What a lovely oasis in one of the busiest areas in London! The staff was wonderful, remembering us, our room numbers, etc. from start to finish! The welcome was especially warming since I had had some problems with our desired accommodations. I give Expedia credit for sorting that out!

We were catching a cruise in Southhampton so we decided to stay in London a few days before. I chose this particular hotel because of the fabulous location! It was within walking distance of so many things we wanted to see and do! It sits 5 min. from the Thames River where you can see Big Ben, the London Eye and many, many other great things! You can […] walk to Covent Gardens in 5 min. and shop til you drop! The ONLY complaint I had was my internet would not stay signed on and for the money, it was quite aggravating! Also, the hotel charges a LOT to exchange your money from dollars to pounds! My cab ride with having to pay to exchange my money, from the airport to the hotel costs me a bundle!! It was bad enough for just the ride alone, but add in the % to change the money, I almost swallowed my tongue! But the hotel is great and the location is even GREATER! Read more

The cleaning staff didn't get our room clean when we returned at 5 PM. But the room was large, comfortable with tub and shower (separate). When we called about the lack of room cleaning, they sent glasses of wine as consideration. Great location, so if you can get this for a decent discounted price, it was a great choice.

This hotel was very quiet the first few days we stayed there. We really appreciated it. It was in a good location. We were able to walk to many sights from this destination. The restaurant at this hotel was delicious (but expensive). Regarding the concierge- they were mostly helpful. (It's hard not to compare them to American concierge's that are 100% […] more helpful and informative, but they did their best- mostly being able to answer our questions, sometimes they just didn't have info. and there would be a few miscommunications. But that is a cultural thing I think). There is free wi-fi in the lobby, but the signal is very weak. So you really have to find a good location to use it. Overall, we did like this hotel. We spent two nights at this hotel as a part of our trip to Europe. Although the room was somewhat on the small size, there was adequate room for two people. It was a pretty room with a nice European style. The bathroom was on the large side for a European bathroom. The staff was very nice and helpful. They gave me initially a small room in the middle of nowhere and I complained. Then they moved me to a larger one with street window. The hotel is quite dark and need to have more lights.

The staff are well trained and go beyond to satisfy your needs. Very child friendly experience too! Our concierge named Med, made possible our early morning checkout smoothly as ever. He coordinated impecable our breakfast and car to the airport. Great location, near the play and muscal district. Would return in a heartbeat!

At first the hotel tried to place us in a room category lower than what we booked via Hotels.com. (Which is common practice amongst many hotels it seems). We called to the front desk when we arrived in our room -- as was actually in a small room without the queen bed we paid for...but then a friendly bell hop came to the room with our luggage, called […] the front desk and had us moved immediately to the room category we had originally paid for and reserved. I have stayed at this hotel many times under many different marquees / brands. I don't think I have ever stayed there without construction or some other type of disruption going on. 10 years running! The best thing about it is the gym in the lower ground level. And the location is very good - close to covent garden tube and almost equidistant from Holburn. […] Food is also quite mediocre. When checking in, the receptionist was quite rude. when I walked in to the room and opened the curtain, I found a wall inches from the window. When I called the front desk to ask if there were any other rooms available, I was told someone would call me back. I waited over 10 minutes with no response so I went up to the front and upon hearing my name, […] the lady knew right away that I was waiting for someone to call me, yet there she was chatting with a co-worker. Also, I didn't need my room cleaned so I called housekeeping to please just refresh the towels, no one came. I waited until morning and had to make another request. I do expect superior service when staying at a hotel that charges what the Waldorf does, but I was very disappointed to have gotten such poor service. I did get another room with a much better view, but since it was low season with not many rooms occupied, I don't understand why they would give me what seemed like the worst room in the hotel. When you think of the Waldorf you think of old world charm and sofistication. When you walk in the front door everything gives this impression. Afternoon tea and dinner in the restaurant were a pleasure. The breakfast room was beautful. We were however very disappointed with our room and this was after paying for an upgrade on arrival. Here the charm […] stops, the room was very modern with orange paint and silver grey drapes and was not a place in which I would choose to relax. A tangle of wires with small lights made up the light fixture over the bed. The bed however was very comfortable but I was happy we were there for only one night. The hotel is in a great location and is well kept and updated. The main issue we had staying there was the small size of the room. The bed seemed smaller than a queen bed, and there was hardly any space in the room around the bed. My suggestion would be to upgrade to a king size bed/ room if at all possible.

The hotel is in a great location. I walked to all the sights I wanted to see! The hotel itself was nice -- rooms aren't really big, but what you would expect in a big city and they make good use of the space. However, the service and staff attitudes were incredibly varied. We've been going to London regularly for many years and really only discovered The Waldorf Hilton a couple of years ago, when our usual hotel was totally booked.. This is such a great location as well as a fine hotel, that my husband insists that we never again stay anywhere else! Nearly everywhere one would want to go is within walking distance.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel, the staff was very welcoming and helpful. Although we arrived very early, they were able to give us a room right away. Once we set out from the hotel, arrmed with maps and information supplied with by the staff, we discovered the hotel was in a great location. The London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Picadilly Circus […] and many other sights were within walking distance Also close by were all forms of public transportation. The rooms was very clean and I felt large for European hotels. Amenities were wonderful as was the breakfast provided at the hotel.
