I expected a much better stay that I had. When I checked in it appeared that I was inconveniencing the front desk staff. That set the tone for the whole stay.

Add shower caps to your bathroom amenities please. Other than that the room was spacious, bed/lines comfy and overall set up was user friendly. Breakfast was delicious by the way...scrambles eggs were some of the best I have ever had. It was room service too! So they stood the test even in traveling!!

It was exactly what we needed. We were there for the 2012 Oireachtas (Irish Dance Competition) and the hotel did a great job with all the mayhem. They even let us check out at 7 instead of 4. We didn't use any amenities since I was competing but the hotel was very nice.

You have no choice but vallet, it is not included in the price, so an extra $40 per night to park your vehicle and when they bring it to us the smell of cigarret was terrible!! For the money I paid, I was very disappointed with the following; 1) The staff was no friendly at all and it was as if the guest were a bother. Very nice and clean hotel. They have a decent breakfast buffet. The only downside was the valet parking was full and we spent an arm and a leg paying for parking during our overnight visit... Parking in Philadelphia is very expensive!

While the hotel itself was beautiful in decor, our room was awful. There was a damp and moldy stench. For the dollar amount spent on this overnight stay my mother and I were totally disgusted and a bit uncomfortable. The room needed to be aired out, unfortunately we could not do that due to the fact there were no windows that could be opened.

The worst experience ever. The hotel was crowded, the manager was not in control of his housekeeping staff and was rude to the guests trying to check in hours after the checkout time had passed! The hotel is right in center city Philadelphia, easy access to SEPTA (philly subway system) and other public transportation. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The restaurant was overpriced, but the Reading terminal market is just across the street with many food options (but hours are limited on weekends). Easy walking distance to City Hall. […] Only 5 minute subway ride to the main historical attractions, ie: Liberty Bell, Constitution Hall, Betsy Ross House, etc. The only thing we didn't like was that they wouldn't give us the Marriott Rewards Points that we typically earn because we booked through Expedia. The company insisted that they didn't make any money on our stay (which seems bizarre since we paid the going rate) and so they wouldn't give us the reward points. The beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows. This hotel was very close to the Reading Market where we could get all kinds of food,fresh juices ........ It is also close to restaurants and walking distance to atractions. It was a very pleasant stay.

I would recommend bathrobes in the bathrooms. Wi-fi at least in the hotel lobby is a must. The computers for checking in and printing boarding passes are not working properly.

Fantastic location, directly adjacent to the rail station for the line to the airport and close to many major attractions. The market next door was an unexpected bonus, with many great dining options available there as well as within easy walking distance. The hotel was very nice. Very close to the convention center and Market. My only complaint was that the towels were thin and rough and the soap had an unpleasant aroma - not what I expect from a Marriott. They do not offer complimentary shuttle to/from the airport and you have to pay for internet access in the rooms.
