Have stayed here twice now, and had very good experiences both times. Quiet rooms, friendly front-desk service, attractive room decor, and close to plenty of places to eat etc. On my second stay they upgraded us to a larger room, which was nice. The only issue I encountered was on my second time there, when I was checking under the beds the next morning […] (to make sure we didn't leave anything behind), I discovered several pieces of someone else's trash (plastic cup, water bottle, jelly beans, crumbs..and a suspicious stain that I didn't investigate further). That was a bit off-putting, but I didn't make a big deal at checkout, since they had been great otherwise, and my previous room had been spotless. Bottom line, I would stay there again, but perhaps check under the beds BEFORE I settled into the room. ;) Read more

Staff was great, breakfast was not as good as other hotels, my coffee cups (in the room) had holes in them and leaked on my table and almost on my laptop. The sink was stopped up. However, the room was otherwise very nice, and they had high def channels on the tv, and the service was excellent!! I would definitely stay again, and actually plan to.

If your looking to save some money and just need a nice place to spend the night , the LivINN is adequate. The only downer was the cleanliness of the elevator and hallways. I had to find a hotel room at a moment's notice, and I wanted to spend as little as possible. I chose the LivInn Hotel, and fulfilled what I needed it to be: A room with a comfy bed for me to be able to stay the night. It was not the cleanest room, and the hallways sounded like a dorm (to be fair, I did stay on New Year's Eve, so it didn't come as a […] surprise that there were some louder parties going on), and my "no smoking" room smelled an awful like many people before me have had a smoke or thirty. Again, for the price that i paid for this room (and especially on short notice), this room fit my needs and I was ok with, but this would not be a room that I would want my family to stay in for an extended period of time. the hotel was ok except someone car horn kept going off outside and the building is not very sound proof. could here the elevator door bell all night and the heater fan in our room was very noisy on start up. the rooms were nice and affordable.

The rooms were not very clean. Couldn't find the remote and it was under thebedcovered in stickyness. Soda spilled on the wall. Items not plugged in. Coffee in the room was just a tiny cup at time with only 1 cup and no condiments. The breakfast was just prepackaged danishes, nothing fresh. Very disapointed.

I really enjoyed our stay at the LivINN. Bill, the manager was great and even after he was obviously leaving after his shift he still stopped to make sure everything was well by us. He also gave us directions to mall of America because he said GPS would not take us in a very direct manner. The beds were not super comfortable and the tile in the bathroom was a bit outdated, but everything else was great. The rooms are well kept and the little breakfast area is a nice touch. The beds were comfortable but the room itself was out dated, stuffy and had a bit of a must foot odor/dirty clothes odor to it. The staff however was very courteous and helpful! I would probably find a different hotel to stay at in the future though.

First the staff was very kind, she even let us check in 30 min. early. Even though I prepaid online, the rooms were overbooked so, they gave us 3 instead of 2 rooms and did not charge for the 3rd room. The rooms say no smoking on the outside but were obviously smoking rooms at one point, they smelled horrid. The cleaning staff sprayed them which just […] made them smell like the spray. Our toilet would not stop running and the heater/air made an awe full noise before it would turn on. It is an express breakfast which means not so good unless you like pre packaged bakery. However, It did have bananas and small cereal containers. Again, the staff was great, the rooms that were once smoking rooms need major cleaning to get rid of the smell and damage from the smoking. I will start by saying that this hotel won't be for everyone. It is a less expensive option without the amenities of a kitchenette and or spa/fitness/pool. With that said, I have to RAVE about my wife and I's experience. As a US Public Health Officer-- I have traveled extensively during my career. I have been in 87 countries, 6 of the 7 land masses […] and 46 states. I have stayed at many hotels ranging from extremely posh to bare bones. I found my stay at this hotel to be one of the best experiences to-date. Special mention of front service desk staff Jessica at the Burnside MN location. We found Jessica invaluable throughout our entire stay. The cleaning staff were always polite and they did their jobs well (I never saw one code violation or safety concern and I would notice because that is part of what I do as a career). I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for honest folks who will be professional but also be personable. Price.. it was reasonable for summer travel rate. I especially liked that this establishment did not try to tack anything extra on at the end of our stay--as I have had that very disturbing experience happen occasionally with other higher end hotel establishments. We booked a room with 2 queen beds, but were given one with a king. The extra bed they brought in for my daughter turned out to be an inflatable mattress!! Staff friendly. Rooms quite worn. Stayed there only because of its location, which was perfect.
