This hotel is filthy dirty. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. We were traveling to Hershey, PA for a weekend with our two small children. The hotel has poor security. Anyone off the street can access all the rooms on the second level. There is a bar that is connected to the hotel. We traveled and arrived to the hotel at night. While standing […] in the lobby waiting to check in, all I could hear was the music from the bar next door. The neighborhood that the hotel is located in is questionable. We did not feel safe driving through. The lighting on the outside is also very poor. After walking into our room, I refused to stay. We found another hotel that was brand new for practically the same price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"stayed on sunday April, 29th 2012"
Room had a bad odor. There was no lighting in the back of the motel. I felt unsafe. The carpeting was in poor condition. The motel is run down and definitely not what I would expect for the capital city area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Much better options for the price."
This was the first stay at an Econolodge and our last. Slow service. The breakfast was a joke. A muffin and bad coffee is the best they could doGenuine Expedia guest review

If you're traveling north or south through PA on 15 and need a place to stay in Harrisburg that's not far off 15 this is fine. There's a basic diner next door that's convenient to eat in or order carry out for your room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Econo Lodge in Wormleysburg--Dont stay here!"
This hotel has a very bad smell, from the lobby, to the hall ways, to the hotel room. It is very nasty. I requested a non smoking room & my room smelled like people smoke in it everyday. It was not clean, there were hairs all over the bathroom. The sheets had a brownish tint to them, as well as holes. It was very uncomfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Ok room not to clean. Rugs stained. No food for breakfast. Went down at 9:00 am. Eployee took a big plate in office. There was 3 small muffins and 1 peiece of white bread. That was it. We went out to eat breakfast. Not impressedGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to Harrisburg"
Basic clean room, coffee and micromuffins for breakfast(little light)room was ok for basic stay but the two twin beds in my room one was ok.The other sagged so I was glad I had a choice.Mostly negative reviews on here but this was a good reasonable basic place.I would stay here againGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I paid for what I got. I paid for a later check out and the maid was rude as ever. she was beating on the door every 10 min until we left. I explained what time our checkout was and she just kept saying well this is my last room I have things to do. Blah blah so rudeGenuine Hotels.com guest review
First impression was walking up very dirty indoor stairs. Stains in bathtub, I would not take a bath. Other than that the bed was comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Acceptable for a short stay"

I've stayed at this Econo Lodge many times over the past dozen years or so. It is convenient for me to Harrisburg, which is about four minutes away across the river. I have found this motel to gradually improve, little by little , over the years. My rooms have always been clean, as well as my bedclothes and towels. Breakfast is meager, but there is a nice diner type restaurant in front of the lodging. The front desk and housekeeping personnel were very friendly and helpful to me. On my most recent visit the bathroom drain did not work and the maintenance man fixed it correctly and politely and immediately. My room's electric, AC/heater and Wi-Fi worked well. My rate here is discounted with my Choice Hotels membership and most recently was $49.50 for a weekday and $76.50 for a weekend. That compares to a $168 best price I could find across the river. Note that this motel is next door to the state American Legion HQ and offers a discount for Legionnaires. This is not luxurious accommodation, but okay for a night for two.
"Don't stay here"

The "Econo" here refers to amenities, not the price For $100 a night, I expect WAY more than what this place delivers. We only stayed here because we got here late on a Friday and the first few places we tried were full. The wall receptacles were so worn that none of our laptop plugs would stay in - they'd just fall out on their own accord due to gravity. No sheers on the window, the TV was from around 1970, and the bedspreads, sheets, towels and pillowcases had holes in them. For two people, we were supplied the grand total of one small, thin, threadbare towel and one holy washcloth each. On the plus side, the wi-fi worked well and the shower had good pressure. The room was SO stuffy, we had to have the air conditioner on all night and it was noisy, which was good as it drowned out the freight train noises that were going on back of the parking lot. The light for the bathroom came on automatically but the vent fan (with no actual vent that I could see as there were two lightbulbs in that cavity) actually drowned out the air conditioner. The lights in the room were so dim, it was difficult to read by them - what were they.... 25 watt bulbs? The "continental breakfast" was coffee so watered down, it was likely just warm-ed up water from the nearby Susquehanna River, the only things of substance was white bread for toast and tiny muffins. I know times are tough but for $100 a night ($108 with tax) I really expect more. The double beds were tiny (even by double standards), lumpy and the headboard of one fell right off the wall, fortunately when we weren't in the bed. Oh, and there were a few bugs that we had to dispatch as well.

