I stayed here one night and sorry I did. My brother lives in Vegas and told me, after I booked it, that this hotel is located in one of the most gang ridled areas. I asked the front desk if it was ok to walk south to the strip at night. He paused, thought about it, and said for me, a guy it was ok, but not for my wife. Hmmm, use extreme caution staying here.

I have to say this Hotel is a like a high class Motel 6. Great price considering where the location is. You can see the Stratosphere hotel right out your window. And the Pool is great! most rooms comes with a Balcony which is great if you like to sit back and relax and enjoy an Cigar or drink. Overall I enjoyed my stay. If you are looking for the Vegas Themed Hotel this is not it. This would be great for those returning to Vegas and have stayed at the themed hotels and want to spend a little less this time around.

I would not recommend this hotel for female travelers that are traveling by themselves. Security here is poor with many open doorways into the main hallways and no sign of any security presence. This is on a pretty iffy part of LV Blvd. I used this as a cheap place to crash while I was at a conference. I spent less than 16 hrs here in a 52 hr time period. I made use of no services. They have a pool that actually looked pretty nice. Check in/out was easy and the room I was in had a nice little patio overlooking the pool. Room wasn't fancy but it was comfortable and clean.

I walked in to an Elvis weddding, which has it's novelity. I mentioned that I had a pet with me and they charged me an additional fee ($30)...which made the price way not worth it. I knew the area was not going to be the nicest, but it was pawn shop, wedding chapel, pawn shop, nude bar, the howard johnson. The room was an outdated 70's, maybe we just got that room cause we had a dog, but it had shag carpet and an old velour comforter. The worst part was the AC was broken, it blew air, but not cold. It was 106 that day and we needed a little AC to make it through the night. By the time we were fed up it was in the middle of the night and we didn't feel like arguing with the front desk. My husband ending up sleeping on the floor cause the mattress was so lumpy.

It's not a dump, and there's free internet, but it needs improvement. Not particularly clean, pretty noisy, and getting in and out of the driveway is near-suicidal. It's not a regrettable place to stay, but given that it is Vegas, there's almost certainly much more upscale places to stay for relatively little more price.

I would NEVER stay in this hotel again! For a Howard Johnson I expected it to be a pretty good hotel. Our room had terrible mold in the bathroom. The beds were very uncomfortable. The floor was uneven, like they put holes in it and just covered it up with carpet. We had holes in our wall. It was totally disgusting. I was there with my family and we all feel the same way. Not a pleasant experience at all. Very, very disappointed. Will definately not be staying there again!!!

The double floor bus covers the entire strip so the location of hotel is pretty good. +ves: 1) Budget hotel 2) Perfect location (near the strip) 3) Satisfactory service 4) Cuban bar and grill inside the hotel 5) Parking access is pretty convenient. -ves: The only -ve was that the Wifi didn't work in our hotel room. When we asked the hotel management, we were told that we can sit in the hotel lobby and use the Wifi. But it was password protected and no one knew the password.

I believe that Management should take a little bit more pride in this hotel. It has potential for being a great one. It's unfortuniate that housekeeping and Management aren't on the same level. When we checked into the hotel at 6:00pm our room was not made yet. With a decent restaurant/bar and a wedding chapel on the premises you would think the rooms are pretty kept up to, but they weren't. lots of fixtures were broken, TV remote didn't work. And when asked for Pillows housekeeping only brought one.

You'll certainly find better hotel+casino type locations to stay in Vegas, but here are some advantages we found with staying here: 1. Free wireless internet 2. Very easy access to parking (compare to walking across the casino floor, getting out to the parking lot and locating your car, if you're in a casino-hotel). It is located a good few blocks from the north-end of the strip, but is not far from the action at all - Fremont st. as well as the LV Strip.

The walls are so paper thin you can hear everything going on in the room next to you. The paint was falling off the walls. They carpet had not been vaccuumed in a long time. The bed spread and shower curtain were full of stains. It was a horrible experience. Avoid it like the plague...becuase you risk catching the plague by staying there.
