"Mom and daughter trip to Europe."
Pro's: This was my first time traveling to Europe. My mom and I were both pleased with Bristol Stephanie. The facility is visually appealing and very clean. I'm a terrible sleeper and don't recall ever hearing outside noises. The walls are well insulated. The subway is within walking distance from the hotel. My Mom and I only know English and that was […] not a problem. Everyone at the hotel, and the surrounding area, know English fairly well. Cons: It would have been nice to have the ability to exchange currency at the hotel. However, there is a Western Union which will exchange your US dollars to Euro's several blocks away. Also, breakfast at the hotel Monday - Friday (25 Euros per person) is significantly higher than on Saturdays and Sundays (13 Euros per person). Please keep that in mind because everyone at the hotel seems fairly clueless about this gigantic price change (and no, you do not get less on the weekends). Exki is a great place nearby for breakfast if you are looking for something much cheaper. To sum it up: Coming from America, we had to adjust to the size of everything in Europe - from the small food portions, tiny cars, skinny people, tiny walk ways, narrow roads, and ESPECIALLY the small "cups of coffee" which are actually Espresso. Luckily, they do not skimp on the beer portions. ;) Please keep in mind, European beds are much smaller by American standards. Most beds are single or two doubles pushed together to make one large bed. Enjoy! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, huge rooms, some faults"
One of the best locations in Brussels with huge, really huge rooms. Very tidy with excellent room amenities and great beds. The one fault was the poorly built and very poorly functioning shower. Otherwise excellent!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great value hotel"
This looked like a true 4 star hotel until we got to the elevator which was at the back of the hotel with room for hardly four people. There was only one elevator for 6 floors. Room did not have carpets but had laminated floor, making me feel if I was at a government run apartment for low income families. On the positive side, location, breakfast selections […] and friendly staff made our stay enjoyable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very spacious room was perfect for family of 4. Kids on sofabed. Two twin beds were easily pushed together to equal a king. Bathroom had shower stall and bathtub. Nice soap.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good little hotel"
About 2km from grand place although an easy walk. Was exceptional value for money and rooms a decent size for us and the kids.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 children and had lots of space. The separate toilet / bath / shower room was useful. When we requested extra towels/ tea/coffee/milk from housekeeping they delivered promptly. We didn't use the fitness suite so I can't comment.Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and plenty for everyone, if anything […] ran out the waiters would fill it up again even 5 minutes before the restaurant closed. The hotel was in a nice location with lots of ( designer) shops and a small supermarket. Plenty of restaurants nearby and just a 10 minute walk to the Metro station where you could reach any area of Brussels for just a few Euros. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very good stay"
The hotel is in a nice area. The tram stop is very close and the the metro stop is a little further but within walking distance. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Brussels.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Over priced and poor service."
30 minutes waiting to check in (having pre-paid). 15 minutes waiting to have car park ticket validated. Breakfast at 27 euros would have been disappointing at 10 euros (and is now my worst value meal EVER).Genuine Expedia guest review
"Spacious rooms with very comfortable beds."
Located in the upper town of brussels along a nice street which is easy to find. We stayed here through a friend's recommendation and we were not disappointed. The rooms were very big and comfy, we would stay here if we chose to visit again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful hotel, ideal for business trip"
This is my second visit to the hotel. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival. The bedroom was beautiful and so relaxing. Unfortunately, I only stayed one night. Wish it could have been a lot longer! Had a wonderful dinner at the hotel. Would certainly recommend.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good quality 4 star"
This is a proper 4 star hotel (usually 4 star hotels turn out to be 3 star in reality) and I had a large comfortable room with a well equipped bathroom. If you mind traffic noise then you will need to take a chance that you can get a room away from the front of the hotel however, as it is next to a very busy road. Location is best for shopping rather […] than business. A short walk from metro. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very well situated, needs renovation"
Very convenient location (directrly on Avenue Louise-Place Stephanie). Although the rooms look renovated, attention to detail was not sufficient (bathroom/tab old, soap missing at the WC sink, not enough light when entering the room). The room itself was clean and spacious enough for a family of 4. Friendly personnel at the front desk. Breakfast buffet […] ok, awful DIY coffee from a machine, the waiters attending breakfast seemed overwhelmed (not enough cutlery, a bunch of spoons was brought barehand by the waiter, dropped things while taking away dishes, cups and cutlery since they did not use any serving trays...) "Good hotel for a business trip"
Hotel staff very helpful in sorting out confusion caused through Expedia system which meant my details had been muddled with another guest. Comfortable quiet room and plentiful tasty meals in the restaurantGenuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel very central, close to shops and restaurants."