Traveling from Florida to Ny we booked this motel online, mistake !!!! to begin with you can't find it, there are 2 n front st's, one on each side of the river. You have to pay in advance to get a reservation and they have a no cancellation policy. The room was VERY small, the floor was giving way in front of the TV and every time you walked there the bathroom light went on. One wall switch controls ALL the electric in the room except the bathroom, I had to loosen bulbs in the lamps to control the lighting. A TRAIN runs behind the motel about 100 feet away, ugh, don't stay here.

Awful...holes in towels and washcloths, lumpy sinking bed, funky stains on carpet, icky room smell, minimal breakfast (diluted Sunny Delight, 2 kinds of small muffins that did not taste fresh), dim lighting...the list goes on.
"This is ECONOlodge--you save money, nice office employee, average room."

The room here was average for Econo Lodge price level but bed needed turned or new one! The lady in the office could NOT HAVE BEEN MORE HELPFUL--she was leaving (going out the door to her cab) when I went in and she returned to desk to answer my question and had her cab wait for her! That didn't happen any other motel! THE old cigarette smoke smell in the office wasn't in the room, and even the Radisson we visited had that same smell in their convention lobby! THE ROOM: small but complete with refrigerator and microwave. WiFi worked for my tablet and my hubby's laptop. Didn't use the TV. THE BATHROOM was spotless but TINY I think if I took a shower, I might step into toilet getting out of tub. But the tub had handrails and was solid. THE bathroom sink (in back section of bedroom area) leaked but I told the office and they didn't know--so they were going to fix it right away. The sheets were spotless (I checked with flashlight when we first go into room). SO--for the money--it wasn't bad BUT I would advise them that OUTSIDE FIRST IMPRESSION looks horrible and it needs some flowers and/or cleaning up. Visitors left cigarette buts and other small trash and where macadam ends and sidewalk begins is sloppy and needs something to clean it up and make it attractive.

What is a continental breakfast that only has muffins, bread, only some jam, juice and, coffee. Most choice hotels with continental breakfast services includes some fruit, eggs and waffles, sausages, biscuits and gravy, room was in poor shape.

Stayed here 3-4 nights per week during Spring 2013. What this facility lacked in ambiance was made up for by the convenient location and friendly staff/family that respected my day sleep schedule and were very helpful with local info. Location very convenient to both Harrisburg and West Shore. All of my stays were in one room (400) which was adequate in terms of cleanliness and comfort. The bar attached to the motel is now a diner (good food!) which closes by 9 PM doing away with the late night rowdiness. If you simply need a place to crash you'll get your moneys worth otherwise spend the extra $ for the Comfort Inn located 3 miles to the north.
"Absolutely disgusting rooms with no one who understands English."
09/03/13 irishxlove7 Nokomis, Florida
Rooms are filthy. I let my daughter run around barefoot for 10 minutes until I noticed her feet were black. Mold on shower curtains. Blood stains and cigarette burns on the sheets, along with hair and orange stains on the pillows. "Continental breakfast" is a muffin, watered down coffee, and watered down orange juice. No one understands English, although they were friendly.
"DONT STAY HERE"
08/06/13 Timothy R Williamsport, Pennsylvania
I have never written a review in my life, good or bad. But I feel the need to warn everyone from this hotel. It was horrible and disgusting. I felt like I needed a blood test to check for hepatitis after only being in the room for one hour. There were no sheets on the bed. The bed had multiple stains on it from god knows what. The towels had stains. The other surfaces had sticky (I am afraid to ask what) stuff on it. It smelled funky. And when we called hotels.com to complain and the owner found out we were current guests he kicked us (three families with kids from three separate rooms) out at 1230 am. Even when I explained the situation he laughed. I will admit once he started laughing I said some things that I should not have but this guys should be running a hotel but be in prison some where.
