This hotel is a challenge to find (by GPS), but well worth finding it! Have the bell boy park your car for you if you drive, but ride with him because it's amazing that you can fit a car on the streets, in the elevator and into the garage. The hotel is great, perfect walking distance to city highlights, great neigborhood for coffee and shopping.

Beautiful hotel! The courtyard is gorgeous and the rooftop pool is nice and cool so don't forget your swimsuit! Hotel room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was helpful. The only bummer was that the Wifi doesn't work in the rooms, just the lobby and courtyard.

Location! Very far away from anything tourists want to see in Sevilla. Would recommend other locations closer in town. Internet just didn't work. Staff is not overly friendly but helpfull. As a tourist looking to get the most out of Sevilla, I would recommend somewhere closer to the centro. We walked so far.

The exterior of the hotel grounds is nice but rooms are very dated, staff are not very helpful or friendly, and the hotel is about a 20-30 minute walk from anything interesting in Sevilla! I would never stay here again,

The hotel met the needs for the couple of nights I was there. Room was spacious and clean. My request for laundry and window repair happened immediately and any requests were taken care of. So you can cross all the t's and dot all the i's. However, of the 3 hotels I reserved for this trip, this was the least satisfactory. The neighborhood was not pleasant […] to walk around, it looked old and dirty, and the 20 minute walk to the historic center was equally unattractive. I would definitely not rate this a 4 star hotel. Well the hotel itself is difficult to find, the section of the city that it is in is confusing with lots of one way streets and no parking available. We found ourselves driving around and around which did not add to my pleasure. However once you have achieved your destination it is a lovely hotel with some issues… so don't let them put you in a room […] next to the elevator which is VERY noisy. Also customer service is not big on the agenda. The door to our room would not close properly and the staff would not help us until we proved to them that we were not the “crazy” Americans. We had to have a sit down meeting with the manager about customer service expectations and HELLO I'm on vacation who needs this but as I stated it was necessary. On the other hand the restaurant staff is very nice and I enjoyed the tapas. I don't mind paying $$$ for a mixed green salad but forget the filler iceberg lettuce. The breakfast buffet was pricey for what it was but there was nothing I found in the area as a substitute and did not have time to explore as much as I would have liked. There is a local DIA supermarket which I bought water and some other supplies (but be warned they too close midday). And in order to get to the old city you take the bus which runs like every big city not as frequently as you would like. But yes I would go back to Seville in a heart beat when the weather was not so insanely hot. Read more

This was our 8th four star hotel on a month long trip through Europe. Compared to our other hotels, what stood out was the complete lack of customer service. There was one polite person working at the front desk but the rest were incredibly rude. The beds in the rooms were the hardest beds I have ever slept on and the breakfast was less than impressive. […] The positive points of this place were the rooms themselves and the swimming pool. Aside from that, the location was mediocre and a lot further from the centro than we had hoped. And we were pretty used to walking long distances at that point. This hotel is located in the Macarena area which is a walk from the cathedral and the palace but it is worth it. The rooms are big, clean and cooled. They provide a flamenco show a few nights of the week so you can catch a bit of the local flavor without even leaving the hotel. A great little hotel near La Puerta De Toledo and close to the city center. Easy walking access and metro access to major sites. The hotel is within walking distance from the center. Have a good navigation if you drive. The buffet breakfast was just o.k. The weakest part of the stay. Free internet only in the lobby area - no signal in the room. Little pool on the roof.

Customer service at the front desk was great, but the rest of the staff was somewhat indifferent, if not unfriendly. The hotel is on a narrow street with no place to park. Three cars arrived at once so the valet driver had to lead us to the parking garage before we were completely unloaded. Loved the hotel, perfect location, minutes from the Macarena Arch, Basilica of Macarena and 15-20 minute walk to Giralda Tower, Cathedral, Alcazar, shopping, etc. The hotel was lovely...old combined with new! The hotel was comfortable and clean, and the surrounding area was not as nice (The Macarena district). The breakfast was OK, somewhat pricey, but the staff was very nice. It's about a 20 minute walk to the Catedral and Alcazar, so it's quiet at night, and there's great tapas near by.

This is a well-run hotel that met all of my expectations. We got great advice from a staff member, Patricia, on a place to go on Valentine's evening to celebrate that special day. It was right on the money! They even allowed us to use their parking spot for a few hours after our checkout, allowing us to further visit the wonderful city of Sevilla.

The San Gil is a bit off the heavy tourist traffic area but within a reasonalbe walking distance. We took the bus one way and walked back. The room was beautiful and the staff very helpful and friendly. The wi fi is only in the common area which is inconvienent.

Parking was extremely difficult and then expensive to park in the hotel lot. The room was very clean and pleasant, but was next to the courtyard which was noisy at times. The San Gil was within walking distance to downtown locations and restaurants. The hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful. Overall the hotel was very satisfactory.

The hotel is in a residential neighborhood, appearing to be lower middle class. However, we had no problems walking around in the neighborhood late into the night. The only problem I had was that it was difficult to find in a neighborhood with small alleys, dead ends, etc.

If you want an American style chain hotel near the tourist spots, this hotel is NOT for you. If you want a charming, well-maintained Spanish hotel near a lively plaza in the Macarena area of Seville, you will LOVE this hotel.
