Everything was to be expected for a lower fare hotel - but there was an additional charge that was not advertised (until you arrive) - they charge an additional $11.00 for parking your car (and you park it yourself). Close to LAX. Desk clerk was nice but forgot to tell me what my room number was - had to go back down stairs to ask - and had to wait while she was talking to the manager. Room itself was basic, but a little run down - there were spots on the wall where paint was peeling, but nothing really out of sorts.

Please, do NOT spend a dime here! I had originally booked 3 days at this dump just to find out that they were doing construction. I had asked the front desk clerk, who was clueless, what time do they start construction. She stated that it was from 8-5, only to find out they started around 7:30-7:45. Normally when I stay at a hotel, I sleep peacefully, but unfortunately, I was awaken by power tools. The staff was not that empathetic and one of the idiots told me that I should have known they were doing construction when I had made my reservations. I had interrupted the idiot and told her if I had known, I would not waste my money staying somewhere like this. This place is horrible, unprofessional, and a complete rip off.

I was only there on a layover. I used the hotel a few years back for the same reason and found that it's close proximity to the airport and airport transfers were perfect for my needs. The huge amount of fast food restaurants at the strip mall were also convenient as I was traveling alone and didn't have a need for anything over the top. I understand that the hotel is under renovation and will be be lovely in the future, (I'm sure the prices will reflect that as well). The place is old and worn, but is convenient and inexpensive. I would stay there again, but not for an extended amount of time.

It was shocking. When we booked we were not informed that they were busy refurbishing. So nothing was available or in use. Building and maintenance sounds all the time. No coffee in room or hairdryer est.

This hotel had so many inconveniences. They charged 11 bucks extra on top of your stay to only park in back of 7-11 because of the construction. No close parking. Service was decent. But it could have been better if the staff offered free parking. The long walk to the hotel while it was raining was impossible to appreciate the hotel stay. Room was decent. But the water flow in the bathroom horrible. Very slow and the sink the clogged up. I give it a 2 star hotel. Hotel could have been better if there was feee parking and the room was more up to date with the tv and furniture and light fixtures.

Once you get done with checking in to your room you should unload your luggage in the small area designated for pick up/drop off (this is easier/the best choice for those families with kids) and after taking all of your things to your room, then park your car across the street (since you are non-the less paying $11 for parking over night). Our room was clean and even though it is furnished with out-dated bedsheets and the carpet needs replacing...it didn't smell, and the housekeeper came in every day to clean/tidy up. We were there for 4 days and never had an issue, and since we really only stayed over night (not there during the day) the construction going on didn't bother us. There is a dance room attached to the hotel that we noticed was busy every night of our stay, and the food served at the restaurant was only 'ok'. I could recommend this to someone who is going to stay at this place for a short amount of time or that is only going to be around at night.

Horrible experience! Entire hotel under construction/renovation. Using very old rooms with outlet covers hanging off walls, TV from 1985. Bed very old/used. Towels thin. Room smelled musky. NS sits away from walls, extension cords used to light lamp that had cobwebs. Would not have stayed if it wasn't a midnight check-in and had to be up by 7am. Designated parking is far away from lobby. Disputing cc charges!

it was a stop and sleep. It was quite they are remodeling so it was a pain for the parkinglot having to cross the street. lobby is on the the far end of the hotel but on that note there is signs!! To direct you were to go. over all service was okay.

The entire experience was a let down and frustrating. Signs were not adequately posted to direct incoming guests where to park, once I was told to move to the 4 hour parking on the street, it was full with the hotel shuttle bus and taxis. The staff was not friendly or forthcoming with information. My room number had no indication as to what floor it was on. The room was dirty, no dial to adjust the temperature on the thermostat, no ice bucket in room, ants in the room, need I go on?

The hotel floor was coming off the ground the place smelled like pee. getting to the lobby is a maze and the place just looks scary and half abandoned. However the 24 hour shuttle was convenient and the staff was friendly. Once in my room it was like another hotel entirely. comfortable, clean, even had a decent shower.

Air conditioning did not work, it would blow hot air. The mattress was so old we could feel the springs sticking out made relaxing very difficult. Carpets were exremely dirty.

Waited forever to be picked up at the airport shuttle. When the shuttle arrived it was trashed and very old. The hotel is in the process of a renovation and I would highly recommend waiting until it's completed before booking your stay.

Well, I was there on Jan 5th. 2015. I stayed for only one night and then I ran away! The place is on constructions and Expedia didn't mention that... so when I got there the reception guy told me that the hotel is on constructions. The rooms: I entered two different rooms and they were smells so bad!! Even the quality of the beds are not good.

My stay at the Hacienda Hotel was great. I think the only thing I can think of was that I didn't have a bucket for my ice. No big deal, I just called the front desk and it was brought up within 20mins.

Another night to stay near the airport! Searched up the area, turned out this was the best value for the night, so we booked! This was our second visit to the hotel so we knew what to expect. Had all the basics, great service attitude at front desk! However bathroom is lacking the essentials - toothbrush and toothpaste etc! Also it would be nice to have slippers for your guests! Overall, decent place to stay a night!

The first room provided in 2nd floor was stinky (older carpet and closed to sunlight) and was provided another room in the top floor on request. The second room: 1. Had no temp control feature 2. Could smell cigarette smoke in the room. Our second and last night sleep was disturbed by cigarette smoke from outside or other rooms. 3. Shower head was old and blocked. Hence no water pressure to take proper shower. No action taken despite complaint. 4. Phone on the room was not working.

I was here for an overnight stay, on a travel that left me stranded in LA for the night. I wasn't expecting much, I just wanted a clean bed and bathroom and found that here. The room got very cold at night and there was Jo thermostat in the room. The hotel sent me a blanket. They also did not tell me the wifi password on check in, which I did not like. Got it as 3am along with blanket

Although this Hotel did mention that they busy with alterations/building and that there will be no pool or whirlpool we had no problem with that..Our room air conditioner did not work though and when asked about it the reception was extremely rude and everything was blamed on the building alterations. They also could not find our booking until we eventually showed it to them on their own list of bookings by Expedia. Bottom-line be careful when you see big discounts at Hotels or don't stay when they building. Expedia should also give customers a warning about this. Very unpleasant stay in a hot sticky room.

Worst hotel stay ever. Our check in took 4 hours and guests had to sleep iin lobby. Hotel is under construction and dirty and noisy all over. Smelly room. They checked us into a room with someone already. Unreal!! Bed mattress was decades old. Beds are less than 6 feet long. Worst hotel stay ever.

No air. I could not breathe. I was literally sweating. No air at all. Only heat. I am always cold, too. Toilet would not flush. The hallway/walk leading up to my room smelled really bad, like mildew.

The hotel is minutes away from LAX, which was extremely convenient. However, when I arrived, there was a line that almost reached the entrance, with only two people behind the counter. After checking in, I learned that the parking lot was two blocks down and was $11. Not a terrible price but it should have been included in the reservation. The hotel is under construction at the moment, and being woken up by a jackhammer was certainly a surprise. The check out was just as bad as the check in. I probably wouldn't stay here again.

The pictures online looked amazing. When we got there the lobby was nice but when we walked into the hallway they had construction going on and couldnt even walk. The elevator is super small and it is in bad quality. The room itself looked like a small box. There was no room and everything in it was old. The lights kept turning off and on. I would jot recommend this hotel to a family staying here unless they dont mind a really small box of a room with a high window. Maybe just a couple.
