"Wonderful location. Can walk many places"
The hotel was just wonderful. The renovation is lovely. The location, across from Gramercy Park is perfect. This is such a nice neighborhood, with Union Square close, as well as many fine restaurants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Value 5 Star Hotel: Chic and Charming"
It was a great stay, at a charming and lively hotel. Mailino one of the best restaurants in Manhattan. Staff was gracious. Must single out Wayne the doorman/Bellman -- he gets 10 stars. I actually asked to speak to the General Manager, Jacob, who I think was surprised to be summoned actually to receive thanks rather than the many complaints GM's are […] heir to in any hotel. I stayed at the Gramercy Park Hotel for about 2 weeks on my last trip to manhattan and I absolutely loved it. The restaurant has great good down stairs and I had the time of my life at The Rose Bar each time I went! Especially great service from Jonas!!! Will definitely be back on my next tripGenuine Hotels.com guest review
very pretty room, facing the park. was a small room, but had everything that we needed and it was very warm.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very good hotel"
Very good hotel. Only thing we did not like was food served in terrace restaurant for breakfast. Thought breakfast was rather poor compared to food at four seasons or mandarian oriental hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
The door men are incredible. The bartenders are friendly. Some of the host/front desk staff can come across as a bit stuck up. The crowd in the restaurants and the bar are stuck up scenesters so just be aware. Having access to the park is the main perk here.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel tucked in a quiet little neighborhood"
Adjacent to Grammercy Park at the end of Lexington Ave, the hotel is in a quiet area yet at the same time within walking distance to so much. The rooms and suites are outstanding, and the hotel bars, while expensive, are wonderful to experience. A gem in the heart of NYC.Genuine Expedia guest review
WE COULD NOT SLEEP UNTIL 3 OR 5 AM DUE TO VERY LOUD MUSIC AT THE HOTEL'S BAR OR CLUBGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel had an art gallery in it and a very helpful information book. We ate at the terrace cafe for breakfast and had cocktails at the bar the evening before. All employees were exceptionally accommodating.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great atmosphere. I have stayed there often and gotten past the bit of attitude and scene and just thoroughly enjoy the placeGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Chic and Uniquie Urban Retreat"
This place was special in decor, service, and overall unique vibe. From start to finish, we were treated extremely well. Our concierge was well informed and very comfortable fullfilling our requests for an IPOD to dinner and club reservations. Our bellman held a very small lost item of mine for two days until he was back on duty and presented it to […] me as we were leaving!. Guests have their own private park to tour right in the heart of the city. Rooms are very quiet and the elevators speed you up to your room and open effortlessly and without a "ding" as to not disturb others. Very Hip and expensive (but in NYC, what's not expensive?) but worth it all the way. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great hotel, but..."
The hotel is wonderful and the location is great, particularly with access to the beautiful Gramercy Park. We had a ladies' weekend, and had a lot of fun. The hotel would be great for couples as well. The hotel bar was fun, but the Terrace Restaurant was only alright. We went to the Terrace for brunch at 10:30 with a reservation through the concierge, […] but since the concierge cannot make reservations at the restaurant, there was a little confusion when we arrived. We were sat within 10 minutes, but overall the service was slow, but everyone was very nice. The food was not fantastic, good, but not what I would expect from a high-end hotel. As for the rooms, the size was nice for three people and all the amenities in the room were wonderful (i.e. bath wash, soap, and such). The comfort of the bed was only ok. I am surprised they do not have sleep comfort or less lumpy beds. The iPod dock was a nice addition and helpful as one of our group forgot their iPhone charger. The cleanliness was really wonderful and the housekeepers were really nice. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel review - Gramery Park Hotel"
The hotel was nice and clean, however, very dark - lighting in the rooms, hallways and even elevators was very dim. Also, there were no bureaus in the room so nowhere to store clothes or personal items other than hanging clothes in the closet. Limited outlets for use of iron also.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Funky and Solid"
Love the feel and decor. Staff very friendly and accommodating. First rate. Don't forget to enjoy the park. Quintessential NYC. (I'm an "ex"-NY'r)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beware of chimney fires!"