Brussels is a lovely place to visit and would definitely want to go again in the summer, it was so easy to get to via the Euro star. All the people we came across were very friendly and the fact we could speak very little French was no real problem as most people, even if they spoke little English, were very helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Soul-less subpar business hotel"
Poor customer service. Quiet shopping area, no nightlife or good cultural/food options. Unattractive, worn out rooms. Not at all romantic. A lot of hidden charges.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Clean room, away from city noise. Refurbished to modern standards. The hotel bar also had great atmosphere. Definitely recommended.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great for a Brussels Break"
Had a few days catch up with my daughter in Brussels over a weekend. This hotel was a fabulous choice. We arrived from Bruxelles midi and a short metro ride later to Louise and the hotel was 5 mins walk away. The walk past shops for us was never a hardship! Location was excellent as the Metro is a great way to travel around Brussels if you dont have […] a long time there. Grand Place probably about 30 minutes walk but please dont let that put you off as the hotel's location is fab! The rooms were huge - twin beds for us and a cosy sofa allowed us to really relax after sightseeing. Bathroom huge and the room was absolutely spotless. 5 stars for the housekeeping staff who obviously do a fantastic job. Beds were really comfortable. Cant commend on breakfast or food in the hotel as we had already made arrangements at other local places but restaurant and bar did look lovely. Front of house staff were very helpful and service was extremely efficient. For a break in Brussels the Thon Hotel Bristol Stephanie was very hard to beat. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
A convenient, clean and moderately priced hotel for the centre of Brussels. It's not too far from a stop on Brussels excellent underground Metro system. There a number of shops close to the hotel. My only real complaint was with the beds in our room (407). We were allocated a twin room with two singles beds. Both mattresses had seen better days and […] weren't very comfortable. The mattresses had a tendency to move off the base of bed, and we had to re-adjust them several times during the night - not the best if you want a good night's sleep!! "Great Hotel and friendly staff."
Great value for money, very comfortable and staff are friendly and very helpful if you have any questions about the area etc. highly recommended.Genuine Expedia guest review
The rooms by the lifts (201, 301, 401 etc) are pathetically small. However all others are generously large. A good all-round hotel, with the exception of the Reception Desk, which is always under staffed. The quality of service you receive from the Reception staff can also varies dramatically.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"a great place to stay"
We were very pleased with the room, though one of the mattresses was noticeably lower than the other. It was very large, quiet and well-appointed. The location was well within walking distance of the city center and had a variety of interesting shops and restaurants nearby.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Norwegians should not adapt..."
free wifi? yeah for an hour then you must purchase after that. what happen to costumer service with complementary wifi?, even just a bed and breakfast motel in Norway always have? And 7 Euro of city tax ,why should a tourist ask to pay tax for a nights stay? Nevertheless a Norwegian oldies but goodies motifs in guest rooms reminds me of my grandmothers […] house made me sleep like a baby. aside from the amazingly small elevators Thon Hotels is still a value for the money. We ended up on the top floor in a suite with a roof top balcony which was very convenient since we were travelling with a group of 8 people. It was easy for us to have everyone for snacks and drinks in our room. Price was exceptional compared to the other hotel rates in Europe. Buffet breakfast was good. Would definitely recommend this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent rooms and excellent situation.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Fantastic hotel, used it before for business and this time took my wife for a short break. The size of the room was great, bed was very comfortable and the staff really friendly. It is in a great location and only a short walk into the city with great shops on the doorstep! Will definitely go back againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very good hotel overall but some rooms are noisy"
I stay at this hotel frequently and normally like it a lot. This time, however, I had a room overlooking the street behind the hotel. My window was above the delivery entrance. The windows are single glaced, and it was very noisy. Half an hour past midnight a delivery truck left the engine on for about half an hour, and early in the morning I was woken […] up by more trucks stopping and starting just below my window. Apparently some rooms are in urgent need of better sound insulation. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good value for money"
Everything was perfect - friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast. Good location and the room was great (we are a family of four). The only thing I would advise is to provide free WiFi, we travelled through Europe on a three week holiday and most hotels provided free WiFi. We strongly recommend the hotel and will stay there again anytime.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"City break in Brussels with family"
We had a great short city break in Brussels with our 2 older children. The hotel is situated in a lovely area, full of classy shops and lots of restaurants to choose from plus a Metro station is close by. We found a wonderful toy shop just down the road that kept the kids entertained. We ordered room service for a treat which was very quick. The hotel […] is on a main road but our room was surprisingly quiet. The only down side was that the kids shared a sofa bed which wasn't very comfortable but other than that we were very pleased with our stay and would definitely use a Thon Hotel again in the future. "Not what you expect!"
Staff not the most helpful although quite friendly. Under staffed so food and drinks took time to get. Dining area had six tables and was within the lounge/bar area which had about eight tables and sofas which is more than the dining section. Staffs friends back and forth messing about by the piano (which is in the lobby). What looked like a prostitute […] sitting about outside in freezing weather. A guy who stopped on the way past outside to urinate albeit with his back turned. No sign of gym or pool area. The rooms were quite good and clean but this hotel isn't what you expect it to be and I wouldn't recommend it as it's not even cheap. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"High standard hotel but scabby on Internet access"
Everything to a high, 4 star standard. lovely large room with flat screen tv, king bed, clean shower, loo etc and balcony with great view on tenth floor. 2 downsides were only an hour's free Internet access and extortionate rates thereafter and streetwalkers outside at night as after dark this central shopping area is a mini red light district.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
