"Just manage your expectations"
The Maldron Dublin airport needs some updating, but the location and staff are pretty good. The food was quite good and the public areas are quite pleasant. But, it's showing signs of age and needs upgrading. In all, an ok place to stay if you need to stay at the airport. But, if you don't there are many better hotels in Dublin.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Perfectly adequate place to stay for the night in between flightsGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice Hotel in disguise"
The room was nice, the staff was nice, the restaurant was nice, the location was nice. The building looking from the outside looks really sketchy, but it is quite nice on the inside. I would recommend this hotel if you want to stay near the airport.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice hotel. Bar restaurant service was slow. Seemed a bit pricy but we were paying to be at the airport.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Tired Hotel; Close to Airport"
The Maldron was a 2 minute walk from the airport. The hotel service was polite. The room was noisy at times during the night; there wasn't much sound proofing between rooms. We ordered drinks and dessert and were disappointed with the quality of the food. Besides the lobby, the hotel is overall run down; stains on the walls and carpets. No breakfast […] included. "Good choice for next-morning airport departures"
Overall this was a great place to stay- good food and service; room was clean and reasonable for price. There was construction going on and the directions to our room indicated a hallway that had been, apparently unbeknownst to reception, temporarily walled off. We had to return to reception (who I don't think believed us) and point this out. They asked […] a staff member, Andrew, to guide us there and even he was surprised to find there was no access to that hall. Had to go around. Later mentioned that to reception and I think they still thought we were nuts. Some compensation for our troubles (or just a "Sorry!" from reception) would have been nice. Andrew knew the truth and we tipped him well. Otherwise, great location and one I would recommend. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Adequate hotel - right next to airport."
Arrived at Dublin airport at 1:00 am. Short ride to hotel on free shuttle. Prompt check in at front desk. Rooms are smallish, plain, clean. Bar & restaurant are nice, Bar is open very late. Breakfast tasty but expensive.Genuine Expedia guest review
"We arrived at the hotel at 8 a.m. and they helped!"
I flew in on a red-eye flight from NYC. We arrived at 7 a.m. exhausted. Not every hotel will put you up when you arrive at 8 a.m. and wonder if it is at all possible to check in, but the people here did! That kind of service is worth the world to a weary traveler. Thanks!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lobby is great...rooms...not so much"
First of all, the lobby is wonderful and the food is quite good. The rooms need a ton of updating. For the price, we would have stayed somewhere else. It felt very dingy in the rooms...and you just felt dirty leaving.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, but DO NOT stay in room 149"
We stayed here the night before an early morning flight out of Dublin Airport. For that purpose it was ideal. The shuttle operated at all hours and the hotel is about as close as you can get. The hotel lobby is very nice and you get the feel the hotel is nice, but the rooms are not the best. The bathroom was great, but the rest of the room wasn't in […] the best of shape. The worst thing was the room we were put into, #149. It was located right next to the service elevator which was used a number of times during the night and is awfully loud. It was late when we got there and we had a very early flight, so we didn't waste the time asking to change the room, therefore I can't say how responsive they would have been to the request. "next to airport convenient"
the hotel doesn't look like much from the outside but appearances are deceiving. Really enjoyed my stay and the interior was clean, pleasant, modern. Most of all convenient for a 7 am flight. We ordered room service and they delivered the food in less than 15 minutes. Would definitely stay here againGenuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient to Airport"
The room was clean and the employees friendly. Didn't like having to pay for parking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed at this hotel for over night flight. Lobby was nice, but hotel room hallways were run down and dirty. My first room smelled of smoke and stains all over the carpet. I asked for another room and the person at the front desk helped and was friendly. The second room was free of the smoke smell, but still old dirty carpet. However, beds were clean […] and comfortable. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect for launch"
Having dinner and drinks in the lobby restaurant the night before departure was relaxing and enjoyable, the staff were super friendly and helpful! The fellow driving the shuttle in the morning was personable and thankfully strong, as the luggage was laden! I highly recommend this hotel and will stay againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very close to Dublin Airport"
Average hotel, in a very good location close to Dublin airportGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"outdated and inconvenient"
The lobby has been redone, but the rooms need a sore update. If you're not a smoker expect to walk long hallways and a lot of stairs, hauling your own luggage the entire time. Service was sporadic - front desk clerk was much more accommodating to the couple in front of me than to me. In the morning a second desk clerk was downright rude. Two clerks […] for that large of a hotel is not adequate. Room is dirty, stained, and uncomfortable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice enough, but"
