"Close to center city"
The hotel location was ideal. It was close to center city and overall it was a nice place to stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very convenient location. Redding market across the street for a wonderful breakfast. Tour buses right outside the door. Very friendly bell boys who seem to now everything about the city!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel staff was very willing to help and was very polite. We did not have to wait for room to be serviced, and she was very thorough and friendly. A pleasant stay, and would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is fantastic. The R1 train from the airport stops right next store to the hotel and its close to restaurants, sightseeing and just walking around leisurely.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Went away for two nights, great service, great rooms. We were in the seperate tower and the room was amazing! All the staff was so amazing. They have a bar and restraunt downstairs. Also connected to a Starbucks which is nice. For the money I spent, it was worth every penny! It's walking distance to amazing restraunts, we went to alma de Cuba and el […] vez, and then we went to south street for a day, we felt that it was in the perfect location! "Great location. Great staff."
WORST TV EVER. But you're not in a hotel to watch tv so its maddening quirks will send you out for more sight seeing.Genuine Expedia guest review
The Marriott provided a comfortable location to stay walking distance from all the major sites and an easy train ride to Citizens Bank Park where we went to see the Phillies vs. Mets. It's across from Reading Terminal Market which offers a plethora of food choices. The price for parking your car at the hotel is outrageously expensive, however.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location. Clean"
Across the street from Redding Terminal Market. A couple blocks from restaurants and bars great location at a reasonable price. Very nice clean hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
Has a beautiful stay. This was the biggest Marriot I've ever seen. The only thing I would recommend is having more valet people especially since it's a busy hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, right next to Reading Terminal."
We walked to dinner and drinks from our hotel on a warm summer night and had a great time in Philly.Genuine Expedia guest review
Love the hotel. It was close to the sites I wanted to visit and reasonable parking near by.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice hotel!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel was very nice, centrally located (connected to the convention center, Reading Terminal Market is literal steps away), and it was clean! The staff at the front desk were helpful and very nice. What I was unleashed with was my experience with the valet outside of the hotel. It seems the Marriott and their valet system operate as two separate […] entities almost. They were not the nicest people, appeared tired and lazy, and didn't help immediately when they saw people clearly standing around waiting to be helped. I unfortunately asked to have my car out of the garage one afternoon and the woman who went to go and get it had the bright idea to bring it out of the parking structure and then instead of pulling it up to me at the front of the exit, she drove it around to where people checking in were just pulling up to the hotel. So she sat in my car at the back of a line for 10 additional minutes. That doesn't make any type of sense. Otherwise, the hotel is also always awake and busy no matter the time of day on the weekend so if you like a more quiet experience, stay elsewhere. I didn't mind for this short stay but going forward I will remember that. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This was my first time staying at this hotel. I had a wonderful time and the rooms were very nice. The only thing is that I would have liked a mini fridge in the room, those were available but only if you requested them beforehand.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Pretty convenient location. Close to Reading Terminal market and Chinatown.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel close to convention center"
Beautiful hotel close to convention center... You can either walk through the inside connecting skywalk or walk 1-2 blocks outside. Hotel is within walking distance to many nice restaurants/shops. We liked the fact that hotel offers indoor parking but it is limited valet parking priced at $46-48/night. I'd recommend parking at another garage to save […] some bucks, especially if you are staying for a few nights. Room was great... Clean, perfect size for two but pillows were horrible. We choose to sleep with no pillows since it was unbearable. Also, during the night, around 4am, fire alarms started going off LOUDLY! It gave us quite a scare but it seemed to have been some sort of malfunction (which lasted over 10 minutes). Receptionist at lobby said there was nothing to worry about and alarms would be shut off soon but it ruined our sleep regardless. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

We enjoyed our stay. We came in to Philadelphia to celebrate the 4th of July and were very happy with this hotel. The staff was fabulous and it was located close enough to walk to the events but far enough to go back and not be bothered by the crowds!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A few issues"
Check in smooth. I was shocked at the valet and outside the hotel. While there I witnessed valets and cab drivers fighting on property at one time cab driver got out of car and valet also approached cab driver yelling we moved thinking a fist fight was going to happen. Sitting outside on bench homeless would come up;ask for money, I witnessed a valet […] pay homeless man to leave the area! Hallways very warm When I checked out my daughter found out she left a box in room I went up to front desk was told that security would bring it down. We waited in mean time my daughter had secured the key from concierge and retrieved the box. I was shocked she was handed a key she was not on the room as person who booked it and I was told to wait and I was on the room. Great location and good breakfast. Overall it was a great stay. I was there for the Philadelphia Comic Con and the Hotel was closer to the convention center than I thought. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Also, great location from places to eat. It was a bit pricey but not uncommon for a nice hotel in the city, so it was at least worth it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Hotel, but..."
