Our stay at the Ramada Plaza Waikiki was a very pleasant one. The front desk was very friendly & helpful. And our room attendant, Angela on the 12th floor, kept our room immaculate. We did have to pay for parking, which we found out is the norm and there was no complimentary breakfast, which would be a big improvement if offered. The parking attendant […] was so friendly. He had all kinds of helpful info for us. We found a $3.99 breakfast down the block at Snapper's that worked great for us. We didn't try the restaurant in the same building. Complimentary computer use was also very helpful with planning our daytrips and printing our boarding passes. Laundry facilities were very sufficient. The Ramada Plaza Waikiki and treated us great during our stay. For the price, I think we got a great deal. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location and very welcoming staff!"
My family is in town for the Honolulu marathon. The location of the hotel is central and the staff is very helpful/kind/accommodating. The decor in the room is a bit outdated but everything's functional and the clean. The family is able to have fun and get a good sleep before the race and mostly a good rest afterward! Given the price, the family would […] be happy to stay in Ramada Plaza Waikiki again. It's highly recommended to all travelers out there. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The room was convenient but had a couple of maintenance issues. The toilet would run off and on all the time, the blow dryer died and the lock for the bathroom door didn't work.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Better than Expected"
I liked this hotel much more than I thought I was going to. Word of Warning, however ... it is NOT where the Hotels.com map says it is - it is 3 blocks away on Ala Moana Blvd (not the side street by the yacht harbor). There is not restaurant IN the hotel, but there is IHOP almost next door and within a block, McDonalds and a local eatery which serves […] breakfast, lunch and dinner. I got a room with a balcony which I think was about $10 more a night, but with the balcony (and, as I understand it, ONLY with the balcony) comes a fridge and microwave which was really nice. They have FREE WIFI and are probably the only hotel in the area that does. The hotel is within walking distance (long walk, but definitely do-able) of both Waikiki and the Ala Moana Shopping center. I especially liked the parking lot which was accessible off the back street so you don't have to use Ala Moana Blvd which is a divided road in front of the hotel. The parking lot was small but never full. Parking is expensive, but they take $5 off per night if you are part of the Wyndom/Ramada Club and $10 off a night if you are part of a convention - although I am not sure if you have to prove that or not. I usually stay at the Moana Hotel but I must say, this was a nice change and I enjoyed it. I would definitely stay here again! Oh - also, the public bus stops right in front of the hotel, if you don't have a car. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Ramada Plaza Waikiki Dear Damaris, Thank you very much for your kind comments. We are very happy that you were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed your stay with us. The location of our hotel is conveniently located as it is close to stores and restaurants, as well as Ala Moana Shopping Center. There is a restaurant in front of our hotel as well as IHOP next door to the property. The parking fee is comparable to other hotels in the area, but yes, the parking lot is conveniently located in the back of the hotel. Please come back and stay with us again soon! "OK, but just."
The Ramada hotel is in a good location with access to beaches & shopping, also a nice pool area. The hotel is clean and well cared for but the furnishings are showing there age & the popularity of the place is taking it's toll. We are in the process of trying to refresh the property - I hope you noticed the setup for the free coffee, hot water and cold water downstairs in the lobby area? We also have switched florists - the orchids are now really beautiful at the property. Little improvements but more to come... "Waikiki Hidden Gem"
I usually think of the Ramada when traveling by car, with my kids., but this one is a cut above. It's like they took a condo building and freshly remodeled it into modern hotel rooms. "Nice off beach hotel"
All in all the week long stay at the Ramada Waikiki was good. The rooms are on the small side if more than two people are staying in the double bed room. The bathroom is average and clean. The rooms are dated, but comfortable. The beds were adequate for our needs. The hotel staff wasn't unfriendly, but not showing the Aloha we expect when in Hawai'i. […] Parking staff was nice and helpful. The parking lot is a pain anf very small. Parking is cheaper here than at many other Waikiki hotels. Sign up for windam rewards and get $5 per day of the parking rate. Laundry facilities are a bit pricey, but were clean and quite nice to have on site. We use a hotel in Hawai'i for showering and sleeping, so this fit the bill for affordable in a decent area. Do not eat, shop, or hang out in Waikiki.... get out and see the beauty of the island. Response by Ramada Plaza Waikiki Aloha Sarah, 4 stars?! You are the best. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. Warmest Aloha, Pattie Furtado
Ok room kind of old but was ok for me since I spent most of the time on the beach. Towels could use some fabric softer and a little more water pressure in the shower. However still a decent place. Closer to magic island (great localish spot) than actual Waikiki beach. Quick access via bus (#8) to Waikiki beachGenuine Expedia guest review

"When Will the Construction Work Be Completed?"
I spent 6 nights at Ramada Waikiki. It was such a wonderful experience and unforgettable trip. However, I want to leave a few comments about the construction work going on just right next to the hotel. First of all, I want to let the readers know that I enjoyed everything else about the hotel. The staff was friendly, and the facilities were clean. So, […] the construction work begins exactly at 6:30 am. The sound of bulldozers kicking their engines and construction workers yelling at one another could be clearly heard from my room. At around 7:20 am, you will begin hearing the sounds of iron bars crashing each other and making even more disrupting sounds. Otherwise, I want to say thank you for the staff members for their friendliness and kindness. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The room was a nice size and clean. The lobby is very welcoming. Depending on your room location you can catch a glimpse of the ocean behind the Hilton Village area or the Ala Moana strip. Response by Ramada Plaza Waikiki Aloha Ree: Thank you for your comments. It sounds like we met your expectations and I'm sorry the water was depleted rather quickly in the lobby. The staff kept coming in while we were in the room in the morning.. I would answer if they would have knocked but they didn't and just opened the door assuming I wasn't there. And my room smelled like burnt rubber.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Ramada Plaza Waikiki Aloha MIke: I am so sorry that housekeeping did not knock - that is definitely not our policy. I've reminded our housekeeping staff to please knock harder. The smell in your room was from the new blackout curtains - I've been hearing this complaint recently and discovered what it was=- we are making an effort to replace the new curtains since they the "new" oder is rather strong. The hotel itself is a bit out of date and could use some TLC. Myself and two friends stayed here because it was cheaper than on the beach and we weren't going to be spending a lot of time in the hotel. Pool wasn't bad and neither was the fitness room. Response by Ramada Plaza Waikiki Aloha CC: Our pool is open from 9am and the sun hits it until the building next door blocks the sun around 2pm - which is actually a good thing since over-exposure can be harmful. "Good hotel, fair price"
This is a nice basic hotel. Everything was clean and comfortable but not super upscale. They give you a discount for breakfast at an attached restaurant that is not run by the hotel. Ramada Plaza Waikiki (RPW) delivers very good value for the price. "Old Hotel Near the Beach"
It was a tired/old hotel of a 2 level but a low 3 star a best. The room was a flash back to the 70's.
