"Great hotel on Coast Village Road"
We've stayed at the Montecito Inn a number of times over the past 20+ years. This time was for a wedding weekend. We ended up in the luxury suites - which were amazing. The restaurant in the hotel is consistently great. The little bar is also a nice addition.Genuine Expedia guest review
Our room was great and had 2 bathrooms! ( 2 queen beds).Genuine Expedia guest review
The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent.Genuine Expedia guest review
Clean, nice room w a comfy bed. We were overall happy with our experience.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Lot's of charm"
Love all the old charm of this hotel, friendly staff, very comfortable bed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Montecito Inn has the lovely old Santa Barbara charm with modern amenities. Very friendly staff and loved the valet service as we were in and out each day. Quaint downtown and very friendly people even with all the high end shops. A vintage car show was along the main street which made for a great stroll and my husband loved showing our kids our […] folk's cars and our first car! Would look forward to staying here again. "This 1920s hotel is a delight!"
This hotel, built by Charlie Chaplin in the 1920s is a pure delight to the senses. As you walk through the hallways you sense the aura of the Golden Age of Hollywood. Even though the rooms are a bit small, the attention to detail in terms of high quality of bedding, furniture and art deco themes were wonderful. There is a full service restaurant whose […] signature dessert, coconut cake reportedly has visitors returning many times to the Montecito Inn Cafe for it alone. Highly recommended. "adorable and comfortable"
The beds are super comfy, and the pool is clean and heated! great choice for montecito area. nice breakfast, great service, friendly staff. the rooms are small, but it was built in 1928. the rooms are very nicely appointed. I love that they don't charge a fortune for all the extras - parking was reasonable, breakfast was free, no resort fees, even the […] mini-bar was reasonably priced! A craft beer for $6? You bet. I felt descriminated against..I was asked several time what room I was staying by different staff memebers like in doubt... while I was trying to enjoy the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
EVERYTHING WAS FINE. THE LOCATION IS GREAT. BREAKFAST INCLUDED, WITH COFFEE AND TEA ALL DAY WAS AN ADDED BONUS. THE ONLY DOWNSIDE, THE BATHROOMS ARE THE SIZE OF A POSTAGE STAMP.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent hotel to stay at"

"Great Location but not satisfied with room"
My boyfriend and I were really looking forward to our stay here, and while it was enjoyable. We were not entirely impressed with our room. The photos of the hotel are much nicer than the actual room themselves. For paying close to $200 a night, the rooms were quite small. In order to change the channels on the TV, you literally have to stand feet from […] the TV. You can't change it from sitting in your bed. A number of our electronic outlets were either broken or really weak. The hot water is our room was also inconsistent at times. My boyfriend had requested another iron be sent to our room because the one in the room was dirty and had to call twice for it to be sent up. However, it was nice that the inn had a bar, restaurant, pool, and fitness room. The hotel service was wonderful. It was just our room that we were dissatisfied with. Next time we visit Santa Barbara, we do not plan on staying to the Montecito Inn. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We really enjoyed our stay!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
No soap was in the room. We had to ask for it, but their was a long delay before we got it. The front desk person admitted that she was the only person there early in the morning, around 7am to get our request filled. I think they need add'l people there to improve their service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Always try to Stay at the Monectio Inn when in SB. Great spot, wifi a little weak in the higher roomsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to site of wedding that I was attending."
Overall, very good; however, there was not adequate seating for breakfast because a portion of the cafe was closed off. This resulted in a unnecessary delay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great Hotel. Classy place. Great location. Very comfortable bed. Only reason it is not 5 start was the bathroom tub was very small and the rooms we had was a little noisy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Charming Friendly Hotel"
This hotel gives one such a personal stay, unlike very large hotels. They overbooked, so we were upgraded - to their Apartment!! Every time we needed anything, the friendly staff was there to meet our requirements. They have recently renovated, and everything was top drawer. Wish we could have stayed a week. My friend is fighting cancer; this overnight […] stay afforded her so much pleasure. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
You are way behind in upgrading for business travelers. I needed a desk with good lighting, electrical outlets for my laptop and phone. You did not have any of these items. There was no place to plug in my phone / alarm by my bed to charge it overnight. I had to move the furniture and reach way down to find a plug.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Will never stay here!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great boutique hotel"
great boutique hotel, excellent location, outstanding service. Only downside was freeway noisy (mostly pool, spa area).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cute little gem"
As one viewer described, the room and bathroom are small but we were rarely in hotel room so it was fine. Its an old hotel and one of the light switches went out in our room but they immediately had someone fix it. I loved the ambiance of the hotel. It had a nice wworkout room and the free breakfast is convenient. They rent out bikes for free that was […] fun. "Interesting Hotel; Over-priced; Surly Staff"
This hotel is OK but I would not recommend it. The hotel itself is insteresting being an old, but updated hotel with an old style elevator. It's a small hotel which I do like. Parking is easy, however they charged $8 a day but I think the hotel description said there was not a charge. The rooms are small but fairly nice. The bathrooms are small, old-style, […] and somewhat clean. No frills. The bed is very nice and comfortable. The TV is a nice updated LED unit. Our unit wasn't great, with the window next to the dumpsters of the restaurant next door - Lovely; it was mid-week, the hotel was not busy and they COULD have given us a better room - but didn't. The staff isn't great. Not really helpful or friendly, which is the complete opposite of the hotel we stayed at the day before so that was disappointing. In my opinion you can find a better hotel for the price. I would not recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
small rooms, very small bathrooms, hot tub doesn't work properly, complimentary breakfast has to be eaten in the lobby because they block off all but 5 tables , for maybe 100 guests, staff could care less about your complaints, which tells me they get a lot of complaints. would never stay there againGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great "pocket" hotel"
Great spot. Room was very small but charming. Staff was very helpful. Felt very comfortable and safe both in the hotel and the neighborhood.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"It worked great for me."
