The hotel is in a excellent location (nearest train station is Port Maillot) not far from Champs Elysee and the Arc de Triomphe. The lobby is quite impressive, but I wasn't as impressed with the size of the rooms, especially for the price! Also, my wash-hand basin was blocked when we arrived and I had to ask the consierge 4 times before it was finally sorted. Be aware the mini-bar is a fortune - 7 euros for a tin of beer (330ml), while you can buy 6 tins for 4.5 euros in the market in the mall attached to the hotel! Also, be aware that the Bar Panoramique on the 33rd floor is grossly overpriced, the cheapest drink being 22 euros!!!! There wasn't any tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. Overall though it wasn't a bad experience, it's just that I've had better experiences! If you go be prepared for everything to be expensive.

The check-in / check-out process should really be overhauled by this hotel. Most major hotels (especially in the US) have got this down to a fine art. They really need an automated check-out process to speed things up. But the staff there seemed friendly and helpful. We asked for a high room with an Eiffel Tower view, and the check-in staff obliged and found us a room on the 27th floor with a fantastic view of the Tower. The hotel bars seem to operate a ?twin menu? system with two different prices (which seems very dishonest to me). A waiter whisked away a menu with drinks displayed at half the cost of the one he replaced it with as soon as we sat down. Don?t drink there - full stop! There is a metro station below the hotel which is on a good line to get you round most of Paris. The Arc de Triomphe is only a short walk away, so it is pretty centrally located. Breakfast at the hotel was good. The buffet was topped up pretty regularly and the quality of the food was good. As someone previously mentioned in a review, the rooms are a little on the hot side even with the air conditioning on. Opening the window wasn?t an option as the city is a little too loud at night. The rooms were a little small, but clean and tidy. Over all, it was a well priced hotel in a good location. I would recommend it.

We travelled five EU Countries in 10 days, sort of a mini Europe Tour as my treat for my husband on his b-day. I must say without bias that this hotel exceeded than the other EU hotels we've been to. The moment I walked into the lobby for check-in, I didnt realize the grandeur and sophistication of the hall, the overwhelming high ceiling that made me feel like being in one of those cathedrals, and the high-end store within the building. The business center was an effecient chic place to do a quick work for the office or just checking the flight for the next day. The staff was absolutely warm, professional and are there to help, They even helped me out in getting info for a Thalys train sched without hesitation (it was past midnight when I asked for their assistance, when I checked my flight the next day was overbooked we decided to go to Brussels for our JFK flight, Brussels is only over an hour train ride. The train station is also a few minutes walk from the hotel, so getting anywhere and pretty much in all of the city landmark is not a problem. If you are a New Yorker and can get by the commute of subways, then Im sure you will absolutely love this hotel, knowing the traffic of the city and the limited days we had, we relied pretty much on the train to maximize our day. We were able to do all that we intended to do during our stay. The Arc De Tromp is only two train stop away and we were able to get the hop-in hop-out city bus tour from there. By the way, it was my husband's b-day that day we checked in, and I jokingly asked the front desk if we can get a room with the eiffel tower view for his b-day, he smiled and looked at the passport and said, "As a matter of fact I think I do have. Ok. No extra charge. Happy Bday. Enjoy your stay". I was amazed at how much they really mean customer service, true enough when we get to our room, the eiffel tower is staring straight at us through our window at 12 O'clock direction. It was the last country of our EU tour, most o

But if you don't mind taking the subway every morning this is a gem of a hotel. Everything was perfect and when we looked out our window we saw the bright lights of the Eiffel Tower beaming at us. i travel extensively all over the world and have stayed at this hotel on several occasions. i'm not sure i will go back again. it seems that every time i go there, the prices continue to be raised (i was just there in May and the prices have raised since then). the menu at the restaurant changes frequently and has been quite good in the past but this time, i found nothing on the menu even remotely interesting enough to justify the cost. so i ended up ordering a $27 euro hamburger with a $7 euro coke. yes, that's right, i said $7 euro coke. what an absolute joke. that same $7 coke can be found in your mini bar in your room if you can't get enough. in all my travels, i've never experienced price gouging to this level. the breakfast is no longer included in most room rates. that price: $27 euros, for runny eggs and croisants. hot tip. there is a grocery story in the shops attached to the hotel. i went there and purchased a 6-pack of coke, a 6-pack of waters and a can of pringles for the same $7 euros the one can of coke costs me at the hotel, 100 yards away. the rooms are beginning to get run-down. paint was peeling on all of the moulding. the free internet is painfully slow, even in the middle of the night when it should be fast. the one thing this hotel has is location and view as well as the convenience of being on the air-france bus route. as long as they are charging $7 euros for a coke, i'll look elsewhere next time i visit. it's not about money, it's about absolute principal. and that's just stupid.

It made commuting around Paris quite easy. Also, it is connected directly to a mall which made picking up any forget items quite easy. As others have noted, the drinks at the bar were a little on the pricey side, but the hotel did provide us with a discount coupon for staying at the hotel, and the view at the bar is the best in Paris :)

The only problem was that I was awaken early in the morning because of the extremely loud noise of some other room having maintanance done to it, it was really annoying and it made my sleep routine (jetlag...ugh) even worse because the loud noise did not let me sleep.
