Hotel is close to boutique shops and restaurants. The front desk catered to my requests without any problem, such as a room with a city view (facing Robson street - don't request this if you like having your window open while you sleep). Enjoyed the heated floor in the bathroom. I did not use the parking facility, but it's right beside the hotel. Tip: if you want to use the hotel's internet, you have to bring a small laptop that has a internet port. I'd stay in this hotel when I come back to Vancouver.

if you don't mind frequent trains passing by, (tracks across the street from hotel front door) this was a really nice place to stay. Beds very comfortable, rooms very clean.

I needed help understanding the transit system and the front desk ladies were very helpful. From looking up bus routes to helping me purchase a day pass! I can't say enough good things about them. The bed was also very comfortable.

The rooms are equipped with everything to make you comfortable and at home. The Hotel is older but the convenient location , service , and ability to prepare hot meals, snacks and beverages in the suite make a stay very relaxing .

we stayed in a handicapped room entrance door way lip very hard to wheel over and open door at same time no grab bars out side shower /tub for transfer carpet very hard to roll on in room

Pictures and all looked great, was looking forward to it. Found the remnants of a joint on the bathroom floor. Movie ordering service was down and nothing was discounted or offered in consolation. We stayed in a suite that was well worth the price. There were great ammeninites including an indoor pool, sauna, steamroom, fitness room, hot tub and restaurant. The suites are big and comfortable and contain everything you could possibly need. It was ell worth the stay!

Nice nice hotel with excellent staff and great location, but the room we had was right above and across the street from an all-night McDonalds restaurant, the sheets were too small for the bed and the tub was extremely shallow. Still, we had a good sleep for the most part, and the room was perfect for people that like to cook some of their own food […] with a full kitchen. We arrived app. 10:30 A.M. and asked if we could leave our vehicle there as it was early to check in. They already had a room for us & parking was no problem. Everything was more than expected however as in most hotel rooms the plumbing fixtures required maintenance. In this room the sink tap leaked & the basin airater needed replacing. Don't stay at Rosedale on Robson unless you are satisfied with the bare minimum. The room is a suite with a kitchenette, but felt small and stark with dark blue carpet and furniture (which somehow gave the impression of being possibly unclean, though it's really hard to tell). Old TV. Old bathroom fixtures. The plumbing makes loud pounding noises at […] one point, which caused me to stop using the bathroom sink. The shower had low water pressure. The toilet never flushes completely. The kitchenette was complete with a mini-fridge, sink, microwave, and stove top. However, no pots or utensils were supplied. Only a few bowls, glasses, and a old water kettle, which I was afraid to use due to brown ?coffee/tea stains. The bed was reasonably comfortable. Wireless internet was available for an additional fee ($5.6/24 hours). I was on the 12th floor with typical city view into other apartment buildings and I had no trouble with noise. The location is great if you want to be near Canada Place, otherwise you can easily do better in a city like Vancouver. The service was only adequate. $1/bag/day was charged if you leave your luggage with the concierge. Overall, the hotel is usable, but somewhat uncomfortable, mostly due to the substandard bathroom and substandard kitchen supplies. I can see how this hotel can be satisfactory for a young family on a budget or a group of young people attending an event at Canada Place. However, if you are a single traveller, a business traveller, a couple looking for a romantic getaway, or if you are looking for a more comfortable suite experience (at least up to the standard of doubletree or staybridge), then you should really look elsewhere. Convenient location (across the street, actually) to a wedding reception that was held in the Vancouver Public Library foyer. Nice hotel and good pub/restaurant on location too. Great for sports fans as it is close to BC Place and the Roger's Arena. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel bed was like sleeping on a sheet of plywood set on a concrete block, the pillows were all lumpy and the bathroom was so small there was no space to sit on the toilet as the wall in front of it was too close. The cleanliness was less than acceptable to me. "Beautiful room but hidden costs"
The room was absolutely phenomenal. It had a fridge, stove oven and microwave, and spectacular views. The only thing that really annoyed me was the fact that I was not informed of a wifi charge for each device in the room. Any hotel that I've ever stayed at that had charged for wifi applied to everything. I don't mind paying the charge, but I should […] have been told that it didn't apply to our 2 devices. In these times where pretty much everyone has a laptop and a smart phone, this seems to be gouging. There was also a charge for "incidentals" which wasn't explained to me before check in. I think this hotel needs to offer either free wifi like other comparable hotels in the area, or inform their guests that there is a charge for EACH device that wants to use wifi. Good location if you are going to football games. Good restaurant/pub in the base of the hotel. They should consider replacing the beds, as our bed WAS NOT very comfortable. Our room was a suite however. Sitting room/bedroom separate which gets top marks.

The room was nice and clean, the beds extremely Comfy and beautiful view. I do wish there were windows in the living space because its dark if the room doors are closed. Very nice :)

I stayed here for one night in September, 2011, and was happy with my stay. The Hotel appears well kept, the room was clean and comfortable and the price was reasonable. The staff at this Hotel are excellent. The check-in was fast and friendly and everyone was helpful and had a genuine smile on their face. I would stay here again.

First of all the hotel upgraded me to a king size suite instead of queen, so that was a peasant surprise. It was very comfortable and close to where I needed to be.

I was a single adult. So my room -- with 2 double beds, a sofa bed, and a kitchenette -- was too much for me. Plus, I found the design of the bathroom -- awkward taps, lack of counter space, not enough towel racks or drying racks -- inconvenient. And the swimming pool was too small for someone trying to swim lengths while children were playing in the […] pool. And it was awkward having to go through the exercise room to get from the change room/washroom to the pool, and vice versa. So the hotel was not ideal for a single adult with no children. But the staff members were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was in an excellent location -- close to downtown and the waterfront. Read more

"kitchen condition"
I wanted a drink when I checked in but didn't have an ice bag to go in the ice bucket?? In the morning I discovered a used coffee filter in the coffee maker so I assumed it wasn't cleaned from previous guest!! Left me with a bad impression of overall cleanliness..

"hoet ok - restaurant terrible"
we had a pleasant stay and have been at your hotel many times. however, the restaurant needs LOTS of attention - service was very poor - waited 1/2 for coffee 1/2 hour for food which was cold - dishes, cutlery + glasses were dirty. would never go into restaurant again. others near by also had same experience.

We stayed in early August 2011 at the Rosedale and can only think of a single issue and that is with the attatched restaurant. We went a half hour before closing and upon ordering we waited 15 minutes for the waiter to come out and tell us the entree we ordered is not available and to choose another. He later told us most of the items werent available […] so we ended up going somewhere else. The rooms were nice and the shower was hot, can't ask for much more. Read more