The hotel was very conveniently located for me. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Coffee and fruit available 24 hours a day. Nice continental breakfast included in the room rate. There is both a restaurant and a bar in the hotel. My room was comfortable and quiet. They have bikes for use by guests which was fantastic for me; I took several very […] pretty rides around Santa Barbara. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I am unsure if I would stay here again. A friend and I checked in the hotel. My room was located in a nice location, even though, you can hear freeway noise since the hotel is very close to the freeway. My friend had a room on the other side of the hotel overlooking the kitchen and dumpsters of the restaurant next door. When he complained, Michael, […] a manager of the hotel told him that if he didn't like the room that he could check of the hotel. I do not think this represents superior customer service. I doubt that I would return to the hotel in the future. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Here's the positives and there are many: friendly staff, free wifi, charming ambience, very clean and elegant room. Two Negatives: Smal room, the elevator is the original one charming but inefficient. Otherwise overall Lovely. I would definately stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Quaint and modern"
Montecito Inn is very charming and cozy while also elegant. We loved the complimentary bikes that we rode on the nearby bike path down the hill and along the beach in Santa Barbara! The front desk staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and we made use of the great pool and Jacuzzi outside.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Like a step back in time but with updated amenities, we had a lovely time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel very clean, nice decor. Free breakfast a plus. Pool is wonderfully heated, but every so often you can smell the garbage dumpsters...yuck. Also, request a room away from the dumpsters -it can get noisy at night. Overall charming, except for occasional wafts of garbage smell!Genuine Expedia guest review
"older but goodie"
Enjoyed the quieter location and boutique atmosphere!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice hotel-very quaint but definitely not worth what they charge per night. A far cry from a luxury hotel but everyone was very friendly and accommodating.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It's an old hotel and you can tell, but it's classy. Complimentary fruit, water, and coffee bar at all times. Valet parking. And the service was incredible. A little pricey for the area, considering it's not really near the beach or the concert venue. But overall very nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great locationGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Rooms are small but hotel staff are friendly and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
My girlfriend and I spent 2 nights. The room was very nice, wish the bathroom was larger. In this day and age would have been nice to have a wall plug that was more accessible. Charging two phones and a camera became a chore. Maybe I need to travel with a power strip. Room 201 is over the first floor Restaurant. Which means while in your room early […] before 10 PM you hear music coming from down there. after 10 PM it was OK. The floor / ceiling isn't that sound proof. Heard noise coming from the above room, during both nights. Yes I am a light sleeper. The pool is a stone's throw away from Highway 101. Not a peaceful place. The Hotel is located at one end of the main street of Montecito. Its a short drive to Santa Barbara. The staff was very helpful. Room was nice and clean. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Charming, perfectly located."
It was very, very comfortable. We were on our way from San Francisco to San Diego. Stayed only one night. The only thing I didn't like was our view. It was a view of the air conditioning or some other units. If we had stayed longer, I might have questioned it. I loved it and would stay again and request a room with a view .Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel but bad location and expensive"
The hotel and room was nice, complimentary tea and coffee appreciated but the room was very small and very expensive. The hotel was about a 45 minute walk from the centre of Santa Barbara. The breakfast was appalling for how much we were paying, we were told we would have to wait 15 minutes for a table and when we finally got in there was only empty […] cereal bowls and a couple of stale looking croissants to choose from. In the end we went to a place 2 doors down and had a brilliant brunch. Santa Barbara itself is lovely and definitely worth a visit. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

We are longtime visitors to Santa Barbara and usually stay with family. It was fun to stay at this first rate hotel and be so close to nice restaurants, shopping and a short walk to the beach. "the hotel is just all right"
This hotel is pretty darn old not in a bad way if you appreciate the early 90s element. Wife and I were placed on 3rd floor.
