yo knock it out. This would have Carr me $19. This is ridiculous.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice rooms and convenient location"
Staff was very pleasant. Shuttle will take you anywhere within a few miles of the hotel. Great restaurants in that distance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Valet was a joke"
Valet rep came to our room 15 minutes after check in asking for keys ( which were left in ignition) after about an other 20 minutes of looking the ask us to check again in our room. "Not near what I was expecting"
It was just alright I guess but definitely not worth the money. I have stayed in way nicer hotels for the same price. The furniture and window treatments were pretty but the duvet was flat and the bed was so uncomfortable. The bathroom was grungy! And the only marble in the "marble bathroom" was the little two inch threshold strip. We won't be staying […] here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was nice, and location was great, but the bathroom needs a lot of work. Shower is tiny and there is no counter space. Also, I reserved a king bed, but I was given 2 queens. By the time I checked in I was too tired to worry abot it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
just ok. A.C. stopped working early the morning we were leaving. They couldn't fix it before we were leaving so the room became uncomfortable. Tuab did not drain and there were stains in the tub. Just not real great The lounge (called The Library) was excellent. Staff was very pleasant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My wife and I have enjoyed this hotel for a few years now, but this last stay was disappointing. The amenities and the room are always top notch, and usually so are the personnel. From the lady at the front desk, to the driver, and finally the bartender, all seemed to be having a rough day. Although they went through the motions, it was obvious that […] they would have rather been someplace else (even after the generous gratuities). At one point the lady at the front desk argued with me about the transportation. The valet was superb! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
There was construction with lots of loud noises. We had to change rooms. There is also no pool. Not worth the money compared to other hotels in the area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Genteel old hotel with modern touches"
A last-minute special from Expedia presented the chance for a stay in the venerable Warwick Melrose Hotel in one of their ample suites. In addition to the large king bedroom which had a huge living space of its own, there was the immense living/dining room with wet bar which evoked gracious apartment living of a bygone age. The rooms were recently redecorated […] in classic hotel style with appropriate amenities. Television reception was poor and channels limited. There was some delay both at check-in and check-out, although service was courteous. The hotel restaurant seemed to pursue a trendier theme than the hotel at large which didn't seem quite the right fit. The very nice bar with interesting specials appeared to be frequented by neighborhood regulars. A very nice place to stay, but be aware the parking ($24 per day) and wi-fi are extra. "Would go again!"
My husband and I really enjoyed this hotel! My only complaint was the noise from replacing windows which is scheduled to be complete by the end of August 2013. It is walking distance to a great Latin bakery called Zaguat. Great location and rooms were top notch!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel but in a loud neighborhood"
A great hotel but don't expect to get a good nights sleep especially if your room faces the local fire department or local night clubs.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Closed to Friends"
Great Hotel, good location and great service. the only thing that I could comment on is the lack of Self-Parking and the extra cost of the service. The Valets were very courteous and prompt, thoughGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Bar leaves much to be desired"
Manager & head bartender were too uptight, closed the bar an hour early (while my friend & I were still drinking), were rude, just NOT fun or happy people. Life is too short to spend an hour in this bar.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A little disappointed"
The old Melrose Hotel still has that ambiance that speaks to another era. The staff are friendly and the place is lovely. My room was spacious and well designed, however, the lighting in the bathroom was terrible, bulbs were out, even on the make up mirror. There was no hot water in the shower and worst of all, no Gideon's Bible. they almost got it […] right. Maybe next trip will be better. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
