"Overlooking the adjacent Interstate"
The Concierge was amazing. The stay was worth it to have Jeane Paul assist us in seeing the city in a short amount of time. But, I had to pay for internet access and the window to our room was right over the Interstate and we heard traffic all night long that got busier and busier in the morning hours.Genuine Expedia guest review
My husband, son, his friend and I stayed here two nights to attend a Seattle Seahawks game and it was just perfect. Even the walk to the game from this hotel was fun. Great location, great hotel and great service!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I have been to MANY hotels that were less expensive, with nicer accommodations. Disappointed to have spent my anniversary there.Genuine Expedia guest review
"great location for walking"
stayed 2 non consecutive nights - the 1st night we were given a 5th floor 'freeway' room & since we ck'd in late and were leaving in the morning we did not change rooms, but we did ask for somewhere more quiet on our return! our other glitch with staff paying attention was searching for our car keys ... apparently I left them at the desk when checking […] in, but they made no attempt to return them to us. It wasn't until the next day when we searched our room, checked all luggage and repacked twice looking for them that we called the front desk to inquire with lost and found only to get a 'no, nothing is here' answer! When we then said we thought someone may have come into our room then that we had someone else in mgmt calling us and within 10 mins had located them. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable two night stay"
First visit to Seattle so took a shot at 'Pot luck'. Hotel well situated for nice restaurants, shopping a not far to walk to downtown market area. The area is quite hilly. Easy walk down but quite a climb back to hotel. Plenty of taxis around! All in all a pleasant stay with helpful staff in all areas.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fairly central location, nice"
The location is nice, downtown, within walking distance of the pier and market for those daring enough to climb the hilly Seattle streets. The hotel was neat, clean and modern. The beds were comfortable with great pillows. The staff were generally really friendly, but not "warm." The one thing that really surprised me was the woman in the bar in the […] morning, where coffees and pastries were served, talking politics.... No one wants to hear that from staff. "Nice place on top of a hill."
we arrived late at night on a sunday. when we arrived we were starving. we got checked in and eventually talked to russell at consierge. he was very informative on the area and where to go. russell was such a great person to talk to. he asked why we were in town and told him it was for our anniversary. we went to eat at a nice place just a couple blocks […] up called vetos that he recommended which was awesome. when we came back to our room that night he had sent up a cold bottle of champagne and chocolates which we ended up drinking the next night in the lounge down by the lobby. the bartender was very nice. dont remember his name but he had longer hair tied up in a pony and was darker complexion. he took very good care of us. we hung out on the couch in front of the tv and was very comfortable. we ordered chips and salsa which were not on the menu and he got those for us anyways. upon checkout however we were informed that we were being charged for parking and bottled waters which we did not drink but one and for wifi. we were not informed upon checkin that we were going to be charged for these things. i told this to the girl at the front desk and she took care of most of it. the rooms werent too bad. we had a view of the freeway which didnt bother me much because i dont go to seattle to sit in my room all day and stare out the window. as long as the windows were closed we couldnt hear the traffic. the bed was comfortable. pillows not so much but hey. overall our stay was good. "Sleepless in Seattle."
If they give you a room on Madison Ave. side be prepared to get no sleep as I-5 is 50ft from your window so noise all night with traffic back and forth to Canada.. Also they charge you $32 a night to park, which they never told me.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Hotel Manager"
We stayed three nights (four adults, two boys, and a baby). After the first night of 'Sleepless in Seattle' due to the time change with the baby, we asked to change to joining rooms. The staff set to work making this change while we explored Seattle. Unfortunately, the change hit some snags and wasn't ready when we returned early in the evening. William […] to the rescue. William pushed some of the right spots and the change was made. William (I believe he was a new manager) expressed his apology in the form of a hand written note and breakfast the next day for our group. He went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was comfortable and smooth. Our only regret was no pool, but that was something we knew before hand. It was listed in a tour book of top ten hotels with a pool, but I understand that the pool was taken out after the book was printed. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Nice place but too noisy next to I-5 freeway Only get a room facing waterfrontGenuine Expedia guest review
Very nice hotel. Easy check in. Beautiful view. Onsite parking was perfect. Food was awesome. The view from the restaraunt was a nice surprise- breathtaking! My only complaint would be the staff. We showed up for dinner at 8pm and there was only one waitress. Granted there were only a couple other tables filled at the time, but the placed filled up […] and she was overwhelmed. Breakfast was worse. Food was, again, delicious! The waitor was the same. Very nice but we never saw him. When it was time to leave, we waited 15 minutes for our check, before I waved him down. I had a business meeting so I was worried about time. Just seemed like short on staff. It was also, quite a walk to and from Pike Place. We are in great shape, physically, so we could handle it, but it was a killer walk to and from the hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great staff makes older hotel worth it"
The Front Desk and Concierge staff were among the best in my long life experience. They went above and beyond expectations every time I interacted with them. There seemed to be a pride in offering the best hotel service possible, even though the hotel is getting a little tired in terms of decor. The room was very comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
Within good waking distance of shopping, and major atrractions. Room was fine. A few minuses: 1) lacks free WiFi. 2) Hotel should have a sauna and a pool 3) Maxwell's Cafe food quality should be much better, it was mediocre at best.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, good location"
Great hotel that is near downtown shopping and restaurants. Service is a bit slow but overall, staff was nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