Was on the seventh floor and they had a fire on the top floor around 2AM. Checked they internet and it happened last year also. Check it yourself on the net. They spent the next day and night cleaning the top floor and kept us up the entire night moving furniture around and mopping up the water. No one at the desk cared. Also they charge $17 a day for […] wireless service. But they do not tell you there is a charge. There are better choices in NY. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"dont stay at the Gramercy Park Hotel"
The only good thing about the hotel was the location and the decor of the room. Besides that it was over priced, they suggested a horrible restaurant, and the bar downstairs played music so loud until four am on week nights that we were up all night bc of the rattling walls and we could even sing along with the music it was so loud. When we complained […] they sent is up ear plugs. I was extremely disappointed that I payed so much to be treated so disrespectfully. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"The Gramercy Park Hotel"
Low key glamor. Beautiful neighborhood, lovely service, good food, cool bar scene. It was perfect for my needs. I chose a higher level room category and they upgraded me to a suite and I could not have been happier. I will stay there gain.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"luxury with drawbacks"
Gramercy Park Hotel seems somewhat past it's prime. Incredibly dry air, impossible to control temperature in room and, at least on the 3rd floor, you might as well be in the disco down stairs. There was no business center, and wifi was 16 bucks a day, so it was frustrating to attempt to use my computer with a wireless card as phone reception was very […] poor. Visually attractive, very small room. I would not choose to stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel in a great location"
This was a nice hip hotel without all the attitude. Love the location near quite gramercy park but close to everything.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lots to like....."
We stayed here over the Christmas weekend and generally found the hotel to be comfortable and pleasant. An interesting plus is the artwork on display, primarily in the lobby. Two drawbacks: our room while comfortable lacked reasonable storage space for clothing. Second, the service generally seemed a bit off, particularly in the restaurant in the hotel. […] Our waiter at breakfast didn't notice that both of us left virtually all of our oatmeal. When he brought the check, I commented that it had been inedible, which basically prompted him to argue the point.....clueless. That said, I'd probably go back. It's a great location and some of the small decorating features of the hotel are really great. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"More form than function, but a fun stay"
Definitely a hotel with attitude, although the bellmen were very friendly and helpful. The pour perfume through the hallways, so the smells are overwhelming, and the dim lighting annoying. Room was delighful, if a bit cramped. Wi fi was spotty, and the only frustrating room event was not enough outlets to plug in phones, etc. Definitely not for the […] serious business traveler. I have stayed at dozens of ny hotels and was eager anticipating something special based on the reputation of this hotel. Any room should be reveiwed on the dynamic aspects vs static aspects. The a/c felt comfortable after a couple of adjustments. The power aspects were hard to find and there was a single plug in the bedroom and a normal one in the bathroom. Finally, […] the water pressure was awful. The pressure was weak and the hot and cold pressure jumps were downright dangerous. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Charming Hotel in Charming Area"
The hotel was great. It has a bohemian chic that is hard to find in the larger chain hotels. The adjacency to Gramercy Park and the surrounding area of GP/Flatiron/Union Square is one of New York's most vibrant neighborhoods with great restaurants, shops, and live music clubs. One stand out is the room service. It may have some of the best room service […] food ever. In particular, the room service features many items from the signature restaurant Maialino's. "Great Boutique Hotel"
This hotel has very distinct character, not your usual Hilton, etc. The room was exoticallyh decorated in early 20th century art deco style.Genuine Expedia guest review
Overall was very nice for a night or two stay. Wonderful location for those who don't want to be in the 'middle of it all.' Just felt that the service in the rooftop restaurant was really lacking for a higher end hotel. They made me wait for a table at breakfast (early on a Sunday morning) when there were tables available and then no one came to 'introduce' […] and take my drink order. When my drink was finally brought they still didn't ask me for my food order and I had to tell them I wanted to order. All in all felt somewhat invisible. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"gramercy park hotel"
