Was a good place to spend the night, beds were very comfortable for my wife and myself. Stayed here because hotels are too expensive on the weekends in Galveston, wasn't very far at all from Galveston. Breakfast was a little more than the usual continental, had some microwavable breakfast sandwiches and pancake sausage sticks. Would stay here again for sure. Hotel was very close to interstate but not right beside it so noise level was very good, several eateries right around it also, as well as shopping centers.

Very clean hotel ! From the clerks to the housekeeping crew all were very friendly and cordial ! Will be visiting again . Price was also reasonable.

Let me forwarn you, the bed is like sleeping on cinder blocks. It is terrible. My husband and I stayed with another couple at this hotel and was very happy with the apperance of the hotel. The problem was that we didn't get to sleep the entire night after a long day of driving 3 hours to get to our hotel after the wedding that we attended. We personally feel as if it would have been way better to spend an extra 20 dollars to stay at HIExpress or Fairfield. Other than that, the front desk attendant was very friendly and helpful in any situation needed. Quick check-in!

"Not a great choice"
Although the hotel was renovated in 2009 it didn't feel clean. Found a huge roach as soon as we entered the room. The staff at check-in asked the same questions about 3 times and check-in took a long time. Had to go down to front desk to exchange our towels as housekeeping was not available after 5pm. "My Pet Hated It"
This hotel was so dreadful, even my dog hated it! In fact, we decided to leave early. The room was dirty, the carpet looked like it had never been cleaned, the air conditioner was noisy, and the overall condition of the property looked like it has seen better days! I couldn't even bring my dog in the hotel lobby. The room served it's purpose but I would not choose this LaQuinta again for the price (unless we had our dogs with us). No frig, blanket on sheets had a chocolate mark or "something" on it, no hot water from shower (not really needed since it is summer in Texas but still....). "Why Stay Elsewhere?"
This is Seawall Blvd in Galveston. Sure you can stay at a 'nicer' resort, but if you're going to be out on the beach all day or go to Schlitterbahn one day (as we did,) there's no reason to spend extra on your hotel. La Quinta is just right for people who want to walk across the Blvd to beach it, walk back to the room, shower, head out to dinner, then […] go back and crash out and do it all over again the next day. We stayed two nights. The housekeeper came by the morning after our first night and I told her we'd be gone in 15 minutes. We got back to our room about 10pm that night and our room hadn't been cleaned..beds unmade..no clean towels..trashcans still full and unemptied. It wasn't a bad stay, we just expected more. When we arrived our room was clean though small and minimally comfortable for anything other than sleeping. We were pleasantly surprised by the visitors and location. We felt very safe staying in the room and walking back and forth from the beach and boardwark at all times of the day. This could be a nice motel, but he staff is horrible! We were there for 3 days and the beds only got made 1 of them. The room was never really cleaned. You could tell a maid had been there, and done a couple of things, but the beds were not made and the trash was not taken out. The iron did not work in the room and when we called to get a new one, it was never brought. The TV only worked some of the time, but kept going out. Our biggest complaint was parking. We would have preferred a parking sticker for hotel guests. It looked like anyone going to the beach could have been taking up the hotel parking spots. We were on the first floor facing the gulf and still had a good view. The beach directly in front of hotel was rocky but just a few yards over was the sandy beach. "Go Someplace Else"
We checked in and first thing we noticed was the trash pile we were going to have to look at our whole stay. Then went into the room and it was disgusting, to say the least. I by no means expected the Ritz-Carlton, but this room wasn't even fit for a place to lay my head for the night to get back on the road in the morning. We left there called Hotels.com […] and got our reservation transferred to the Quality Inn and Suites. It didn't have an outdoor pool, but it does have very nice rooms for the money and close to lots of things on Seawall. Go there. "Dissappointing for the price."
Great location. Staff friendly. Outside of hotel is unexcusably dirty! Needs major maintenance. They charge plenty and stay steadily booked during the busy season to afford some upkeep on this place! Rooms are comfortable but not clean deep down. The rooms also need some maintence. We saw a big cockroach on the bathroom ceiling, which should not have […] happened!!! I know it's summer and it's Texas but there should not be roaches in the room!!! The breakfast was what I expected, so that was good. The only complaint there is to many people for that small area. Day staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. A/c did not work in room so we could not sleep. Hotel was sold out so moving was not an option. We were swimming in the outdoor pool at 930.
