Overall evaluation is a 3.0 at the most. Staff was good but no ice in one of the buildings and the air conditioner was very loud at night. Had to go hunting for a pool towels since they were all used but the staff did bring more when alerted. Breakfast was very fresh and hot in the mornings. I would stay here again but bring ear plugs.

Very relaxing with the sound of the birds and the lovely little hummingbirds zipping about. The pool is very nice and quiet. Definitely a nice escape from the ritzier high end boutiques. Very family friendly and affordable.

The hotel is clean and quiet, the staff was pleasant and the rooms are nice. The pool is large and there are lots of lounges. Also, there are restaurants all around it so it's convenient. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again.

The young man that checked us in was unfriendly and surly. It was awkward finding our room and it was comfortable even though on the smallish side. The hotel is older and of a 3-story 'motel' style. The location was a bit out of the way for us, but there were many restaurants to choose from close by so we ate out and spent little time at the hotel. […] On the positive side, the breakfast in the morning was very good and unusual in that it was made to order so we ordered a cooked breakfast - hash browns and bacon with a poached egg on top. The weather was beautiful! The staff was nice too, but I thought the rooms were smaller then they looked on the website. The spring door to the patio was ripped from the handle and it was difficult to go in and out of the room.

I had a 2nd floor room when I requested a 1st floor. But there was an elevator and we were on the end. It was the best of 5 hotels I have stayed at in the past year in Palm Desert. Couldn't have been better......certainly enjoyed the cooked to order breakfast that was included...only suggestion would be to make the chairs more comfortable....like cushions....in the breakfast area. everyone was extremely personable and truly couldn't do enough for us......

Hotel is nicely maintained but is very old...grounds and pool need as good bit of work. The remodel on the rooms was good, but things like baseboards and door trims weren't addressed, which really reminds you that the hotel is old. Staff was very competent and friendly. This hotel is located close to all the great shops and restaurants on El Paseo. It has a fantastic breakfast. You can order anything you want from the cook--eggs any style, bacon, sausage, pancakes, hash browns--all you want. And they allow pets which makes it our favorite stop-off to or from California.

Booked this hotel last minute and we were pretty happy that they were able to accommodate the fact that we had our dog with us and they also gave us a room that was fairly secluded when my fiance told front desk that I work night shift and could really use a quiet room to sleep in the morning. The place was clean. Bed was comfortable. Loved the fact […] the bedroom and the living area were separated by a door so my fiance was able to work at the hotel in the morning while I slept. I think WiFi was free so that was a big plus since my fiance needed internet access to get some work done. Free Breakfast was pretty good. Wish it was more of a buffet style instead of made to order because the set-up made it seem like we can only order once and it limited the option. I selected this hotel based on other reviews, and we were not disappointed. When I checked in, I was greeted by name, and the front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. This is an older property that has been updated and well-maintained. Each guest room has either a balcony or a patio with chairs and a table. The rooms also have refrigerators. […] Our room was cleaned to perfection each day, and amenities were replenished. As for the cooked to order breakfast...WOW - I have never had a better breakfast included in the price of the room. You find reviews on both extreme ways. We got the negative side. The male staff checked us in with a bad attitude, so we called for the manager to complain from the room, a Spanish accent staff kept talking the second she picked up the phone assuming I was another guest, I told her I was not the one she thought, she still tried to overpower the conversation […] for another five minutes! After I repeated several times to tell her I was not the one she wanted to 'overpower' and needed to talk to the manager, she said the manger was not in the whole long weekend ! I asked her to pass the message to the manager, but I of course didn't hear from him/her. Wow, hard to believe that no manager during a busy long weekend ?! Then the beds were horrible, three of us all got bed pain after one-night stay. You woke up at midnight in the dark, the lights in hallway, bar & bathroom were with motion sensor, you need to turn it back on manually once they were turned off automatically. No lotion is provided and it's rare in Palm Springs. The hot breakfast was good except the coffee was so light. Can't stay there even one night ! Read more

The heating system in the rooms was very loud. It would take at least 5 minutes of running the hot water in the shower or sink before any warm water would come out. However, the hot breakfast was convenient and very good. Overall, our stay was not bad and the price was reasonable.
