Yes they do have doormen and all were very friendly and helpful. My business meeting ran late and I was able to check my bag and use the Fitness Center to change and freshen up prior to my flight. Only thing I can say on a negative was closet doors would not open all they way due to door stops and made it slightly akward to move around - not a big deal […] and comfort and quality of Hotel outshines something as small as that, Staff was very friendly. Fairmont Olympic is a beautiful "Old Grand Dam" Hotel. The rooms could use updating, but they are still very nice. GREAT location to walk to most everything. Service was VERY GOOD.

What else can I say? Clean rooms, great service, pool and workout facilities were nice, location is in the heart of downtown. Yes, it is pricey (and that's not even including the valet), but I couldn't think of a better way to enjoy the holiday season. A great splurge for the weekend!

Great hotel and location. Executive suites are pretty small relative to the description and other equivalent places. Rooms need an update in technology - they have CD players (no MP3 connection possible), limited if any power plugs (phones had to be plugged in in the opposite room) and the TV was not HD. We had a great experience and were treated well. The 1st room we were offered was tiny and had a view of the hotel's own construction. They happily moved us to another room. All of the service staff of the hotel were great! I gave a 4 because of the time it took to get to the valet to park, the rude host at the Georgian and the fact that I don't think […] it was worth the extra money we paid to be there. Very comfy bed and helpful, pleasant staff. However, the food is terribly overpriced and not reflective of the high-quality image the hotel is trying to maintain. High charges for internet, parking, and room service are not justified by the quality of the services or the hotel.

In years past this was a great experience. This year seemed like a "perfect storm". How could we predict that our waiters would each have English as a second language? This beautiful historic hotel is gorgeously appointed and the staff is happy to serve. We had Thanksgiving dinner in The Georgian Room restaurant and it was a feast unsurpassed in a classic setting, well worth the huge price tag. The parade was a bit wet but each room is fitted with an umbrella which came in handy all day. Staff were very friendly. The hotel is elegant and tastefully decorated. We had problems with the room temperature and the door to the bedroom in our suite only offered visual and not aural separation. Other than that, we will stay there again on our next visit to Seattle.

This is a beautiful old hotel that has been well mantained and thoughtfully updated in a traditional style. The service was wonderful. My only complaint would be that there was a fairly uncomfortable mattress - otherwise the entire experience was great!

The Fairmont is an established and classic hotel that did not disappoint! It had all amenities, was quiet, conveniently located to downtown destinations (within a few blocks of Pike Market, for example) with great conceirge service as well. Clean and comfortable room with excellent room service. We really had a great 6 night stay.

With the overall expense of the hotel, I expected the bed to be WAY more comfortable and the fridge not to be an extra $25/night. The carpets, wallpaper, and drapes are in need of updating - or just new! Good location, though but not worth it for the price.

The carpet in the room was worn and stretched. I was on a non-smoking floor and the connecting room had a smoker in it. When I complained, the solution was for me to move rooms rather than have the smoker, in a non-smoking room, stop smoking. Also, the battery in the room safe was dead, so the safe would not work.
