I stayed for 5 nights. Room was clean and comfortable. My room overlooked H Street. I was not bothered by any noise and slept well. Breakfast was good. "Close by the National Mall"
Its good location in Chinatown with the supermarket and Metro station nearby. Its also close walk to the National Mall with all the museums. But the room we stayed in was facing the elevator. So every time someone uses it, it dings once it opens its doors and dings again when it closes its doors. "Location is their best amenity"
When I pulled into valet parking, no one came to my vehicle. After walking around the corner and down the street, I finally found a valet. Unfortunately, they had no more parking spots so I was told to find my own parking. Once I got into my room, I was surprised how small the room was. I paid almost $300 for a room with a king size bed and there was […] barely enough room to get into the bed. The pictures shown would make a customer think they were getting a nice sized room. This room had the bed in it and that was it. I literally had to turn sideways to get between the bed and the wall. I was very disappointed. The room was not very clean either. I was able to write my name in the dust. The "complimentary" lotion in the bathroom had been used before and was almost empty. As for the staff, they were not the best either. I went to purchase a drink from the store. When I went to the front desk to pay for the drink, no one would wait on me. There were two staff members chatting about personal issues who just ignored me. They had just finished eating pizza and their leftovers and box were laying on the counter. Finally, I woman who had been cleaning up the lobby area came and helped me. It only took ten minutes for me to get my drink. The only issues I had with the hotel was that there was no parking at the hotel so you either had to pay for the valet or park some where else and walk to the hotel. The other issue I had was that the hotel provides free breakfast which was decent but there was not nearly enough space for everyone to sit and eat. Finally, I am fairly certain, although […] I can not prove it, that wherever the valet parked my car paint or some other kind of chemical dripped onto my car that essentially ruined the paint and I had to use fine grain sand paper to remove it creating more damage. Booked it online, it looked like the photos and everyone was friendly and we asked for a room on the 4th floor as our friends where on that floor and they warned us we got the closet it wasn't that bad rm 409 is small but do able. Breakfast was good typical eggs and waffles. Loved the location. Warning concierge is super helpful but if they recommend […] a van get the exact price settled before you get into it and get it in writing. Our driver Greg wouldn't say yes or no when we tried to figure out a price. We had no idea how much beyond my traveling companion saying $5each plus tip. Which turned out to be $15 each and he was scolding me for not running my tour group properly. I wasn't the leader and none of us had done that before. Took son to see Kings of Leon at arena and to see DC sights. After concert we were in our hotel room in literally 5 minutes!
