My husband and I frequent Somers Point at least three to four times a year with and without our family. If this Marriott stays the same, we will be coming back again and again. Our room was not exactly what we asked for in that we had a handicapped shower that we had problems working with. Also the sliding glass door was not working properly but a request to a maintenance man solved both of those items. When we arrived at 4:40(check in time was 4 pm) we were told our room was not ready but we could have this room with the […] handicap shower. That we accepted but I do not know why it -the room we reserved a month ago- was not ready.Otherwise a nice location to the shore for our family. It was ok. Didn't have breakfast on the second day because the first breakfast was less than desireable. Layout of the food was spread out in three different rooms causing a lot of browsing. Most all hot things were cold.

We were in Jersey for our son's wedding. I know we had at least 6 rooms between us all, in the hotel the weekend of 6-2-2012. We ourselves has a suite. We had plenty of room for several family members to come and talk and just have a good time and hang out. The room's in our suite were large with a bed room in the loft area with a tv and full bathroom. […] On the main floor was a Murphy bed and the couch had a pull out bed also. We had 2 sets of tables and chairs enough seating for 8 around them, couch, chair and another tv and another full bathroom on the main floor. A full kitchen, fri, stove, microwave, pots pans dish ware it was all there. We were all kidding around saying that this room was bigger that our daughters apartment when she was in school. Joking aside this room was bigger. I can not say enough about the staff, all were helpful and very nice. The breakfast they had in the morning's was so good there was something for everyone's taste. You name it they had it. Several in the wedding party stayed in some of the hotels on the board walk but they did not compare to what we had at this hotel. I would stay here again in a minute. Super place to stay, clean rooms, wonderful staff, great food at very fair price. It was only about 5-8 minutes from the boardwalk. An A plus in my book. Betty Read more

This our second stay at this hotel and we loved every minute!! I travel a lot in general and am fairly familar with hotel offerings. For being near the shore and on a busy road, the rooms seem very secluded. The kitchenette ammenities are super convenient and the fireplace makes for a relaxed setting. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We received a free room upgrade (very nice). The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Close enough to Atlantic City and also not far from Cape May. Everything was fine -- no complaints -- would stay there again.

The Residence Inn by Marriott Atlantic City was very cozy, clean, and conveniently located within 3 miles of Ocean City. I wished I could have stayed longer. The bathrooms are old and in need of renovation. The bed was old, the air conditioning was loud and difficult to control, too hot/ too cold. The breakfast area was too crowded and the floor was dirty with food that needed to be picked up. The breakfast food was cold. Good hotel, but It is starting to show some decay. Wallpaper coming off, loose outlet on the floor near the sofa for floor lamp. However, the reservation crew and ladies keeping the breakfast area are courteous. There is a lot of construction in the area that makes it annoying getting around. Not too far from Ocean City, Margate and Atlantic City.

Went in "off season" and room was not the cleanest. The room had a musty smell. Was not as bad after we went to local store and bought candles to burn. Treated my girlfriend to a romantic getaway, to celebrate her birthday. Rather than go down the casinos, in Atlantic City, she requested to go somewhere laid back, with an outdoor pool. The pool was not large, but it was more than spacious enough, to cool off the guests utilizing it. The rooms facing the parking lot are quieter than the rooms facing […] the pool and basketball/tennis court. A generous, complimentary breakfast buffet was served daily. Free Wi-Fi and a computer in the lobby, for guest use, were available. The manager and staff were friendly and professional. The Residence Inn exceeded our expectations and was truly a home away from home, complete with a full kitchen. We were so impressed, we look forward to staying there again. Read more
