I'm pretty picky and will stay there again. Of course, it's not a five star but for the price, it's worth it. I've paid more for hotels and gotten a much worse room. The sheets were very clean, the blankets weren't great and some of the pillows were very uncomfortable. The staff was great, the breakfast was good.

Our shower wouldn't drain, it still had water in the tub in the morning. Other than that, the place was fine, but that really creeped us out. They took $10 off our bill. Still, ugh. They should have noticed that if they cleaned the tub.

Steps off the freeway, restaurants and shops nearby. Several gas stations. Good quality room at an affordable price. Located on the freeway at the halfway point between most points north and south. I travel from Buffalo, NY to Jacksonville, FL and this hotel is perfect. I have stayed here the last few years with no problems.

This is not a Holiday Inn or Marriot but overall satisfactory. My priorities are: cleanliness: very good; quiet: very good ; comfortable bed: good; hot water pressure: very good; breakfast: minimal but ok; friendly staff: very good; . Overall a satisfactory place to stay for a short visit. Satisfactory accomodation for a good price.

We booked 3 rooms together, courtesy of Scott. Our room was nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast that came with the room included fresh Belgium waffles that you make in 2.5 minutes. They were so good!!! I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed overnight while on way to North Carolina beach. Parking was terrible. Had to park in absolute rear of hotel with our new car out of sight of virtually everybody and concerned about potential break-in. Weird set-up as hotel is actually 2 separate buildings. After we parked in rear, had to walk in and then out of rear building then into "main" […] building were our room was. Main entry doors indicated room keycard was required but this was not the case as I was able to enter at ease without it, not the best of security. Overall, room was clean. Although no elevator this is not much of a problem if only carrying overnight bag to second floor and not large suitcase. Will likely try a different hotel next time, although fairly clean. For the price, this hotel was an ok place to stay for 1 night as we were heading back from vacation. Breakfast offerings not so good, we chose to eat at a restaurant instead. Room was clean, but the whole place was dark and kind of gloomy looking.

Front desk clerk didn't have a clue what he was doing. Refused early check in (1 hour early) even though he said our room was ready. Our room key didn't work, he blamed it on us putting it too close to our cell phones. I had the phones, my husband had the keys...pretty sensitive keys huh. We just used this hotel to sleep in our our drive from Ohio to Myrtle Beach. The rate was great, the hotel is located right off of the highway so that was good. The could have had a cleaner feel to it, it wasn't dirty, it just didn't feel clean.

Was a smoking room. Very musty smelling. Coffee pot filter holder need to be cleaned. Looked dirty and stained. Bathroom floor was sticky. Heating and air unit made a lot of noise when running. This place is basic shelter from the elements. I would "not" stay at this location as there are NEWER hotels surrounding this one! When I booked to stay here I based my decision on previous stays at Super 8 Motels! Bad decision on my part! Upon arrival there wasn't a vehicle in the whole parking lot! Had to find the desk clerk! Whole place smelled dank […] and musty. They should really be shut down in my opinion, but the staff said they remodeled, big deal new sink counters. My bathtub was clogged. Bathroom door didn't shut. Recliner was itchy! Toilet squealed when flushed. TV was a 1980 brand w/a universal remote. Building wasn't secure at night. Breakfast in the morning consisted of coffee in small dixie cups about 4 oz. and cherrios out of a dial hopper into thin styrofoam bowls. Read more

This hotel was ok... It is dated and could use improvemnts in the room. We stayed in a "non smoking" room, but it had a very musty odor. For the price it was ok- I guess you get what you pay for. The visit was a brief stopover. I would not spend more than one night there.

You get what you pay for with this hotel. It's not quite as nice as it looks in the picture. There was nothing wrong with the room - it was clean, bed was comfortable enough, A/C worked very well (we ended up having to turn it off a couple of times as it got too cold in the room), and the Wi-fi internet connection was reliable. We left Super 8 and did not stay... Our room had cigarette burns in the chairs and blankets. The bed sheets had not been changed and had hair in them. The room was run down with no matching lampshades. Hotel.com did give us a refund.

This hotel is located on I-77 in Hillsville beside of a gas station and across the street from a McDonalds. The room was in very good condition and clean. We booked a queen room online at hotels.com, but when we checked in we were told that king rooms were available so we were given a complimentary upgrade. Kings did not show up as an option online. There […] are no elevators in this hotel so you will either have to walk up or down a flight of stairs unless you stay on the ground floor. The first floor is down a level. The internet service was very disappointing. We had to get help from the front desk to get online and after having been online for about ten minutes we lost the connection and was never able to get it back. Breakfast is advertised as a "hot breakfast", but the only hot options were waffles and oatmeal. At 9:40 a.m. there wasn't much left and a waffle from a previous attempt was stuck to the waffle maker so we went to McDonald's for breakfast. I left a new nightgown hanging on the back of the bathroom door. I was very pleased that the maid turned it in to lost and found and I picked it up as we passed through Hillsville on the way home a few days later. Thank you for your honesty. Entire staff from front dest to room service was very friendly. I traveled with a small dog and had a pet friendly room. There were signs that pets had been in the room but nothing out of the ordinary for a pet friendly room, room service does good job of cleaning. For the price I will stay there again.

1-2 minutes off Route 77 this hotel is convenient for travel. Not very crowded. Nice room with pleny of comfort. Very clean. 10 minute drive to shops and restuarants. Over all, great value and inexpensive.
