"Toronto marathon weekend"
Good location for participating in the Toronto marathon. It was easy enough to get to the starting line by foot even if it wasn't exactly right next to the course. The hotel was nice enough to let guests check-out late if they ran the race. Bed was quite comfy so I got a good night's sleep before the run. The only downside was the $3 charge for a toll-free […] call from the in-room phone. A small quibble when everything else is taken into consideration. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Everyone at this hotel was friendly and accommodating. The room was an upgrade and was excellent -- in size and cleanliness and appearance. Truly enjoyed this hotel and would definitely return.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful and Convenient"
Lovely old hotel, pleasant and helpful staff, excellent guest services. Loved the lobby and my room was great. It would have been 5 across the board if not for two annoyances. First, there was some sort of vent close by so the noise level was significant in both the bathroom and the main room. If I stayed for more than one night I would have requested […] a change. Also, TV audio/video was spotty which made for a frustrating CBS Sunday Morning viewing experience. Check your room for all the utilities before you unpacks your bags! i have been staying downtown for the last 5 years. I previously stayed at the Cambridge Suites. While I like Cambridge i sought out another hotel because of the high prices the Cambridge was offering. As long as the prices are reasonable, I will return to the King Edward without hesitation.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Spacious, Comfortable Rooms, Accomodating Staff"
Great hotel for the money. Spacious rooms, friendly staff. Work Out area just ok, could use newer equipment. Restaurant excellent, and nice bar. I miss the grand piano they used to have though. Check out was painful. When i found charges I had not made from restaurant and bar, they could not provide the backuo to show who made the charges, which ended […] up taking 30 minutes to resolve, and I almost missed my plane. This, all oveer $70. Clearly they need a better process in place. That said, it'smy 2 nd time at the King Eddie, and ai love this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I did not have a pleasent experience with the Hotel amenities. The television had only a minimum numbers of stations available and they would often fade out and go to no signal. The hotel wireless system in the lobby was very slow. The cost of the internet access in the room was very expensive. Most lesser priced hotel chains offer internet access for […] free. Internet access is no longer a luxury, it is used by everyone and should not be an additional room charge. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I can recommend this nice hotel, very classic and good serviceGenuine Expedia guest review
very quiet, sophisticated and comfortableGenuine Hotels.com guest review
My husband and I wanted to stay in downtown hotel at a nice luxurious hotel, but still within a reasonable price-range. We found it at the King Eddy. The staff were superb; check in was fast and the staff were very friendly. We rented an Executive King room and we were delighted and surprised at the large room and bathroom. It was perhaps the most […] comfortable and spacious room we have stayed in. The Concierge was also extremely helpful and suggested some excellent restaurants. We chose the Hot House and we were not disappointed. Our meal was fabulous; there was great seating and a very nice selection of food. I had the roasted chicken breast stuffed with spinach and cheese....it was the best I have ever had! We definitely will be going back. As for the King Eddy, it was very close to shopping, restaurants and the waterfront. We hated to leave and plan on returning in the near future. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Great location in Downtown Toronto in old town section with easy walk to so many neighborhoods, St. Lawrence Market, Rogers Centre, CN Tower and more. Never took subway as we walked everywhere, but local stops for subway and trolley within a block. Good nearby restaurants and St. Lawrence Market which can't be missed. 110 yr old hotel with lots of character […] and friendly staff. Large and spacious room with nice eastern view. "Nice hotel, great location"
The hotel is one of the older, classic Toronto hotels. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I didn't have too much interaction with the staff. Checking in and out was fine, nothing out of this world. The location is excellent - right downtown and close to subway stops, major shopping and cultural events.Genuine Expedia guest review
Excellent hotel in a great location. Only downside to our stay was some of the construction work going on where we were woken around 7am each day by drilling. Otherwise, it's a fantastic hotel and we would definitely stay there again. Up to the same standard of all the other Omni hotels I have stayed in. Concierge was really helpful too, organising […] us a wonderful trip to Niagara Falls. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Omni King Edward Toronto"
It's a beautiful property with the old school elegance and vibe I so love. The staff was attentive and the location is close to everything in downtown Toronto. However, the 45-dollar parking fee is a little steep and the 15-dollar charge for WiFi I just don't understand. You get free WiFi at Motel Six and other very low end motels and hotels, yet four […] and five star hotels charge you for it...While certainly not a "deal breaker," it leaves a bad taste in a guests mouth...Overall it's a very nice hotel... "Great location for exploring downtown Toronto"
We were able to easily explore the city of Toronto going to the Rogers Centre, the CN Tower, the St. Lawrence Market, the Distillery District, Chinatown and Little Italy. Most of the time we were able to walk to & from these destinations, or the subway was right next to the hotel, as well as the hop-on /hop-off bus stop. "Fantastic service in wonderful location."
The hotel's location between Toronto's Financial District and its St. Lawrence Market area, and only one block from the King Street subway station, make it an ideal choice for business travelers and vacationers alike.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Amazing hotel right in the middle of Toronto!"
