"Excellent for price"
Excellent hotel for the price. Great location for exploring Brussels. Both tram and train stops nearby. Grand Place only about a 10 to 15 minute walk. Hotel staff were all super friendly and helpful. Nice room. All other comparable hotels were $200 a night - for the price this place is a great deal.

"Central location"
This older hotel (at least 45 years) attracts through its central location. It is close to good shopping and eating districts and convenient for public transport. As we were appartment hunting, we made good use of the parking garage. Unfortunately, the restaurant is not open for lunch and the fitness area lacks a pool. Warning: do not take a room facing the back street: containers start to roll in and out at 5 AM.

"Would not stay here again unless required"
I have written a lengthy review on TripAdvisor which can be seen, but the main points are as follows: (1) the front desk was impersonal and understaffed (many times no one would be at the desk, every time I called the front desk from my room, no one answered the phone), nothing warm or welcoming about this place; when lost luggage was delivered to the hotel from the airport we had to come down to collect ut ourselves; (2) the 13 euro breakfast was fine but still overpriced, and was presented as a special arrangement to avoid paying 25 euros. Could not imagine paying 25 euros. (3) the room (#64 Olaf Suite) was clean, but several issues: (a) when a light was turned it blew the fuse of the entire suite, requiring a call to the front desk (see above) when the fuse was finally flipped the offending light bulb was never replaced;; (b) the walls were paper thin such that we could hear a family playing and laughing in the adjacent room until past 11pm when I finally had to go next door and ask them to be quiet; (c) the security lock on the terrace sliding door was broken preventing us from feeling safe; (d) our extra bed was to be charged for 25 euros for the stay but we learned upon checkout that it was 25 euros per night - we were too disappointed with the hotel to argue. This was a four star hotel??????

"TERRIBLE STAFF who think's the own the hotel!"
Excellent hotel, but the staff is very unfriendly... I'm a young guy and I stayed with my friends days ago, and since this is a kinda upscale hotel, I feel like they suppose I cannot pay for that rooms (around 10,000 Euros), maybe they need to appreciatte their customers more... I payed everything in advance... so HELLO!!!! They even ask if our company pay for our stay!! WT.. We were on vacations!!! Stereotypes... wrong just wrong Staff always with a weird face.. cm'on .. You are not the owners, you are just workers there.. We are who pay ypur checks with our stays..

"Great hotel for a stay in Brussels"
I stayed at the hotel for one night with my sisters. We arrived early in the morning, and they were very accomodating in setting up our room for us. Although I had booked the hotel for 3, it seemed their records indicated that I had booked it for two. However, they let me know that someone would come and set up the sofa bed for us in a couple of hours, which happened. The hotel is located on a very famous street and was surrounded by high end stors such as Dior, Versace, LV, and Chanel, if that's what you're looking for. Brussels is a very walkable city so I didn't feel as though I was too far from anything. There was also a train station very close by. It was a very pleasant stay, and I would certainly recommend it again.

Only had one night in Brussels & crack of dawn departure to airport. We took convenient Louise Metro after arriving for shopping and sights. Downside is nearly $50 fixed rate for taxi to airport. If not for so much luggage due to extended time in EU and early hour we definitely would have taken metro to central train and from there direct to airport. It is only about 10 miles from hotel so taxi fee is excessive.

"Good hotel well situated"
I have lived in Brussels and wanted to be in this neighborhood. I also needed 2 beds in a room, all at a good rate, so this hotel was ideal. They were extremely accommodating and since I stayed for over 10 days they were kind enough to offer me some extras. Like many hotels there if you forego room cleaning they provide a 5 Euro coupon per day for the restaurant. Note that the only free internet is the single computer in the lobby, although they have a reasonable daily rate, and weekly rate for WiFi. . The breakfast on weekends is only 13 Euros and is a great buffet (more on weekdays). Plenty to do, see and eat in the shopping and historic district all nearby at walking distance.

"An honest review."
This was our first stay in Belgium and were very skeptical of where to stay. We were absolutely satisfied with the room/service/food/bar! We stayed for 2 days then stayed in Paris for 2 days and came back for the remainder of the stay and didn't get in until 11:30 pm and ended up getting a room on the smoking floor due to the hotel was booked. The next day we were moved to a non-smoking floor with no delay in preparing the room for our move even though the hotel was full.

The room was really nice and spacious but it was on the first floor above a street where trucks were delivering goods every morning from 5AM. The windows were not very well sound insulated and it was just impossible to sleep after 5AM.... Besides, I did not find the personnal very friendly either. For a 4**** hotel, I think there are still things to be improved !!

"Life (in Belgium) is a box of chocolates!"
Couldn't have been happier with the Bristol Stephanie. The room was spacious by American standards, and huge by European standards. And it was quiet. The bathroom was nice, with two sinks and plenty of counter space. The Avenue Louise metro station wasn't a five minute walk away, with at least two breakfast places on the way. The Congolese neighborhood with its interesting restaurants was also a convenient walk. Hotel service was very good, including the fact that we were able to check in upon arrival from New York at 7:45 a.m. And every day you keep the same towels and sheets, you get a 5 Euro voucher for the bar. I had only two peeves: the in-room safe didn't work, because one of the wires had come disconnected (OK, practically no one ever steals anything in Belgium, so who cares?); and the beds were soft and saggy for our aging backs. Also, beware that your hotels.com price does NOT include a city tax (we paid a little more than 7 Euros a night).

