"Great hotel in proximity to UP"
Reviewed by Esa of New York, NY on Dec 28, 2009
Great hotel. If I were to look for a problem, it would be that they do not have a flat screen tv and cable box toggles to channels slower than norm. I stayed in a studio suite. There was lots of space. Bed was comfortable. You have your own entrance that leads you directly outside (like mini-houses). Even a (very) mini balcony but still wonderful since we did not expect it. Free internet. Although I had some issues with getting it running, but they sent someone over right away, even though it was Xmas Eve!. Plenty of light (stayed on 2nd fl). Kitchen has appliances. I really loved and appreciated the comfort I felt during my stay. Hotel staff was very friendly.

Reviewed by John of Groton on May 6, 2009
This is a standard Residence Inn but it seems to have been around a while so it is beginning to show its age. For example they loaned us a DVD player but after a day of hourly visits they finally had to replace the tv set because it was so old there was no way to switch to the DVD player. The toilet was tiny. The internet is only wired. The rooms were clean and up to Marriott standards they just need an update. The breakfast was well above average--lots of hot items. The staff was very pleasant but overwhelmed much of the time. The location is very good--about two minutes from the University. Minutes away from lots of restaurants, shopping, etc.

I love this place. The rooms are like apts. You can buy a fire log and have a cozy fire and eat the popcorn they provide. The breakfast is a full meal with eggs, and sausage and biscuits, etc Not just a stale donut. I look for reasons to go.

My husband and I ran away for the weekend to Binghamton and had a great time. The hotel staff were excellent, the room was very comfortable and clean, and the cookies someone else mentioned on the site were great. It was close to everything, but on a quiet hill. Would go back again.

This was the third different hotel that I have stayed in over the last four years in this city. I was amazed at the value for the price I paid. The room was huge, compared to the previous hotels that I have stayed in. Smoking is not allowed in any of the rooms, as a steep monetary penalty would be applied if smoking was proven. The wood fireplace is a nice touch, though I did not get a chance to use it. The attached kitchen is an asset with stove and refrigerator. Next time I return to this city, I will definitely use this same hotel. It met all of my expectations.

Difficult to find. Hotel very comfortable and spacious. Clean and good service. It took us about an hour to locate this place even with the address.

This hotel delivers on everything it promises. Lots of amenities, full kitchen including utensils, dishware, glasses. Comfortable bed, free internet, digital cable, and even a fireplace. The are only 2 improvements I would suggest: a better sign because it's very difficult to see the hotel if you're driving on the same side of the highway, and it could have used at least one more trash recepticle as there was only one in my room located under the kitchen sink and having another one in or near the bathroom would have been helpful.

I did not go with very high expectations for this hotel. But the room was very comfortable with a kitchen and refridgerator. The room was clean enough. The only thing I missed was an iron for pressing clothes ! But I can live without that for such comfort!

I was very satisfied with the room. The only complaint I have is about the maid putting dirty coffee cups in the dishwasher and the cabinets instead of washing them. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

A little hard to find as off the highway a bit and no huge signage. Very convenient to the university. The breakfast was awesome. Real scrambled eggs and oatmeal, as well as the usual stuff, and the room was bigger than our first apt, with an entire kitchen setup, all for the regular price of a room.

Very nice rooms and great staff. Just around the corner from the university, but you'll miss it if you're not careful (it's on a hill just next to the local TV station). Would highly recommend for an extended stay.