The hotel itself was quite nice. However they up charge through the wazoo. 13 bucks a day for wireless internet. Yeah, you can get internet for free if you have an Ethernet port, but many laptops have done away with that. 50 a day for parking. 21 bucks a person for breakfast. Compared to the Hampton Inn I stayed at last year around the corner which […] had free wireless, free breakfast, 25 a day parking and cheaper rooms to boot. If the Marriott wasn't connected to the convention center I would have stayed somewhere else. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice and clean hotel. The only issue I had was it connected to the Philadelphia convention center. Which was where I was going. And we weren't allowed access through the hotel. Which didn't make anysense, considering it's just through the skywalk and had signs everywhere to go through there. Also a lot of the celebrities from the convention center […] stayed in the hotel. So I got to meet a few. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
All in All the stay was nice. The only issu was the parking. The Marriot did not have enough spce in it's garage to afford all registered guests an area to park. Guests at the Hotel should have been afforded the parking, when in fact we had to pay an extra 100.00 daollars to park the vehicle. Very dissapointing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent service and very friendly staff. Will definitely stay here again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean and Convenient"
My girl friends and I had a bachelorette weekend in Philly and stayed here because of how close it is to everything. The room was clean, AC works, and the staff was friendly. The only thing I would change is offering double queen size beds instead of double full sized bed, the room was large enough for this, but three of us shared a room, and it wasn't […] comfortable sleeping. Otherwise, we loved the location (1.5 mi from 30th street station and a couple of steps from SEPTA Market-Frankford line)! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The rooms were really clean, but there was no refrigerator and the ice machine on our floor was broken. The bed was very uncomfortable. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The pool was disappointing.Genuine Expedia guest review

Me and my husband stay in the hotel for the weekend on our getaway without the child. It was beautiful and clean room with modern touches and felt very luksury to stay in this hotel down town Philadelphia. Walking distance to historical places and beautiful pier. The stuff was nice and helpful, the room new and clean with very Comftable bed.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very good central location"
Lot of activity. Easy access to regional rail lines and subway. Can walk to symphony and the like. Reading terminal Market just next door. Staff impersonal. Room very nice except for hard pillows. A functional and pleasant place to stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A few issues, but the location made up for it!"
I stayed four nights in this hotel, and there were only a few issues. One, if your booking did not include wifi, the cost for it was $13/day. My cell phone service was very spotty in my room, and I was unwilling to pay the wifi cost, so I had limited internet access. Another issue is my bathtub did not have a shower curtain, which I did not realize […] until I was ready to shower. I called for a new one, but no one came. I called again later in the day, and they came up within 20 minutes. I will say that the staff was very friendly! Overall the best thing about the hotel is the convenient location to all of downtown Philadelphia. I was able to walk to almost anything I wanted to see, or I was able to use available transit. I would stay here again simply for location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Great location, convenient to reading terminal market (so yummy), the liberty and independence tourist areas, jewelers row, etc. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Parking is outrageously expensive, i recommend parking in one of the many garages in a 1 block radius from the hotel. those garages typically charge $26 per 24 hour period vs. $48 by the […] hotel. "Great Location to visit Philadelphia"
The hotel was very close to the historic area which is the main reason we went to Philadelphia. It was also very close to some of the museums and several restaurants. The room was very nice and very clean. The staff was very helpful. The only negative things I would say is that the pool they have is more like a lap pool than one where kids can play […] in and there was no refrigerator in our room. "Went for a conference"
Great hotel. Easy access from/to the SEPTA rail system at the Market East station. Can get off traine up up a few levels and walk right into the 3rd floor of the hotel and down to the front desk. Room and room service was good. The only problem I had with the room was the air conditioning and heat. The only option was "AUTO" . So once it got cool enough […] if the dropped any lower 1 degree lower the heat would cut on and then it was too warm. I tired leaving the fan on but it would cycle off if the auto moe kicked in. Maybe it was just my air unit. But I do plan on going back and seeing the sights on another trip. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel and and perfect location."
Perfect location for a conference in the convention center. In fact, there is a skybridge directly to the convention center which was extremely convenient when it was pouring outside. The hotel is busy due to its proximity to all major Philly attractions. Rooms were clean and comfy.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Poor front of house service"
I'm afraid my experience was ruined by waiting at the Concierge for 15 minutes (Sunday at midday) while the three female receptionists at check-in studiously ignored me. When I approached one of them she replied airy that the Concierge 'usually' left an Away message on the counter. Bad service Marriott and little by way of Sorry from poorly trained […] staff. "Good place to stay in Center City"
Stayed for a night here, and the room had all the standard amenities, minus the obligatory in-room free WiFi - there really is no excuse for not providing it in room (it is free in the lobby). Price could have been lower, but then again, this is a Marriott.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very comfortable. Well cleaned. Love the staff"
I had a very nice time. It was my daughter's birthday. Wanted to treat her somewhere nice. I would stay here againGenuine Expedia guest review
The Downtown Marriott is a very large and busy hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and well maintained. The staff were helpful. However, there was no in-room internet so many people went to the lobby to use the free internet available there. The lobby was very crowded with people coming and going at all hours. There is no parking for guests unless […] you want to pay an extra $48 per night. Great location right downtown. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
