"Nice hotel, but has some problems."
Well, I spent $560 for 2 nights. It was ok, taking in consideration the time of year. However, I'd assume some services for my money. It turns hotel provides no parking. It's not like they don't have one, it's just it operated by "outside vendor" and it costs $18/day... Then in a room there was couple of bottles of water, with price tag on it, $3.50 […] per bottle. Internet was offered at a very high rate, so we did not order or use it. Vanity area is too small , not enough room for two people, barely enough space for one. Staff was very friendly and nice. "Ease of access to shops, restaurants, downtown"
Access to the MTS Trolley provides convenient transportation to shops, Little Italy, Gas Lamp, Convention Center, etc. Don't need to worry about parking. Couldn't have been more perfect for our short family vacation. Hotel was beautiful, service outstanding, Mission Valley mall across the street and Fashion Valley a quick drive. "convenience location to surrounding areas"

"comfortable but far from downtown"
overpriced for location, it is not close to downtown or any lively area, definitely need a car to get around. No nice views either, at least from the 7th floor, mostly freeways. They charge $18 a day for parking, which is outrageous! Same goes for the prices they charge for breakfast (was not even room service), so beware. Also they have those annoying […] rooms with the adjoining door in between. I was unlucky to have some extremely rude neighbors in the adjoining room who kept talking very loudly till 3 a.m. in the morning and refused to shut up despite multiple visits from hotel security. I eventually had to move to another room at 3 a.m. to get some sleep. Ask for robes, they will give you plenty. It's ridiculous that you want money for wifi. It doesn't cost your company anything and became a big deal. I felt we were being nickel and dimed. Public libraries give you free wifi and most restaurants. I'll never stay at another Marriott.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I really have zero complaints about this hotel except they still charge guests for in-room Wi-Fi / Internet access. And it's EXPENSIVE - one night is half what I pay for my monthly Internet at home! "Good hotel, but thin walls"

We made reservations more than a week from our stay, so we were surprised when we got there and found out there were no rooms available. "Convenient for Holiday Visit to Family"
This hotel is beautiful in its public spaces. We were also very glad to find a package which included free parking, free internet and free breakfast for two for our entire stay. The location was convenient to our relative's house. Many children were there for soccer tournaments, which meant lots of running in the hallways, and yelling outside the door. […] There was much noise at the pool in the afternoon/evening, and it bled into the room. Earphones or Earplugs helped. Quiet by 10 pm or so. Biggest problem was the toilet. It took forever to re-fill and was extremely loud when filling. Was not powerful at flushing either. Grout was missing around the tub spout. May be fixed by now, since we reported these deficiencies.