I loved the room, service, and location. I wanted a hotel that was nice, and located at the top of the sound, where I could walk down to Pike Place Market and back for excercise. Only 5 blocks straight down to the market, but options for gradual walks back up, depending on where you walked. I had breakfast at a Pike Place restaurant. The neon sign for […] it is hanging from the ceiling by the entrance at the fish market. They have great crab cakes and fresh-squeezed orange juice. I go there every time I'm in town! And, sit by the window to comfort in the view of the ferrys and fog. I miss Seattle... Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We loved the beautiful room and great location, but beware hidden costs, like the fee for using the hotel garage if you're only staying overnight. Don't eat at the hotel as portions are tiny and prices exorbitant. Don't touch anything unless you know what it costs. The line for checkout took forever because the couple in front of us drank the bottled […] water in their room, thinking it was complimentary, and were having a fit about paying for it. "Good hotel, great bar service, hill is a killer"
Overall the hotel was nice. I read some of the reviews that said it was noisy with the freeway and the main street on each side but that wasn't my experience. The bar on the libby level was great-- long and good happy hour and the bartender was awesome! The real downer was having to pay the steep parking as a guest of the hotel (in my experience this […] is usually complimentary with your stay). The other not so great part was climbing the hill on the way back. Since we typically walk to the Mariners games we go to, we'll probably stay somewhere else next time but will like stop by the bar anyway Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This is a huge hotel that seems to be a bit more than its infrastructure can handle. The staff were wonderful--concierge, room service, front desk registration and maintenance. The room was partly upgraded but not thoroughly refreshed. The air conditioning had a temp control but it didn't change regardless of how the thermostat was adjusted. The refrigerator […] was dirty and had food in it when we arrived. We were on the 14th of 28 floors, but the hot water couldn't make it to the sink within three minutes unless the shower was turned to hot water first. There was a daily charge ($12.95 USD) for Wi-fi according to the website, which seems to be very out of line with other business hotels. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice by Noisy"
This hotel was very noisy as it overlooks the freeway. We asked to change rooms, but the hotel was sold out. The room was nicely appointed, but was very well used. Happily it was clean.Genuine Expedia guest review
Amazing level of service at this Hotel! Parking, Front Desk questions and check in- room service was great! ( very rare !)Genuine Expedia guest review
"Expensive parking and Wi-Fi"
Hotel was very good to excellent. Only negatives were the extra charges for parking ($32 per night) or for valet parking ($38 per night) and for Wi-Fi access ($14 per day). The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The restaurants were excellent for breakfast and lunch with terrific, fast service and reasonable prices.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Agreed, the rooms were a little "tired" BUT they were clean and comfortable and more than this, the Staff were excellent, couldn't have wished for better. From check in to the waiter at breakfast, all were super polite and friendly. This said, "Hats off" to Lucy the Concierge! I've travelled a lot, all over the world, and never have I come across a […] concierge so helpful, kind, respectful and courteous! Marriott- you should give Lucy a big $ raise to make sure she stays with you, she is a brilliant ambassador for you! Well done Lucy. Well done Marriott. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

beautiful hotel in downtown seattle. ask for a top floor view is incredible also less noise from the highway. food in cafe not that good but the view from the RView is spectacular day or night. you can see the lake, the spaceneedle and the skyline. not close to the market but within walking distance to shopping and resturants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The service was good and the facility was quite nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was so-so. Nothing stood out as being very good. I know that wifi that is usually provided free at lesser star hotels is not included when you have a higher star hotel, but this has always been a sore spot with me. If I am paying more, I expect more, not less. Only good thing was the location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were allowed to check in early and get into our room before hitting the streets of Seattle. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff couldn't have been more personable and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"nickel and dime you to death"
For a hotel to charge close to $400/night and then charge for Internet access and bottled water in the room is criminal. Plus, they cater heavily to business travelers at the expense of family travelers. We saw this in the way we were treated - staff always put biz travelers ahead of us. Biggest example was 4am we (family) were woken up by loud person […] in next room. We called and the staff did nothing. The next morning at 9:30am, we were watching TV and getting ready and security shows up to tell us that the guy next door (a pilot business traveler) needed us to be quiet so he could sleep. I tried to switch hotels, but there was nothing else available so we were stuck. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"should have stayed somewhere else"
When I first got there, first thing I saw was very crowded hotel with people sitting on the ground near their luggage, eating pizza, like homeless, or canceled flights. The lady that checked me was not helpful. We got to out room, the bathroom door was just clouded glass, very inconvenient in the middle of the night , if one needs to use the restroom […] and not wake everyone up. Wireless in the room was a certain amount per device, so we had to go to the lobby to use internet. Again inconvenient. I asked the concierge at checkout for help with luggage coming from the 12 floor room , he got me the luggage carrier and left. My sister and I had to maneuver the carrier to the 12 floor put our luggage on it and then maneuver it through the elevator. We got it out the front door received my car from the valet, I gave him a tip, and he left us without loading the luggage into my car. I had to load all the luggage into the trunk. Will not stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Walking distance to pike place market, shops etc"
This hotel was great. We enjoyed the location of the hotel. It was within walking distance to pike place market, shopping and many restraunts. The hotel has a great bar on the top floor which is great for relaxing before heading out for dinner. It is located at the top of hills so be prepared for the. Walk back being up hill. The room was clean, the […] bathroom was a little small but had everything you need. We called ahead and was able to get an early check in, if that is not available they will check your bag for you. They also have loading stations so you can park a car for a couple of minutes if you need to load or unpack. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Good! Went out for coffee and food, not real appealing to stay in. No bedtime turndown. Ask for West view.Genuine Expedia guest review
Not terrible--- but not great. Over priced and $25.00 +7.00 overnight parking!! And the restaurant wasn't open convenient hours --- closed early . We arrived on Sunday afternoon and left mid morning on Tuesday, so that checking in and out was quick. We were on a concierge floor and the breakfasts and facilities were substantial.
