I really enjoyed my stay (6 nights). I had 2 children with me and we loved the space. The area is close to lots of stores and even a hospital. I would come back to this hotel again!!

I needed to book a hotel and forgot all about the DNC being in Charlotte. I saw that this hotel was less expensive than the surrounding hotels so I chose it. I didn't expect much of the room because of the price and the way it looked on the outside. When I got to the room, it was very spacious. Had a full kitchen, work area, bed, and a living area with […] a sleeper sofa. Really exceeded my expectations. Only negative was there is no elevator and I was on the 3rd floor. This was the worst experience I've ever had to experience in a hotel stay. 1. It was a 3 floor hotel without an elevator and we were on the 3rd floor. I chose this spot so that I could get away and get some studying done for school. 2nd the T.V. was outdated and did not have a remote or cable. 3rd It was suppose to be a suite with a full kitchen. Well […] it was a suite with a full kitchen but nothing worked but the refrigerator with no ice trays, the oven worked but there was a wire hanging which looked like a hazard. 4th the people on the 1st & 2nd floor was smoking illegeal substances and cooking neck-bones. Last but surely not least me and my guest were eaten up with BEDBUGS. I would not recommended a dog to this spot. Pay the extra money it was not worth the money spent per night. The site that post this hotel's website need to remove it from their web page. This not hearsay this is from a paying guest at this hotel. Read more

Well when we arrived at around 6 pm there was only one person on duty in the whole hotel. We had to wait until she got back from helping other guest before we could check in. I asked for a smoking room and she said they only had one left on the 1st floor which to get to it you had to climb up 6 stairs to the 2nd floor and then take 20 stairs down to […] the 1st floor. When we got to our room the 1st thing we saw was that the seat cusions on the sofa sleeper were just foam squares covered in bonded batting. There was black mold on the bathroom ceiling and the TV didn't work. We got another room on the 2nd floor (which was a non smoking room even though there were cigrette burns on the sofa and in the carpet) but this room the key would not work. After finding the clerk again and having her make new keys 3 different times she finally moved us to a 3 rd room. By this time I was on the phone trying to find other accomadations which since it was a racing weekend I was not having any luck. We decided to tough it out and stay at this so called motel. When we checked out I told the girl that we would never be back and she asked me to try again later this summer as they were sceduled to redo the entire hotel starting next month. I don't think that I will give them a second chance. And if you do decide to stay here do not lock you self out of your room after 11:30 pm or you will be sleeping in the hall way as no one is on duty until 6 am again. A place to stay if you have to stay for a long visit but not really set up for a couple of night stay. No sheets for bed, went to office to get some ,had to wash, still no pillow cases and the towels were floor mats.. The noise of children running up and down the halls and smells of fish being cooked,Overall I would not stay again.

I was trulyexpecting a little more quality from this hotel. I am sure that we requested a handicap accessible room, but when we arrived they had us registered for the third floor. But the manager changed it quickly for us. We arrived to our room and the rooms next to it stated that they were non-smoking rooms and they were not. The residents next door […] looked as though they have been there awhile with the wall hangings and pictures upon the wall. I know this is an the chain of extended stay but. They were smokers also, very heavy smokers and it just flowed over into our room, into the hallways and outside. The pull out sofa was not up to standards for us. The sofa looked as though it has never been cleaned. The funiture in the entire room was old, stratched up, weak and needed replacing. With the smoke smile it was hard for me to sleep in the room. On November 24th, the residents above us was moving ALL NIGHT LONG. Walking back and forth, pacing the floor and you could hear it like it was in our room. It was very irritating. Again, I have stayed in this hotel chain before in other cities and it has been a pleasant stay. But this time it was not. I went around to the front desk on several occassions and there was no one there. I would stand and wait a while but after 3-5 minutes I gave up. I have never been in any hotel where the front desk was left unatteneded. We were scheduled to depart on the 26th and when we arrived back to our room on at 1:00 am we could not get in b/c our key card would not work and we had to again wait on the desk clerk to come and rekey our card to be let into our room. Just not a very good stay. The only thing that saved this trip for me was to be able to spend time with my family for Thanksgiving. Suggest that the furniture be upgraded especially the bed (matteress was bad). and just renovate the place the carpet smiled and everything smiled like cirgarettes. Read more

I found this hotel cheap and convenient for the price. When I arrived at about 9 pm the clerk was not at the front desk bc he was delivering towels to one of the guest rooms. He was the only one on staff. However, the wait was under 7 minutes. The room was bigger than I expected w/the old box TV, very used conforter and a dirty shower curtain. you could tell it was an older hotel- the swimming pool had green nasty water-in september it's still warm for the pool.the slide across doors on the closet had no track to follow open or close-they swayed out as you pulled them across.the next morning at 8 am!!!!!!!!!!!!! they were vacuuming outside our door??????? doesn't make sense at that hour . […] the door for our room didn't fit snuggly when locked and was shut-could see light thru the crack. and was approached by a street person for a beer and a ride upon checking out in the lobby- stepped in front of me to stop me from going further- she had to tell me her story- i gave her a beeer and checked out and got the hell from this place.