I chose this hotel to stay at so I would not have a problem getting to my plane on time at the end of my eight day trip to Ireland. First problem I encountered, no elevators and my room was on the third floor. Dragging my luggage up stairs is very difficult as I have a bad leg. I asked and received a first floor room. That room was, without exaggeration, […] a good 50 yards from the lobby. See bad leg mentioned above. The restaurant was closed for some sort of corporate event so I was stuck with bar food. I got a toasted ham and cheese that was board-like and tasteless. My room was nice enough, but worn. The shower required engineering skill to get to work. For a quick overnight stay for a flight, it was okay. For a longer stay, forget it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small but comfortable room, a great overall value"
Being American, I was used to a much larger room. The bathroom was small, but clean, and had a good shower. The beds were twins that were pushed almost together, but they were very comfortable. People who travel to Europe from America need to remember that lodgings in Europe run smaller than they are used to, but it was a very nice hotel. It was practically […] right across the street from the airport, too! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"The Raddison would have been better"
I was not impressed with the facilities for the price. It was a $50.00 hotel room for a $100.00 price. The bathroom was not very clean, the walls were very thin and the carpet was a bit sketchy. I nearly checkout and crossed the road to the Raddison. I wouldn't recommend it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, nice restaurant, friendly staff"
Walkable from terminal 2 or you can take their free shuttle, great lobby area with restaurant and bar that stays open until 11. Staff is friendly. Rooms and facilities are old (CRT TV, that's how old). Bathroom is old but functional. Coffee and tea in room. Overall, it's a deal. I can appreciate that if the rooms were remodelled the price would be […] much higher. As it is, perfect for an overnight layover at DUB airport. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The hotel is in need of a remodel. the carpets were showing wear, and the chair in our room was frayed. I suspect that this will be done now that they have purchased the hotel from the previous owner.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Needs Lot of Updating"
The location to the airport was great. The community areas of the hotel were nice but the rooms are in serious need of an update. They are old and tired but worked fine for a night out before a flight.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good for business travelers"
The hotel is older - Maldron did as fine job updating the common areas after acquiring this hotel from Clarion but the rooms are in need of updating (still has Clarion plaque on bathroom wall). Restaurant and bar are good, and the location on airport grounds makes it great for an overnight stay (many airline employees stay there). "granted it was changeover day"
I heard it was the first day after becoming the maldron but ....my reservation was lost whcih casused a delay in checking in; they put me on an upper floor (i am 63 with a minor disability and a large heavy bag) in a hotel without a lift. The Bar staff was nice and the bar food was ok (a bit over-priced) and the only thing happening as the restaurant […] was closed (this was evening which i would think peek time for a hotel restaurant).. "Convenient, clean, comfortable"
Everything we needed. So close to the airport we walked there. Bus to Dublin right there too. Would certainly stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Flew into Dublin at 5 am and we arrived at a the hotel at 6am and even though check in was at 2pm they still gave me a room at 6am. Everyone was very nice and the place was clean. The lobby and restaurant was renovated but the rooms were a little aged. Still a good value for the price and location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location; can't get closer to the airport"
Good airport hotel. Clean rooms and lobby, friendly staff, good service. Limited but good bar and dining room menus. Just minutes from the main terminal by their transport; runs every 30 minutes; one Euro pp fare.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean hotel right at the airport"

"Adequate airport hotel"
There was no ice on the hall, or face clothes. (We got these in our other Ireland Hotels.) Could not eat the in restaurant unless ordering an expensive multi course meal. Hallways were drab and dark. Rooms were comfortable but blah. Could not get any breakfast unless you chose 15euro large breakfast. Next time we will choose another hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
For a 2 minute shuttle to the adjacent airport (1,000 ft~300m) they charged 1€ a person. If I knew ahead of time, I would have walked.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Shuttle service to airport for early flight."
For some reason we were put in a room that is meant for handicap people. We needed to use the shuttle service to the airport early in the morning. Our relatives who were in another room were not charged a fee to be brought to the airport. We were charged 1.00 each. Why were charged this fee? I assumed all the other paid the same fee.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Convenient location for airport travelers"
I greatly enjoyed my stay at the Clarion hotel. I was only in Dublin for a day before flying elsewhere, so I wanted a hotel that was near the airport. "Not customer service oriented!!!"
First - no elevators. If you have heavy luggage, you need assistance from porter. Second - porter does double duty as driver of shuttle bus to Dublin airport. So good luck if you expect quick service. Third - asked for a wake up call - it never came. Fourth - rooms quite small and quite old, but clean. Fifth - food at bar, quite good, but VERY poor […] attentiveness of waiters. Overall, I'd gladly pay more and stay in the Radisson next time we fly out of Dublin. "Proximity to airport"
BRIEF overnight stay! Shuttle service from and to the airport was A+ and this was the case because of your timely provision of transportation BUT MOST OF ALL the courteous driver who was informative, pleasant, and represented the Clarion quite nicely.