my new favorite nyc hotel. fabulous!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel property is very well decorated and maintained, especially when you can remember what it had deteriorated into a few years ago. The restaurant was very good and the Terrace was peaceful respite for breakfast. The rooms are small but well appointed in a Moroccan theme. The bathroom was tiny and poorly lit--impossible to put makeup on! The […] best part of the hotel was being able to use the private park across the street--it's a beautifully kept traditional park with many flowering plants and plenty of benches. I stayed at the GPH the night before my wedding and it was quite a treat. I didn't mention anything to them when I made the reservation, but my wedding planner had dropped my wedding dress off in the afternoon and when I showed up they'd upgraded me to a larger room and had even given me a yummy cake! The service was professional, quick and thoroughly […] nice. The hotel was really quiet -- I had a view of the street and there was very little traffic and no noise, even though it was a Friday night. The amenities were also top quality and the lobby was lovely. I live nearby. If you're from out of town and looking to get away from touristy New York, this area is a good choice. There are big familiar stores clustered around Union Square, but it's also a real neighborhood with real restaurants and stores and delis. It's easy to get to the big attractions, but also easy to ignore them and just blend in with the locals. Union Square is a major subway stop with a ton of taxis and it's easy to get around town from there. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect Romantic New York Stay"
This hotel is magical. The atmosphere created by the unique decor is romantic, sophisticated but also very warm and welcoming. Weloved our stay and would strongly recommend. My only criticism if I had to be picky was with the mattress which was a bit hard. Loved the open fire in the lobby, the great bar and restaurant and very helpful staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Glitz but no glamour"
Tiny garish dimly lit rooms. Washrooms are a hardship. Disorganized and at times befuddled front desk $600/- a night ?????........seriously ???? You can do a lot better in NYC.........Don't make the same mistake we did.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great hotel, highly recommended to all"
The hotel decor is make it stand out from the crowd without being too off-beat. We arrived on a chilly March day and there was a welcoming open fire buring in the lobby. Lighting is subdued and the ambience chilled out and calm. The staff could have smiled a bit more but hey this is New York, they were efficient and helpful when required to be so. The […] hotel is perfectly positioned for exploring most of the traditional tourist trail in Manhattan. My only complaint would be that the room was too hot (I couldn't get the air con control to stay at a reduced temperature) and that there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Nevertheless, these are minor gripes, I would highly recommend this hotel to others it is far more pleasant and interesting than staying in any of the so called 'luxury' international chain hotels. "Great hotel for trendy people!"
Great hotel, very trendy and has a cool vibe. Great service from the staff, the hotel has a boutique feel and is very classic. I loved my time there and will go back in the future.Genuine Expedia guest review
The room was beautiful and the overall hotel was very lovely. The service was good but the complaints that I have are that the room service was not good, the food was cold when it was received. The hotel did not carry Fox News which is the only news channel worth watching and when I asked, I was told that they were having difficulty with the cable network, […] not that they did not carry the channel at all, although it is listed in their hotel magazine. The location is very good and we enjoyed the park so all in all it was worth the money we paid for our suite. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great position but the room felt tired"
Our one bedroom suite, looked a little tired and needed updating, although the main bed was comfortable and the shower room was great. But the curtains were hanging loose and small things didn't work - the TV remote control (which we asked to be changed - it was eventually but it took a day and a half). For the price, we have stayed in much better rooms. […] But the position of the hotel is great and the housekeeping staff tried hard but seemed to be under-staffed.(we had to specifically ask for some shower wash and there were none left and they were not replaced in the mornings). The terrace was closed as it was being refurbished so that was a shame. the main bar areas were great though. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
