"Nice property"

"Great Location"
We arrived at the hotel at 3:00 which is check in time. The hotel was full the night before so we had to wait two hours for our room. It delayed our plans; however, we made the best of the situation. We will give this hotel one more try.

"be prepared"
Do not agree with $100 incidental charge. I knew I was not going to use room service or movies . I was at end if business trip and credit card was maxed out only to find I couldn't check in without paying. Would not accept wives card over phone. So room was paid for but couldnt check in. They finally rudely agreed to accept a lesser amount...all my cash and balance on card. After $10 parking fee if course. Be prepared...I wasn't.

"check in and elevator issues"
Long line at check in and only 2 clerks. Stood in line for 10-15 minutes before getting to the counter. Agent was very cordial. Elevator issues. One person said he had gotten stuck in the same elevator 3 tines and they never shut it down.

"Nickel and dime you hotel"
Rooms were not ready, I called weeks prior for refrigerators, did not get them. There was also a 50.00 dollar per night deposit that was never mentioned in my confirmation email not happy about that at all. Check in staff although not unfriendly but not as nice as I have experienced at other 4 star hotels that manager advised me that this hotel was.

We arrived around 3:00pm. and we had to wait for over an hour before we could get our room! Then we get to our room and it was only one bed. I had reserved double beds! Now we had to wait another twenty or thirty minutes for them to get another room ready! The room was nice and clean I just didn't like the waiting and it made us have to rush to get to where we had to be.

"Close Proximity to the airport"
The elevators were being services (had signs on them) which made me a little uncomfortable - especially as I had a very tight business travel schedule. The room was fairly clean. The proximity to the airport is hard to beat. It is a nice hotel close to the airport with 2 hour shuttle service - very helpful.

We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and have always enjoyed it. However, they now tout themselves as a "high end" hotel according to the desk clerk. Therefore, they now charge for parking. There was no wifi in room unless you pay. These things have always been included. Who charges for wifi anymore?.The new "high end" room was so cramped with oversized furniture that I could not walk in between the dresser and the bed to the bathroom at nite without squeezing through. TOO CRAMPED!!! Couldn't even open the drawers all the way. Coffee pot and condiments in compartment of dresser. Couldn't open the door all the way due to hitting the bed. The bathroom came pre-haired. The room was cleaned but the maid obviously forgot to clean the floor in the b-room. Shower stall even had hair. I can understand a few strands, but this was beyond a few. The towels were SO HARD and cheap. Felt like sandpaper. Oh by the way, be SURE TO CHECK YOUR BILL! Was charged for a bottle of water that the maid said we used. How can that be when we checked in late that day, for only one nite and did not need maid service.Will not chose this hotel in future as first choice anymore. Dropped the ball in too many places. We like "high end", will gladly pay for "high end", but this experience was expected of a roadside inn where there is nowhere else to stay. On a good note - the bed was SUPPPPPPERRRR comfy! Slept like a log.

I don't travel much but tend to stay in lower class hotel when I do. Now after staying at the Renaissance I refuse anything less. Great breakfast buffet and everything was neat and orderly with a courteous staff

"Amenities Not the Same"
The prices was different when I got to the hotel, a few hidden costs that was not on the website, in fact the website posted one thing but when got there we had to pay for those amenities. The staff was less than accommodating when it came to what was posted on the website.

Best business hotel near the St. Louis airport. Recently renovated. Nothing going on in the neighborhood tho. Stay here if you are on business, but if you're visiting St. Louis there are better places - old st charles, the loop, downtown, central west end

"Beautiful lobby decor"
When I made reservations, I was promised a refrigerator (due to meds that I have) and a rollout bed when I arrived, when I checked-in these things were not an option-I reserved the room for four days and when I arrived the front desk said that they would put me on a waiting list at which I was number 5 on the list (I never did receive a refrigerator nor any type of update). There were many options when choosing a hotel and if I would have known that my small requests were not going to be met, I would have chosen another hotel. I had my Grandchildren for our annual vacation and was very disappointed in everything. There was a charge for every little thing including parking. The elevators were scary (making awful noices)

I know the hotel was close to the airport, but it was truly overpriced. The hotel itself was just ok. For price you would think the hotel would have offered a free breakfast. Not!

