Older hotel. Hard to get comfortable room temperature, could not identify thermostat in room. Location close to airport made catching flight out in the morning less stressful. My husband and I took my sister and her kids to visit the Self-Realization Shrine Lake (I sugguest those in search on spiritual guidance take a look). The hotel was a short drive away from everything we wanted to see and walking distance from great restaurants. The would definitely come back.

The staff were not informative, the elevator was shut down and you had to wait twenty minute for a security person come to take up the stair. I wouldn't wish that stay on anybody if ti was the last place to stay. I don't know how it has 3.2 rating. Maybe only one person gave a review.

Great staff. Clean Room. Great location. NO PETS a MUST for us! Restaurant had good food and variety. This is an older hotel... so don't expect something NEW. It was an ok, stay people where great, we had a little insident with the cleanliness, but the hotel has a good relax vibe in the front, the back needs more lights, which makes it look a little creapy trying to get to the pool, but a preatty good stay over all.

Rooms clean only their Elevators take forever & they were doing maintenance. On them very inconvenient. Also when checking in the front desk did not tell me that we had to pay for parking. Only found out when we checked out, my husband is handicapped .

Warm welcome and the shuttle service is continuous every 15 min or so- you don't need to call and wait for hours... The elevators were really dodgy. The room wasn't bad at all, TV doesn't have many channels, they don't have too many outlets, but it's good for someone just traveling and staying a couple nights. The elevators take forever, and the staff is fairly rude. I ordered room service and the gentleman who brought it asked for a tip before I even had a chance to give him one....

Tub had dirty water bubbling up the drain from the room below/above showering. Room was large. Old tv. Air vent only blew 1 temperature of air, no way to control it. Shuttle was convenient and good service from drivers. Bed was comfortable. Would not go out of room/hotel at night alone!

No Frills and noisy. Not the hotels fault that people need to run in the halls or have arguments in their room -- but i shouldn't have to hear it in mine. Needed a night sleep prior to a LAX Departure and didn't get much of it. Rooms inside look their age, not even any coffee in the morning. Price was ok and the staff was friendly.

Perfect location on arrival or before departure from LAX. Close to shopping malls and the beach. Relatively close to major LA attractions. Our stay was tainted by malfunctioning air condition. Additionally, sleep was disturbed by heavy traffic on the neighbouring street.

This is not a good hotel. It is very old and run down. The staff is not helpful and doesnt really care. The rooms do not have air conditioning in January. There is a long walk to get to the remote tower that you get when you book on Hotels.com. Wont stay here again.

The Hacienda has a great location. It is an older hotel, and while I was there, the fire alarms were being tested, and one of the elevators in the south tower was not working. The people who work there are nice, and there's a no cost shuttle to and from LAX.

Ok, so it was the Expedia huge discount that brought me to notice the Hacienda, and I was a bit skeptical, but thought, "Hey, it's only one night... I can rough it if the photos or descriptions don't match...". Well, the reality, is that it was actually better than I had thought. I would stay there again. It's convenient, not too far from the airport […] and Manhattan Beach. Has a decent coffee shop with terrific egg/pancake platters, and the staff seemed friendly. Take it from me, who has stayed in a lot of Black Flag roach motels... this is a better-than-expected Holiday Inn Express. Read more

We were very disappointed. The only elevator that kind of worked was the service one. Our remote didn't work, the bed was lumpy and squeaky, and the air conditioner did not work. The entrance and lobby is lovely. Cleanliness: the previous hotel guest keys were left on the desk and the bedspread appeared rumpled, which led me to believe that someone occupied the room after housekeeping's visit. I did not contact Housekeeping or Management about the issue. I found it a little strange that the lamps were all unplugged. Perhaps […] they are trying to go green--ok, no problem, I can live with that. Air Conditioning Unit - the fan works, but it did not keep the room cool and I didn't dare leave my windows open overnight because the adjacent room's window was in close proximity that someone could have climbed over the railings--even in mid January (70 degrees). The Front Desk was professional when checking in and out. Maintenance: it was more about a lot of little things that one observes when a property is not well maintained-- it was the cosmetic dings here and there in the room--large black scuff mark on the wall, bathroom --peeling Sheetrock at the floor level amongst several items I won't mention. Good location - 24 hour well stocked chain grocery store, Starbucks, etc. right across the street, relatively safe neighborhood. Read more