I travel extensively and stay at 4 star hotels, and this is the nicest 4 star hotel I've been at. The room was very large, the bed was very comfortable, the location was unbeatable. The staff was friendly and the whole hotel was classy without being pretentious. It was an amazing find. The only downside is that they (like many hotels) use a cleaning […] product that smells a bit like tobacco, and I find that unpleasant. If you're extremely sensitive to odors, you may not like it, but otherwise, it's an incredible hotel that I highly recommend. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Can't say one bad thing about the Kind "Eddy" (as we found out from locals that this was called)..... Jake at the front desk was great and spent a lot of time guiding us around town. And I think her name was Vanessa at the consierge counter, was amazing ---- asked her a question about a market on the weekend and after our discussion went across the […] street to get some coffee ------- she actually left the hotel, went to the coffee shop to find us, and handed me a photocopy of the details of the market. NEVER seen this before and was very impressed. Great central location to walking everywhere and would stay there again in a second..... Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Perfect place to stay for the price. Parking was a little expensive but there was a public lot which was more appropriately priced. Loved our stay there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Spent two nights in Toronto. Short walk to Hockey Hall of Fame, Rogers Centre (Blue Jays stadium), CN Tower, harbour area. Near subway for Casa Loma. Asked for two double beds, was upgraded to a king bed. Wifi is free if you join Omni honors program.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Located in the heart of Toronto."
Very nice room, not much of a view. Close to Theatres and Lake Ontario. Parking was an issue.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very disappointed that there was no free WiFi. I could only access WiFi in the Bar. In this day and computer age one would think that all hotels would have free WiFi in the rooms. But this hotel did not. The air conditioner in the room was extremely noisy and was hard to sleep. The room was very dark. Definitely not worth the $189.00 I spent on it.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Historic beauty in the heart of downtown"
Beautifully appointed historic hotel with many architectural accents reminiscent of a by-gone era. Our room (Executive King) was generously sized and comfortable. Beautiful lobby with period furniture and decor. Friendly and accomodating staff. At check in, we were asked about the reason for our trip and when we mentioned it was for our anniversary, […] we were offered a small complimentary item from the restaurant, which was delivered to our room within 10-15 minutes of our arrival. "Location, location LOCATION"
Charming, old hotel conveniently located within a 10 min walking distance of everything downtown on a subway AND streetcar line.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was good generally but the hotel is an old one, which is okay, but maintenance could have been better. The carpet in my room was worn and lumpy and had dirt marks. One pillow did not smell fresh. The desk in my room was very chipped. Outside, one hall way window treatment needed repairs.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent hotel for business or pleasure"
The King Edward is an excellent hotel for either business or vacation. It is a beautifully restored older building in the heart of downtown Toronto, that is meticulously maintained. We stayed in an executive room, that was large, welcoming, nicely furnished, with exceptional views of the lake and city. The hotel ambience was perfect, the staff were […] unfailingly polite and non-intrusive, and the concierges were extremely helpful with our travel arrangements and advice. This is one of the most enjoyable quality hotels in the city, and exceptional value. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A fine Business Travel Option"
A fine place to visit. Wifi options availble to buy for multiple days, which is very nice. Desk is large enough to work on. Room is not huge more than reasonable. Feels like an older (not classic, just older) European hotel. The lobby is nice, and it's close the subway and many businesses. Overall, very reasonable. Wish it had a gym, though.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A grand hotel"
The staff is for the most part excellent. Evening concierge was unable or unwilling to provide details on local restaurants, everyone else was welcoming and helpful. This is a grand hotel with a great history and location. The bar/lounge is one of the more popular spots in Toronto with good drinks, food, and service.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by The Omni King Edward Hotel Thank you for posting this review. Although I was pleased to read that your overall experience with the hotel was positive, I am sorry that our Concierge was unable to provide any information about the local restaurants. Feedback has been shared with the department manager to ensure the consistent delivery of exceptional service to our guests. We look forward to welcoming you back. "A room with no view"
We got a "back room" with a view of a wall...not an ideal room choice. Is this the sort of room generally reserved for Hotels.com discount rated rooms? If so, that is a problem...Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"wonderful staff but hotel is run down"
This hotel was listed as a 4 star hotel on this site. The hotel rooms: furniture, carpeting are worn out and run down. We were first given a worn out room with a kitchen. We asked to be changed to a room without a kitchen. The desk clerk was very helpful and gave us a new room without question. We were then given a "non-smoking" room which obviously […] had had smokers at some point. We could smell the cigarette smoke as soon as we entered. The carpet was worn and dirty. We were offered another room, but we were concerned that it may be worse and it was late and we were tired. We went into the bathroom. There was a dirty q tip on the floor under the sink and the sink had obviously not been cleaned. We called the front desk again. The man was very pleasant and offered us free parking or breakfast. The next morning we found a note of apology under our door and a free membership to the King Edward Club for the time we were there. While the staff and service was excellent, we would never stay at the King Edward again. It is too bad that this hotel has not been renovated and that there is little quality control-- it certainly has potential. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"The New and the Grand Old."
I am an interior designer. I was visiting a client . Style and the latest and the greatest is my field. My young client lives in the Rosedale section and mentioned the new Four Seasons - very close to her home. We had dinner there at the new Daniel Boulod. The Four Seasons decor is very "today" and has fine materials and style. There is no large lobby […] area. The King Edward is more of an Old Guard Hotel with a beautifu lobby, not "brandy" new, but wonderful. The staff is superbly trained. We were upgraded to a large executive suite. The wake-up call was right on time. I had a linen cloth breakfast, beautifully served and they obliged me by getting me in and out in 20 minutes. My husband dined later, relaxed at his table and had the same quality experience. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
