I had an early morning event so went to bed early. The alarm clock in room next door went off after midnight. It rang for half an hour before I call the front desk. The lady said she would check. It rang for another halb an hour so I called again. She said she would check. After another 10 minuets, I had to dress up and went down stairs to find someone. […] There were two ladies there at the front desk and no body else around. Giving me all kinds of excuses for not doing anything, and even stupidly offer to change my room. One of them told me there was someone in the room so she couldn't go in there. I knew that's a lie. The overall stay was great. It could of been perfect. However, I didn't get my pre-order of breakfast even though I filled out my order and placed it on my door handle outside my door before 12:00am as they clearly said I needed to do. It took 2 hours to check in ( original time was 3pm, rooms were not ready for over 20 guests!!). Front staff needs lots of hospitality training during busy hours, they lost their "cool" many times. My family stayed here total 2 nights from 8/30 to 9/1. I requested two double bedroom but what I was offered was a king bed room. I had to stay there for 2 nights which hurt my back due to space issue. The manager named Richard just said it wasn't guaranteed. Very easy to say so. The bigger issue happened on 2nd day. We came back from Stone Mountain […] Park, the room wasn't cleaned at all. The room looks very messy and ugly. Of course, we didn't post the ' Do not disturb' sign. When I talked to the clerk and Richard to complain about this, they didn' apologize to me at all but asked me if I hung the sign on the door lock instead. This was not Marriot you might imagine. Due to this, I had to make my wife and two little kids stand out until the maid cleaned without vacuum cleaning. When checking out, the manager on day shift asked me about my stay and apologized but I am still dissapointed with their treat. This should be shared not to let them repeat same mistake. The price was good. The only real downside was the small beds. Most hotels offer at least a queen in rooms but this hotel only offered double beds. With 4 of us in the room, it would have been more comfortable with larger beds. I did notice that the bed skirt in the room looked like it hadn't been changed in quite a while..there was some moldy looking […] residue on the side closest to the night stand. I wouldn't expect that this would be something that would get changed every day, but I would think it should be changed and washed at least weekly. On another positive note, the desk staff was very friendly and always addressed us by name. Other employees in the hotel also were friendly. Overall, it was a good value for what we paid. "Not like other Marriotts"
I reserved the double queen room online, but they told me they can only give me a king size bedroom.Me,wife and a 2 year old, that was not what I expected.I asked if I can use the room to change and I would come back around 10pm so they can give me a double queen.Answer was negative.I requested crib before I left and I left around 4pm.When I came back […] it was 10pm and there was no crib in the room.The baby was already asleep and I did not bother calling the guest service to bring the crib because of the noise they would make if they brought it at that time.The room was not clean and I found a hair from a previous guess on the bed.Our room was so close to the pool and teenagers were making a lot of noise.I could not sleep until the pool was closed around 11:10pm.I canceled my 2nd night stay and booked another hotel in the area which was a great choice.After all this, cleaning service was at the door right at 8:00 am knocking the door for at least 10 times.We woke up with my wife thinking that the police was arresting us.It was a nightmare.When I turned the keys in to front desk, I was hoping that the staff would ask me how my stay was by looking at my mad face, but they did not even care.This is the worst and expensive hotel in the area.That was a great idea to change my hotel for the second night. I will not come back to this hotel ever even if they give me 5 free nights.Fan in the bathroom was not working.They did not have extra pillow anywhere in the room for the baby. Additionally, I am sorry that you had a noise issue with the youth sports group staying in the hotel. We did hire security to help ensure a good environment for all of our guests.
