First night- lots of people running in the hall and shouting at each other -at 1-1:30 A.M.! Second night- fire alarm went off at midnight-and several times after that. hotel called it a "false alarm". Then, the next morning- we had no hot water- could not shower or shave. Purpose of trip was a surprise visit for my mother. The room was clean and cozy like always. Fitness room is small but well maintained and served our needs. Staff was wonderful and attentive. Continental breakfast was consistently good each morning. Would recommend to a friend.

Our stay was great. We enjoyed having the sofa in our room for our guests to sit on while we waited to go to the play at Meadow Brook. Our hotel was the meeting place for our group. The breakfast was very tasty and plentiful.

Family attended a Pistons game on Friday evening. I chose this hotel because it was close to the Palace. It was great. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Breakfast choices were great, even my picky child ate well. Overall great night stay.

Great front desk staff. It was a sold out Friday night with two motor coach group and wedding parties. I wanted peace and quite and Luis put me in a nice quite section of the hotel. Really appreciate him taking the time to do this. I used to be in this industry and always appreciate those extras.

I have to travel to Detroit twice a month. The nice gal at the front desk, Sharon, remembers my name and makes leaving home a little easier.This hotel is very comfortable and offers all the amenities I enjoy at a reasonable price. This hotel provided good value for money. It is clean and the rooms are spacious and well kept. There is a nice breakfast offered to guests. The only drawback was the beds were not that comfortable.

The staff was very helpful, even though we booked through a third party and didn't get the same type of room we booked (two full beds, with sleeper), apparently the type of room booked is not always honored if booked through a 3rd party and holel is full. Our room was not available at time of arrival (5 pm) still need to be cleaned. Room would be availabel […] in 30 minutes. The staff review the situation and moved some other reservations and was able to provide a solution so that my family and I wouldn't have to wait for our room to be cleaned. Nice job.... Read more

Great place to stay, huge rooms, comfy beds and fluffy pillows. Breakfast was wonderful. We will definately stay here again. Only two areas that we didnt' enjoy: (1) horribly thin and harsh Scott toilet tissue, and (2) the sink is located outside the bathroom right in front of the beds, so no privacy in washing up for bed or drying off after shower. […] Fine for a couple, but if family or friends decide to share a room, maybe a little less privacy than desired! Outstanding staff at this hotel. Very friendly and outgoing. We also enjoyed the breakfast with healthier choices rather than all danish and carb/fat loaded variety. Room was very clean and comfortable. Spacious as well. We had 2 children with us and enjoyed having a seperate sitting area from the bedroom area.

HP's are very consistent from location to location. This one does things a bit more over the top with exceptionally trained and attentive staff. Suspect there is a strong manager behind them supported their efforts. Applaud the results and will become my default stay location in the future.

Was nice stay did not know there was a Justin Bieber concert at the Palace lots of teenage girls and their Moms, We were ready to leave the hotel early but a alarm went off and we left even earlier. Made for a great story!

The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was good hot sandwiches, oatmeal, cereal, pastries, bagels, fruit, juice and coffee. The hotel was clean overall but I think our housekeeper hurried because there was food in the refrigerator and some on the floor under desk and on couch. Maybe someone used it for lunch break. They did come and clean it […] up right away. The beds were comfortable Tv was huge and it was nice having wet bar and sectional couch. We were there for a concert at The Palace of Auburn Hills. There is a restaurant called Hoops that offers a shuttle service. For $10 per person they will take you to their restaurant to eat and then drop you off right at the doors for the concert and pick you up after and take you back to your hotel. They will also just take you right to the concert or to their restaurant to eat. I think that was only $5. It was the best money ever spent. You have to pay $20 to park at concert if you drive. Their food was good. Great fish and chips and wings and hamburgers. The best part was going in the back way and missing all of the traffic. We were back to our hotel in no time and the bus was fun with music and other people from the concert. Call restaurant or hotel for details. Fun time! Read more

Overall the hotel was nice, inviting and clean. However, we did run into some issues that were quite irritating. 1.The reading lamp was burnt out on one side of the bed 2.The faucet on the sink leaked all over, so we had to wrap a wash cloth around it so it didn't flood the counter 3.We called down for an extra pillow and it took them 45 minutes to […] bring it to us!! So we all waited around just so we could go to bed. 4.We specifically chose this hotel because it has a pool. In the morning we were leaving we all got our swimsuits on and headed down. We then found out they had just closed it due to unsupervised brother and sister got into a fight and the girl punched her brother in the nose and it bled on the concrete around the pool. We went to find out when it would reopen and they said it would be closed all day!! No blood even got in the water! 5.The front desk was horribly understaffed 6.The breakfast was very good with both cold and hot choices. The seating was too small and a lot of people sat on couches, which were in front of the doors, and we were all freezing. 7.The breakfast was also way understaffed. I had to wait 30 mins for hot water for tea. There was only one person in charge of the coffee area, but because there was only one person at the front desk, she spent most of her time there because they were swamped, again.