"Costly"
It is a beautiful hotel but they charge for everything down to a bottle of water in the room. I parked on there lot for $10 but when I left they wanted $3.00. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

"Wonderful stay"
The hotel is very clean. The room was extremely comfortable. Service was great. Parking can be an issue when there are weddings or other events at the hotel. We will definitely be staying there any time we go to St. Louis in the future. It's not far from the major sites of St. Louis so it's in a great location.

"Nice place for the price"
The airport is directly behind the hotel so there was that constant noise. The pools are small. The parking was terrible the days we were there. There is nothing in the direct area to do. However, everything was clean and nice and the staff was pleasant and I would stay again if I had a reason to be on that side of St. Louis.

"I should have paid $10 more to stay somewhere else"
It looked really well kept from the outside. I checked into my room and realized that the TV was not working, the sink handle was broken ann they had placed a super loud mini fridge on the foor next to the window. It just awkwardly sat on the floor. At this point i picked up the phone to call the front desk and no one answered. I must have called the front dest 7 times without any success. I tried the other service buttons and finally got someone who said to call the front desk in the morning. In the morning, i still did not get an answer from the front desk. I had to use my cell phone to call the outside number to get a response. The finally decided to move us to another floor which was suppose to be an upgrade...the room was exactly the same!! It was a bit cleaner but the AC didnot work well. I wish i had paid $10 more for a different hotel. By the way, read the fine print when you book with a third party because i ended up paying $10 additional per day for the parking anyway. This hotel was had a big name attached to the Marriott chain but delivered substandard service, rooms and cleanliness. I will never return to this hotel in St Louis.

"Ok stay"
They had several family reunions in the hotel the night of our stay. It was very busy and loud in the lobby and halls at all hours. Of course, this is more a reflection on the other guests than the hotel. Although the staff made no attempts to quiet the guests. The elevators were also very slow and limited due to remodeling. The room was clean and beds were pretty comfortable.

"For an upscale hotel everything had a price."
Additional cost, parking, tv, and wifi. No refrig. You get two towels for two adults and they were ruff to your skin. Hard to turn on water in shower, had to have my husband help me.

"Would not stay here again"
The only thing that was good about this hotel was the bell hops, excellent people!! However for the amount we paid for the room it had no microwave or fridge, we had to have one delivered to our room which sat in the middle of the floor. We had to order out because the amount to eat at the hotel for just a simple breakfast was $100.It's a beautiful hotel. Cleaning staff acted or spoke no English they did not clean the showers. If it wasn't for the room already being paid for we would have left the next day.

"Mirror Elevator"
The mirrors in the elevator are beyond cool. Also, I stayed in a handicapped room, and my disabled father was able to easily get into and out of the roll in shower. Very comfortable for a man on oxygen and in a motorized scooter chair. Also the bell hops were a huge help in getting all of his medical equipment into and out of the car.

Good location as far as airport convenience. Was a bit loud- heard everything from the room next door. However, accommodations were clean, comfortable and proximity to the airport was great. Parking is $10/night if you leave your car there.

Most full service hotels require a deposit for incidentals. While we do release the deposit immediately upon checkout, it may take the guest’s bank up to two weeks to release the funds back into the guest’s account. We do have a limited number of refrigerators which can be given upon request and we are happy to store any medical related items in our hotel refrigerator securely located in the front office.

"Very nice and clean and pleasant customer service"
My trip was mainly for business. Convenience shuttle service, clean room, boarding pass printing available. Hotel lobby has decorative seating area for business meeting. Internet available in lobby and conference area. I invited my customer to stay in the same hotel for better service. He took a suite there. I recommend for business stay.

"Attended conference located at the hotel."
Overall the stay was nice. Everyone was friendly and helpful. It was somewhat disappointing that we couldn't get in our room as scheduled. We had to wait for almost 2 hours. After driving 5 1/2 hours, this was an inconvenience. It's unfortunate that wi-fi for the rooms is so expensive....another inconvenience. But, everything was pleasant for the most part.
