For $250 a night I expected more. Had trouble with the cable tv channels and there was a wedding party that was allowed to be loud and rowdy until very late. They should have moved them into the bar instead of the middle of the open area.

Our stay at Embassy Suites was awesome. We had free breakfast every morning, free cocktail hour daily and a free shuttle that will take you near by til 11pm. The staff was kind and always looked out for us and made sure we got rides and even got us a $10 ride back to the airport. They even gave us business cards to call them personally. I enjoyed the hotel, we stayed in the two bedroom two bathroom suite. The rooms were very clean, nice and spacious. The location was great... only a $4 taxi ride to 6th street. I hated that you had to have two different room keys for each bedroom, if you left the master bedroom to go to the living room and it closed behind you, you would have to have […] a key to get back in to the door... but the key was different from the main room key. Stupidly when I was leaving the bedroom to go to the living room to watch TV, because my boyfriend had fallen asleep and I still wasn't tired, i brought the wrong room key ( I brought the one that open-end up the whole room) So when I tried to enter back into our bedroom I couldn't go in. It was about 2am.. so I went down to the desk to ask the concierge if they could make me a new key or open up the room for me. I explained my situation and the man told me he couldn't help me because my name wasn't on the booking. He told me he hoped my boyfriend would wake up soon and to come back down if I had more questions. So basically this guy was saying I don't really care if you have to sleep on the couch. I was completely baffled... my back hurt the next day from having to sleep on the couch.. pretty much a waste of $300 for me since I was the one who paid for it. Pretty disgusted with the service. We had a wonderful time in Austin and staying in Embassy suites our only critic would be that when we stayed the hotel was booked to capacity therefore things were running out at breakfast.

The Stay was everything you expect from Embassy Suites, the shuttle to local restaurants was convenient and punctual, the "manager reception" and breakfast are a little sub par, OK, but nothing special, the cook to order omelette line is good, but lines were way too long, and the toaster doesn't! Service was excellent, rooms very clean and breakfast good. If there was any problem, it was with the design of the suite. Bathroom is part of the bedroom, so 2nd person on couch must go thru bedroom to get to bathroom. Indoor Pool is adequate if you want to tire out your kids., but otherwise useless. The great thing about Embassy Suites is that their rooms are always very comfortable. Instead of cramming you into a 10x10 room, this hotel understands that people like to stay in a hotel to get away from life at home, even if they are travelling on business. Embassy always makes sure to have a bedroom plus a sitting room plus a work space, which makes […] travelling very comfortable. And at first, it looks to offer a very affordable rate with additional free extras, including breakfast and a "happy hour" with appetizers and drinks. However, what is not mentioned, is that basic necessities (for business) are not included in your rate. Parking is $16 per day and Internet is $10 per day. Paying an extra $75 for services one is normally accustomed to receiving for free doesn't sit very well. In theory, you could make this up with the free breakfast, but the hotel doesn't have a restaurant! They have a lounge area with open tables, which accommodates perhaps 30-40 people in a normal eating environment. (There are sofas and lounge chairs that accommodate more, but it is difficult to eat breakfast balancing a plate on your legs). So, while the room was very comfortable, overall the experience was disappointing, and I would not recommend staying at this particular Embassy in the future. Read more

About what we expected. However, it took over an hour to get our food for lunch, and there was only one other table being served at the time. Also, housekeeping in the rooms was not up to par. Coffee was accidentally spilled on the sheets, and the bed was made without changing the sheets.

EXCELLENT hotel. Great location--safe, walking distance to attractions, stores, restaurants. Room was very clean, updated. Breakfast food was plentiful and delicious. Pool and work out room were clean, bright and in good working order. Mgr's reception every evening was a nice touch for drinks and snacks before dinner.

After staying at two other hotels the same weekend, I would have to say that we enjoyed our stay at Embassy Suites the best. Everyone was very kind and courteous. The hotel reminded me of a hotel I stayed at whenever I was little. I loved the "see-through" elevators and all the greenery in the common areas. This hotel is very conveniently located between the SoCo area and the downtown attractions. Room was spacious, but our room overlooked South Congress street and was noisy. The lobby and atrium area decor is vintage 1980s-style. Does not have an outdoor pool. Would probably not stay here again unless price was considerably lower than other places. We had to wait for 90 min for our room, and we arrived at 3pm, not an extraordinary time to tun up. When we did get in the bath still had many long blond hairs on it. The next day they forgot to clean the room until after 7 pm, and still missed the hair. The room was booked so 6 people could sleep after a downtown party. The two beds were fine but the sleeper was awful. We had to call for sheets and pillows and they brought a blanket and a pillow. Otherwise it was clean, the breakfast the next morning was made to order, and the front desk was great.

We had stayed at this hotel a few years back and were happy with it but this time it was better. They shuttled our party of 16 to a restaurant and then picked us up after dinner! The breakfast was great. We will definitely book this hotel again.

Everything was great except for the anticipated breakfast buffet. They were out of everything at 9:30-45. After waiting for a bit, we were expecting hot out of the oven replacements but NONE came. It was unbelievable! So we left to eat breakfast elsewhere. Not impressed with that at all!

Very nice stay. Valet was extremely quick! Only downside was the buffet breakfast was barely warm, but not a problem as we just had the chef make us fresh made to order breakfast instead.

The wireless Internet is absolutely horrible! Spent more time logging in over and over then I did doing work. My husband and I stayed in a King Suite with 2 teenagers on New Years Eve weekend. They brought a comfy rollaway and the couch folded down to a double bed. Roomy. Great location.
