Maidens Hotel, Delhi - New Delhi

Whilst just a little away from the "cbd", Maidens is very short and easy subway ride from Connaught Place and yet miles away in peace and tranquility. Loved this hotel and will be back.

This is a colonial-era hotel with lot of class, charm and elegance. They seem to have done a lot of interior renovations recently. We loved the facilities and the service was just excellent. The hotel is in a great location, very close to the Metro and some fine restaurants. We will definitely return.

This is a great hotel. The service was amazing, the grounds and pool were beautiful, and it was surprisingly peacefu for being surrounded by the chaos of Delhi. This is just a half-step below some of the five-star super-high-end places in town, but it is still alltogether a great place to stay. My only complaints were (1) there was no thermostat in […] the room, and you had to call the front desk if you wanted it cooler (and even then, it was a little warm at night), and (2) it proved remarkably difficult for cabs and autorickshaws to find. We got a ride back from various locations at least three times at night, and no one could find the place. It got to be a little frustrating. Its about a half block from a new metro stop, though, so that is how we got around most of the time during the day - which was great. All in all, for the price, you get a near perfect 5-star hotel, in a location that is a little bit removed. If you can get a deal online, it is totally worth the extra money over a budget place. I have stayed at the Maidens many times over the last 10/12 years and even taken my family there, it did start to look a little shabby but the refurbished rooms are now superb again maintaining the lovely character with modern fittings. The Gardens look even better now the Tennis court has been removed, cannot wait to go back again

I had been travelling in India for one month and decided to stay somewhere as comfortable as possible for my last few days in the country. Maidens fit the bill to a tee. Quiet, wonderful a/c as an escape to the 43 degree heat, sincerely friendly staff and a very soft bed were the antidotes to hard travelling. The pool was also an oasis in this place. […] The hotel is set in immaculate grounds, a park really. filled with birdlife and large banyan and palm trees. I cannot recommend this enough. A short walk took us to the Civil Lines subway stop which meant that we were conveniently connected to any of the major sites and to the airport. Treat yourself to a stay here, as it is a heritage hotel from 1910 and has kept that feeling of home away from home. My flight was late in the evening and I did not leave the hotel until 1800 hours with no late check out fee. They also had upgraded my suite without any reason. This place is a gem. Read more

We stayed in this lovely old Colonial hotel for one night in December. The rooms are massive with very high ceilings, but are very sparsely furnished which makes it feel a bit empty and not very cosy. The bathroom has a shower and bath in one. Unfortunately, as was the case with most of the hotels in India, getting the water temperature correct was […] very difficult! The cold water didn't work at all in the bathroom so to flush the toilet we had to use the bucket from the rubbish bin and fill it up from the bath tap and put in the top of the toilet. The hot water worked, but it wasn't piping hot. Since we only stayed here for one night, we didn't bother complaining about the water issues. The restaurant at the hotel had amazing food - was acutally the best Indian food we had in our entire India trip! The one thing that they could work on though is the atmosphere in the restaurant and bar - it was very quiet and they had really bright flourescent lighting. We felt the need to whisper. The hotel seems to be not very close to anything like restaurants, bars, etc. Even though it was a really nice hotel, for the price we paid, I wouldn't stay here again. Read more

The Maidens Hotel is fantastic. The hotel is one of Delhi's oldest hotels, which is apparent with its colonial style and charm. The rooms were Big and spacious, exceptionally clean and after flying from the UK I had no trouble sleeping. The rooms are very quiet, we didn't hear any other guests while in our room. The room, comprised of 3 rooms actually. A […] lounge - with a "large" LCD TV sofa, desk and chair. The bedroom - with another Large LCD TV, a walk-in wardrobe, 2 chairs, coffee table, two bed-side tables and twin beds (as we had booked the twin). The Bathroom/Toilet - BIG spacious bathroom, with a separate bath and shower glass cubical, marble floor and walls. The Entire hotel is very clean, and all staff bowed and said "good morning" when walking past them. The pool was great, very deep (although they say no diving), and the water was warm/hot. Wir waren positiv überrascht von der Größe und Ausstattung des Zimmers. Es war sauber und hatte einen zusätzlichen Ankleideraum. Die Poolanlage ist gepflegt und ruhig. Lediglich das laute Knattern des Generators bereitete uns Probleme beim Einschlafen. Auf Wunsch wurde der Generator abgestellt, dieser Service hat uns gefallen.

Reception and service were excellent, as was the comfort of the room. Location is good for Old Delhi, for New Delhi and Airport you need a taxi. Airport was 40 minutes - but at 09.30 in the morning. Can fully recommend this Hotel if you accept this minimal incomfort.

Ruhiges Hotel im alten Kolonialstil mit Flair. Etwas abgewohnt. Zumindest unser Zimmer hatte kein Fenster, dies wird wohl aufgrund der Bauweise auf fast alle Zimmer zutreffen. Insgesamt etwas zu teuer für das Gebotene.

호텔 자체는 콜로니얼스타일로 이국적인 분위기를 즐길수 있고 아름다운 정원과 수영장은 무척 만족 스러웠다.객실도 청결하고 넓어서 편안하였고 직원들도 친절 하였다. 객실에 창문이 외부로 나 있지 않은 점이 좀 불만이었는데 호텔측 얘기로는 더위 때문에 그렇게 했다고 했다. 고풍스럽고 고급 스러운 분위기였다. 위치는 지하철에서 가까운 것은 좋았으나 주변에 아무런 다른 것이 없다는 점이 아쉬었다.
