Downtown Seattle stretches along Puget Sound from historic Pioneer Square in the south to trendy Belltown in the north. In between, office towers, shopping gallerias, and brick condos line the leafy avenues. The convention center is here, as is Pike Place Market, where salmon fly. Don’t miss the futuristic main library. Seattle’s twin stadiums and the International District lie south of downtown.

This beautiful, older hotel had amazing staff, great restaurants and was very quiet. Perfect location for Pike Place and all downtown attraction. Easy walk to monorail to Space Needle. Beds could have been a little more comfortable and bathtubs were small, but that did not overly impact our stay. We loved the hotel and Seattle!

Overall, the hotel was very nice. It had the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The room was very quiet; I felt like I was the only one on the floor. I was able to get a discounted rate but don't think I'd stay there at the full rate. If you like the ambiance of an older hotel, then this is perfect.

The service was top notch and the hotel is old-school beautiful. However, the place is badly in need of updating. The carpets and fabrics are all really threadbare and seem neglected. Also, our suite clearly used to be a smoking suite and still smelled like it. I would have been upset if I had not found a great rate here. The location and restaurants are all excellent. If they update the place, we would return.

Me and my wife was very impressed with this hotel. It is old fashion which gives this hotel character the service was excellent the staff was very helpful and the room was very nice. The TV is old fashion but who normally stays in there room when there is so much to do in Seattle. The only thing that we did find was the rooms are very thin you can hear people when the shout at each other which we found but other than that I would give this 5 stars but then everybody have there own view.

I enjoyed my stay at The Fairmont, even if it didn't have a view of the beauiful bay; everything was perfect except for one thing: I was in Seattle for the Seahawk-Bear game and the concierge told me that I wouldn't be able to obtain a ride by the town car to Quest Field--too much trouble and traffic--Ouch! I would have expected more from a five-star hotel! But, other than that, the food, service, etc. was definitely world-class. I would stay there again.

It should be five star but they still use the old sytle television .the beds are not comfortable and their pillows are terrible . Looks like big comfy pillows but thy felt like paper. Unfriendly reception talked to me like I don't know what he is talking about , gave me no info about nothing , he just checked me in and did not even say my room number . For the amount of dollars we paid it is not worth it . Might as well stay at comfort inn . I understand their motive is traditional but not traditional to the extreme that u feel like in in the boondocks with their lamps and tv and couch and everything . All in all they can do better.

Hotel is circa 1924, and probably after several internal renovations, and external refresh in its history...last being 2006.....this hotel has all the modern technology, but has not lost the charm & decor, the 10-star service, the spacious rooms, and perfect location in center of Seattle. The Georgian restaurant is worth every delicious bite. I have traveled the world, and this hotel stands as one of the best...a gem for Seattle visitors. Highly recommend !!