Excelent. We stayed for 4 nights. The hotel is nice, clean and the restaurant buffet for breakfast is also very good but, the attention of the personnel at the front desk was the best. They helped us a lot (tours, direction, information,etc) and are really kind. Specially a french girl in the morning. Sorry I did not get her name.

"Very nice"
Check in quick and easy with helpful staff. Room was beautiful and huge. Only downside for me was I found the bed very uncomfortable and slept on the sofa bed the second night. Room was quiet despite the busy road outside, thanks to tripple glazing. Short walk from underground and trams. Area made up of very expensive shops and a few restaurants.

"Nice hotel"
Beautiful hotel...decor very nice and clean. Most staff were welcoming and pleasant. We were disappointed to discover that there were no pool facilities in the hotel, like it said on the website. Instead there is access to a pool at a nearby leisure centre at a cost of €25pp. Good range of breakfast foods; after 9am very crowded and had to wait to be seated. Overall experience was good.

This is an okay hotel. Our 'family' room was at the back of the hotel and to get to it we had to go through a stinky corridor (smelt very strong of chemicals) and a dingy elevator and barely noticeable stairs. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly, although, the receptionist didn't quite explain what the extra 'city tax' charge was for and withheld a payment on my card and said it would be returned to me on check-out but obviously not. The family room in the pictures look much bigger than it actually is. We were out most of the day in our 3-day-stay in Brussels so didn't quite spend much time in the hotel so its only a fair comment based on the 'hours' we spent there.

"Great Room!"
The room was wonderful! It was very spacious, modern, and comfortable. Probably the nicest hotel room for the last 10 hotels I've stayed in. The fresh squeezed orange juice (automated juicer) made the breakfast buffet. Reception was also very accommodating.

Enjoyed the stay. Good size room.hotel in a good location plenty of restaurants nearby. Breakfast was good used the restaurant first night and it was excellent.we arrived on an early morning flight and went to hotel with the intention of dropping off luggage and explore city until check in time but the guy on reception gave us the room immediately. That was a great help. Overall really enjoyed the stay.

We stayed for 3 nights. The room was OK and the service was slow and they were uncoordinated. Seemed that when you asked for something they didn't know how to get it done. It took 3 hours for them to make up the pull out couch. We would have done it ourselves but there was no bedding in the room.

"Very Comfortable Stay"
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the hotel. The room was surprisingly very big, the sizeable double bed and the pleasant sofa bed slept all four of us very comfortably. However the room was not very well lit and the faucet was somewhat confusing! We did not take breakfast in hotel as the hotel is situated very conveniently on Avenue Louise close to a tram station and metro station, allowing us to explore the area to scavenge as we prefer a more local breakfast. Free Wi-Fi was very speedy and the in-hotel parking was convenient and quite reasonably priced. All in all a very pleasant stay!

"good business hotel"
I stay here regularly when travelling for business. It is comfortable, functional hotel with quite a spacious gym. The staff are very friendly and helpful but there always appears to be too few of them at the reception desk which means checking in and out is often slow. The room service food is ok but doesn't vary much. It can be difficult to get a taxi so book well in advance. The neighbourhood is good if you like shopping but its a bit of a walk to the Parliament or Grand Place areas. The hotel is located on a busy main road.

"Fuss-free but comfortable"
The rooms are large and quiet and relatively comfortable. The bed was also firm and comfortable. I found the Bathroom larger than usual. Room had a lot of mirrors. There was free wifi, which is always appreciated, and the speed was decent. There are however very basic facilities in the room. No robes and slippers. Location was convenient for me because I had a conference at the Steigenberger Hotel. However, if you wish to be nearer tourist attractions such as the Grand Place and the museums, then this hotel may not be so convenient.

"Beautiful Hotel with large rooms."
This with beautiful hotel with amazing location, large rooms and bigger than king size bed. With all the spoilt choices, we feel sofabed in a family room could be made little more comfortable with added mattress topper.

"Excellent felt like a 5 star hotel."
Lovely hotel, with impeccable staff all very friendly & polite. The hotel room itself was very sophisticated & elegant. All of the rooms were all very clean and I can assure you that this hotel did look like a 5 star hotel. The only bad thing was that the hotels room service meals were pretty expensive, as well as the drinks. A coca cola was 4.50€ Which I think was a bit too much. Overall, I think that it honestly was good value for money. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who plans on visiting Brussels as it located very near to all the main monuments.

"This Thon Hotel was Let down by Reception Manager."
Hotel was good. The Reception Manager was very rude and not honest when dealing with a problem. He should be sent on a customer service training program. He just walked away saying that he had a meeting to go to. Not a good example to his staff. His action let the good name of Thon Hotels down.

"Nice stay"
The superior room was well-kept and clean, with comfortable seating area and spacious bathroom. Staff were extremely polite. I asked for an early check in and was able to get a room even before 11 am, which was really nice. The only minor thing was the additional city tax, which I had to pay on checkout, which I could not find mentioned in my booking with Hotels.com. Otherwise everything was great, I would definitely stay there again.
